Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

yup, freeshooter. That bit you suggested on #2 makes sense. (see? we're not always opposed to ya...)

pyramids are, as sep said, more structurally sound. But they're not optimal when it comes to walls or optimal use of land area. But even in walls, the same principles are occasionally used. Having a slight slope on the walls makes them considerably harder to break down. The more noticeable the slope, the easier to scale. But of course, medieval architects solved that too. They had a slight slope at the lower parts, then a nice little overhang at the top, negating the scaling advantage the slope gave, and then some.

Besides, even when building a square building, it can be a pyramid. But we know what you meant. We just had to say that bit.

We suspect that the reason for the "toe" part in the toe ring is to conceal the relic. But we'd think that should anyone capture her and know she's an evoker, the suspicious ring around the toe is the first to be checked. Not the clearly worthless ring on one finger. Face it, everyone can feasibly end up being captured.
Had we wanted to hide a ring relic, we'd have put several other objects in places that are of varying levels of curious placement.

Not to mention, on toe ring... unless we're sorely mistaken, a ring in a place like a toe will chafe the wearer. Especially if (s)he is walking a lot. Shoes in the middle ages (even for the rich) were not all that good. Adding a metal object inside them wouldn't help for comfort.
A few minor things, Assallya...

  1. Crossbows don't exist here. That was decided early in the OoC.

  2. Going about virtually naked is quite implausible. Especially in combat. Chain mail too noisy? get someone to make you a set armor that is padded to prevent most clinking.
Or you could find some master artisan to make a suit of armor that has articulated joints that do not move freely enough in relation to each other to clink. (near-)Nudity in combat isn't plausible no matter how you try to excuse it.

  3. Toe ring? How plausible is that in a medieval society?

  4. Which nation is she part of here?

  5. Is she loyal to any nation in particular?

that does look like a wonderful island, Sparks.
no matter if its known or not, it'll provide interesting plot elements.
There's one major issue: There's on cheese! There must be cheese! Lovely cheese!

It might be a touch sparse in the how of his getting to join the bandit clan and so forth, and not much to explain why he wants to be something different, but that doesn't change the fact that this is worlds better than v.1. Not sure how it'll work, but then there's only one real way to discover that.

we're not in the mood to nitpick today.
Fairly sure sparks has specified no sentient species other than humans. Even if some evokers can be questioned about whether they are truly human any longer.
yes, we liked your Numiel. We can see her bothering Sep's plans quite a bit.

Once the basic culture and layout of the empire is finished, we can start breaking it in funny ways.
Good to know it was their belief. and it makes sense for fanatics.

we tend to rather be serious ourselves, but we know Sparks likes having things slightly less serious.

We think it is nice when disparate lore is tied together.
ok, two quick questions for that lore, Alida...

One, is this hard-coded and proven, or is it what the Knights of Idris believe?
Two, do you have suggestions for how we all can use this lore and other lore to make this RP less deadly serious?
Right. We forgot that.

What you can essentially extract out of this all: If you're an evoker, you will find that there's much of any safe place for you to be yourself in the central/eastern/northern sections of Azukhar unless you associate with one of the major factions, and maybe not even then. If the major factions don't get you, the peasants will.
