I've been on here since before the fall, way back when I was a middle schooler. It seems a lot more slow paced on here then it once was. I'm also old now soooo maybe that is it.

Is there going to be an OOC or is this it?
@LadyRunic When (what age?) and how do Fae go about choosing what court they are in. Or are they just born into it?

In the fae worlds are there towns, cities...? Are the courts reminiscent of like royal European court, a kings court taking place in a palace?

Or is a court more of a binding term, like democratic vs republican, or Christian vs Jewish? idk know how to explain what I mean....

Are there jobs, or professions other then court titles, or knights?

I'm assuming cultures/traditions very from fae species to fae species?

The whole having a power over knowing someones 'true' name? I'm assuming the name on the CS is not there 'true' name but their birth name? And that their true name is something only they know. Like in Eragon? or in the Caster Chronicles series?

Does the fae realm resemble the human world (in terms of the map, and geography of earth.). Does it mirror earth? Minus the humans, tech, and so on?

Are their and religions? And does what fae you are define the kind of culture they follow(ed)? Like a Dijinn that is from Arabian/Islamic mythologies would dress in that kind of style. Or a Banshee from celtic myth, would be... idk?

@LadyRunic So what is the fae realm/courts like, are the fae walking around with cell phones wearing jeans, or is it more...idk...magical.

So I've read the book Wicked Lovely, and that is kind of what I'm picturing, its similar to 'Mortal Interments' world. The fae live beside humans, but are invisible, and have places/politics/tech/culture of there own.

I've also seen the TV show 'Lost Girl' and this is also mixing its way into what I imagine the world like. So the fae live alongside humans under glamour, doing human jobs and so on to help serve their court. The difference between humans and fae are the appearance and abilities, laws, and so on. Kind of like the show 'Grimm' if you don't know 'Lost Girl'.

Is it more like a completely different world like Narnia, or neverland? Humans living in there own world, and the the Fae world is separate, and old fashion medieval style, stuck in the ancient ways? But like in the show 'Outlander', their are openings in the human world to enter the Fae realm?

Or is it like the 'Harry Potter' universe. Which is kind of like a mix of all of the above...?
@Emma There's no catch phrase. if they are a mix it generally doesn't matter. Unless it's apparent.

I see, but what do I put under race on the CS if she is mixed?
And what are hybrid fae called? Is there a catch all term, or does it depend on what mix they are?
@Emma Your making me think! Geez, this is fun! Reproduction depends on the fae. Ents grow from a seed, some hatch, some are born normally, and other are spun by very powerful Fae that understand the beginning mystery. The thing which started Life. It's the Holy Graile and should a Fae know it, they would not use it for fear of the price. Life comes at a cost when making it from the hands of the Fae.

As for genetics, they can cross breed but pure lines are more desirable to some as they are thought to be and usually are more powerful. A cross breed will take after a parent or be a hybrid if it's possible. Ie. Elf and Season-born equals a Powerful Elf with Seasonborn qualities. A pegasus and Unicorn makes a Alicorn.

Right there!! Sounds kind of like a winner for Marzanna. Depending on what kind of elves we are taking about. Santa/Tolkien/Eargon/Wood/High/Light/Dark/Moon/etc???

Second of all UNICORNS are my favorite. That and salamanders.

@Emma Pandora? Like the movie Avatar? Nope.

Season-born are more trained than made. They learn how the Fae work and over the years may become fae themselves if they start as humans. As Changelings they pick it up easier as they are part Fae.

No not the Planet in Avatar. Pandora in Greek mythology. Most of my Myth knowledge pertains to Greek, Roman, and Celtic myth, with a bit of Russian and Norse folklore tossed in.

Pandora is similar to Eve (of Adam & Eve) of Christianity. She was created to be the first human woman, and was to be a curse on humanity. Created by multiple gods. She was gifted specific attributes/abilities by the different gods. So like Aphrodite the goddess of Beauty/Love/Desire she gifted Pandora with beauty and grace.

So in this RP, I though when you said ---

Season-born are shaped by the Fae or Fae (Plural) that turns them. They are what that Fae designed. Save in extremely rare cases.

Season-Born

I assumed Fae take a human and shape them into a something else over a period of time Basically a fae turns a human into a fae of their own design, for various reasons.

Another question, reproduction, and genetics in this RP. How does that work. Can a Banshee and a Goblin have a baby together? and if yes is the offspring a hybrid, or just takes after one parent? Is birth a thing or do Fae just come into being somehow?? Sorry for all the questions, just find this all very interesting and AWESOME!

@Six Six Six Their is also a Greek myth just like that, the whole wishes for immortality forget to ask for youth thing. I kind of rather not play a skeleton person thought, so appearance wise I just stick to beautiful, mythical, fairy, ethereal, person. There is also mention of Marzanna appearing as a beautiful you girl, and an old hag. Thank young for the info though, Good stuff!

Sorry if I'm making no sense!!

So created like Pandora kind of thing? But started out as a human, and morphed into a hybrid? kind of new fae?
@LadyRunic Are Season-Born then considered lesser fae, changelings, or slave/servant kind of things? I was also wondering about death/aging and immortality pertaining to the Fae?

EDIT* Since they live so long, is changing court at all any kind of possibility, even if rare?.
