But it may not. And we can come up with something tighter in the future.

I'd rather him be stuck figuring it out than stuck trying to escape.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Will that alert them to what we've done here?

It may.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

That's reassuring. So what happens when they try to compress dimensions?

*Shrugs*
More than likely, it just won't work. I can try to simulate that, but it'll be useless when they realize it's not real.
Doing my laundry late because no room for it in my schedule. Put my clothes in the washer, no problem. Go back to my room for half an hour and come back down. One washing machine out of order, entire room covered in a thin layer of water. Spend a while waiting on maintenence to come and fix it. They get there, say the company has to fix it, and leave. Great. I go to dry my clothes anyways, but the card swiper machines are both also out of service. Even better. So now my clothes are soaking wet with no way to dry them. I decide I would carry all my soaking wet clothes to the next dorm hall over to use their laundry room. I do it, noticing quickly that the water makes the clothes 5 times heavier, and load my clothes in the dryer. Walk up to their card swiper... "Out of service." So I carried all those heavy, wet clothes over there for nothing, and now have to carry them back. I do so, take a break in the lobby when I get back because my arms are so darn tired, and decide to go check our laundry room one more time... Guess what? The swipers are working again. So here I am, exhausted, arms heavy, and my entire front side of my body soaked for no reason at 2 in the morning just trying to dry my clothes so I have something to where tomorrow and I don't have to rewash all my crap. Ugghhh

That's pretty tragic/irritating. It's a 10/10 story though.

Interesting. Will he find what he expects to find?

I sure do hope so.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

That seems useful, but why?

Because if he leaves his own dimension, he has to encounter another. This allows for that.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Huh. What is all this?

PaMDA is generating dimensions and superdimensions on the fly.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Okay. *goes through*

*We arrive at a forever shifting shell of a dimension*
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

What am I supposed to be looking for?

I'll show you.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

Sure.

*A tear opens in the wall*
Go for it.
