I would have turned it in on time if he didn't. But he's literally the chillest professor I've ever had, and the class itself is my favorite. The assignment was late because I had to give a presentation on Fortran in that very class, and he only takes off 2 points for a 1 day late assignment, so I figured it was better to get a 98 on a program and do extremely well on the presentation than to risk either unpreparedness and/or exhaustion. And before you say "start earlier," I was doing stats for 4 hours, which I also had to complete.
