Ari tenses up and initially tries to back out of it, but then they make contact, and Ari's mind freezes.

He feels stuck in the moment for minutes, his brain awashed with feelings and memories. His autistic mind has no idea how to process what's going on; are his feelings that are developing just now even real or are they fake and is he just crazy and needs to get out and live on a farm for the rest of his life or --

As they briefly kiss, the door opens and a man walks in. Blue shirt and a black tie, jeans, dress shoes. The man stands bewildered for a moment, before shouting angrily in a thick stereotypical New York accent --

"I-- Ari, what the fuck are you doing?! We've been searching the entire god damn place for you, and you're fucking making out with her? I--"

"If you're not out in five minutes I'm going to fucking ream your ass. Shit man." The man leaves the room as quickly as he entered, slamming the door.

'Um...'

Ari's mind is flooding with questions and anxiety and thoughts and feelings and hormones. He shouldn't be doing this, he can't do this, not right now and only months after he just broke up with his boyfriend!... and he just met her right now and he's miserable and probably just bait and she's probably just teasing him...

Ari stares at her. 'I..' He doesn't answer.

'..Oh! Erm...' Ari giggles lightly and blushes more. A complement that even his ex never gave him. Damn. 'Thanks..? I--'

Ari starts speaking faster than he was before. He was getting a little excited, because she actually seemed easy to talk to. A lot of people he knew he had to really put effort into the conversation in how to phrase things, but he felt freer with Violet. Interesting. 'Well, I think you are. You look fine. You got the whole, um... grunge-kinda look with the punk look too... it kind of reminds me of the 70s -- go figure -- looks cool. You look like Michael Jackson on Bad, kind of.'

'If it weren't for the tour I'd ask you to collaborate on my next record I'm making... maybe if there's a couple of days that we aren't playing, maybe...' Ari shrugged.

Ari grinned slightly. He looked away, hiding a blush on his part. 'Um, thanks, man. I don't really like it but I guess that's because I have no self-esteem. Thanks a lot..'

'You... you fell in love...?' Ari asked, actually bewildered that that was the actual case.

Ari felt weird. 'You're like all the groupies and shit who sent me death threats after I came out as gay a couple of years ago...' Ari chuckled to himself, recalling the stress that he felt after all of that happened. The KKK sent him public death threats. Death threats got mailed to his friend's house intended for him. He got denounced by an Idahoan senator, the works.

'Um... sorry for pushing it then... I... you're cool too, I really like your music...'

'Are you sure..?' Ari timidly asks. He doesn't want to get yelled at, but he still is really curious and mildly suspicious.

Despite his uncertanties and anxieties he thinks it might be a crush? But then again it could be a million other things, and Ari feels horrible for thinking that. How egocentric can he be..?

'...Fall in what?' Ari turned his gaze and for the first time actually looked in Violet's eyes. For a moment atleast, because he looks away but still looks in her general direction.
