The stench of grease and oil almost suffocated her and threw her focus off completely. At the time her eyes were focused on the young man perched on the couch, he seemed to be growing irritated by the minute. While her ears happen to catch the last bit of conversation of the two standing near the door. Sure hyper-senses sounded amazing; Eyes like a hawk, nose better than a hound, ears that could hear the quietest whispers, even delicious food tasted out of this world. Why wouldn't anyone be happy with such abilities? Well there was an awful downside to it all.

It took a lot out of her when all her senses started working at once, not to mention how sensitive she was to any kind of touch. She tried many times not to focus in on everything all at once, but it couldn't be helped. Having this ability let her view the world and its people in a beautiful way.

"Oh God" she whispered to herself before bringing a hand to her mouth. It was the sudden smell of fresh blood that made her head spin, but it wasn't the blood that bothered her. It was just all too much to handle at once.
Without another thought or word she darted for the bathroom, it was that puking feeling again. She was about half way there when she collided with a giant of a man who also seemed to be heading in the same direction. Damn, that impact definitely hurt. Dani was tall for a female but this guy was over 6 feet.

The nerves finally hit her as she took her first steps through the student lounge. For the first time in her life Dani was surrounded by mutants; Individuals with special genes just like her. The thought alone made her heart race, and made her entire body feel like she would drown in a pool of her own sweat, but of course it took only a few deep breaths to wash the sudden feelings away. Nervousness was never something that lasted long with Dani, she was always too relaxed and focused to work herself into a frenzy of emotions.

She gazed over the décor of the room, it wasn't something she was particularly used to; it was too elegant for her own taste but it was still tasteful with a comfortable feel to it. If she was going to be living here it had to feel comfortable and like home in some sort of way.
Scanning over the small groups of people as she casually passed them she couldn't help but a smile to herself. Dani liked to study people... it was almost like a creepy hobby, but with such enhanced senses she couldn't help herself. Her mother always told her the universe had given her a beautiful gift. In fact everyone in this room had some sort of blessing and Dani was going to make sure they all knew that.

Quietly she continued through the small groups, only stopping a few times to actually introduce herself. Her gaze fell on the corner of the room and her eyes lit up in an instant. She spotted a small potted aloe vera plant and it was enough to let her know she was really going to enjoy this place.
