Breaking the system surely isnt worse that the possible extinction of all existence, unless the two are synonymous.
It's pretty close. It would mean drowning in a sea of chaos.

...I want to try to deconstruct amaranthine, and reconstruct it into a way that we can infuse it into my sword.
As for that second thing... I'll do it for you. That or... we can find a way to break the system. Again. There's always a way to suceed if you look hard enough.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
I'm asking you to help me make a weapon that can help defeat the Amaranthine, or buy us enough time to figure out how to seal them permanently. That's all I'm giving you. Like I said before, You dont have to fight. I gave up on that. I just want you to contribute something. anything.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
you're going to die anyways, you idiot! I too have lost. I too have suffered. I don't get to make excuses. I don't get to give up. People depend on us. When my children died, I had nothing else to lose. The thing i had fought so damn hard for was ripped from me from the very woman who I had loved. I have felt betrayal on all fronts. But I can't throw the towel in. I don't get the option. Are you going to let your failures stop you? Or are you going to rise up from the ahses a better man than you were before?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
They put Painting Dye in critical condition, david. Plus, you've done things way above your paygrade before for nothing promised in return. I dont have anything I could offer you in return. I refuse to participate in the collection of terriotories beyond those involved with the EDB, so I have none of those to give you, and whatever materialistic needs you have you can fill on your own, you dont need my assistance for that. What could I possibly give you that'd be worth a damn, David?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
I think you fail to realize how big this actually is. Eventually, you'll be dragged in whether you want it or not. If you want to think about it negatively, you either die alongside your friends trying your best to save existence, or you buy some time, only to be eventually slaughtered as you say, regardless. Or, if you want to think about it positively, you'll save existence alongside your friends as you have before, allowing yourself an opportunity of peace once again.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
I shouldn't have to convince you to litterally help save existence, therein saving yourself. Thought that was kind of a given.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
David... at least help me with this one last thing. I dont expect you to fight, but you and I worked excellently together to make the endgame armor and the ARGUS weapons system. I don't trust anyone else but you on this one. I'll make it up to you.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
What are you suggesting?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>
...david. these arent just my problems. These are existences problems. Its only a matter of time before they come knocking on your door, too.
