Current Lots of ideas, voices in your head? You may not be schizo, just need to find a plot and start writing.

Movie Studios don't use AI to generate scripts because they're not copywritable. My writing is mine, not the world's to play with.

I've no idea what is meant by everyone being a "southern cowboy".

I like that the Amish gives their kids a chance to decide if they want to stay in their parent's religion.

"Badgers?" he said, sweating as he heard gun hammers being cocked unseen behind him. "We ain’t got no badgers. We don’t need no badgers. I don’t have to show you any stinkin' badgers!"

Bio

I am a seven-foot tall minecraft-playing hindu guru drag-queen alien.

Possessor of an Ancient Device™ Model 17. No, I don't know what it does. No, you can't play with it.

Pronouns: It. As in: "What is it? What does it want? Why is it here? Oh my god, it's got my... <insert random body part or object here>"

Likes: World Domination, Writing, Rpg, scifi/fantasy, anime, sketchup 3d models, and anime music videos.

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.

So a passive skill might be to always know what time it is, or where you've been?

And a combination skill might be something within arm's reach unlocks when you snap your fingers?

@CleverFox@Expendable

They chose to close the thread rather than continue with you two, haha.

I literally made a clear path for both of your characters to leave the ship and explore the moon but you both chose to confine them to separate parts of the ship. You both wrote some posts but none of them effected the story at all... one women is still walking around with a chip on her shoulder and the other is still thinking about food. You're supposed to be participating in a story, would you read a book or watch a show about a cynical security guard and a hungry pilot who don't interact with each other? You've practically made two static NPCs.

Here's a video about improv.

And this is how you chose to interact with others.

Darya glanced at a status panel on the wall next to her bunk, seeing everything was normal, then curled back up around the pillow, her hands balling up into fists. Damn whoever that was for getting her hopes up.

Her stomach gurgled, still unsettled by the fried chicken and working its way through the gloop she just drank and the aftertaste it left in her mouth, all the preservatives.

I miss real food, Darya sighs. Pizza, eggs over easy, pancakes with syrup, waffles, oranges, bananas, grilled cheese sandwiches, rubens, burgers, corn on the cob, potato salad, ham salad, sourdough, pumpernickel.... Ice cream!

"Stop it," she whispered. "You'll only make yourself hungry...!"

Her stomach growled.

The dreams were going to be bad tonight.

"Restraints," she ordered, holding out her arms and spreading her legs for the automatic cuffs, then pulling against them after they clicked shut. Hopefully that would keep her from walking in her sleep.

@ryku Hey, I like that idea! ^o^b Honestly, I never thought of that. I could add that to his backstory as well, that he is adventuring to find a cure for his vampirism. All the while, he keeps it a secret for fear of how others may react to him. Thanks a lot, man!

Yeah, it's never easy being around a guy who's only interested in his next meal.
Come to think of it, in the context of vampirism, it isn't necessarily a race but more of a status effect. Any race can become a vampire, so I could just have Corvin turned during the course of our adventure. Yeah, that would make sense rather than just have him start as one.

Thanks, but I'm just another player for this game, should we get more players. Still, it's important to know what a player is looking for in their character.

And when it comes to story, there's nothing quite as impactful as seeing someone living their ordinary life - even as a dungeon delver - only to have something happen to them that forces them to change. Readers can develop quite an empathy for the character that way. Look at Harry Potter - in the first book, we get a good glimpse of his life with the Dursleys, then the letter arrives.

Well, you know how it is, you wake up in the middle of the night, your neck hurts, you're low on blood, there's this terrible thirst, you've been nipped by the wildlife, a snake has curled up next to you, and a very industrious spider has spun a web in the crook of your arm.
@Expendable *headdesk* I just now read that.... That's what I get for jumping the gun.

We all have favorite characters we like to play. Of course, there's always the possibility your character may be jumped by a vampire who invaded a lower floor.
I thought the only playable race as listed in the OP is human?
Iona is a gamma class scout, a synthetic AI from a machine world with a special harden nanite body, based on an epsilon class mining unit or "Eater". It can take an organic sample of a life form, extract that being's DNA, and turn itself into an almost perfect copy of that organic life. It can even project a signal that can fool even the most sophisticated of medical scanners - but for whatever reason, it cannot fool dogs.

It can also transform itself to produce simple weapons, or like its mining ancestor it could just swallow up its target, consuming it.

For reasons only known to itself, it often takes the form of Anna, a young white-haired girl, approximately 13 years old, the first human it was sent to copy (but not consume), the daughter of a military base officer. At some point, Iona befriended the girl, acting as Anna's not-so imaginary friend - and defender.

After its Alpha was destroyed, it has been operating independently. Classification: Rogue.

Reminds me of Is it Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?

I like you start at Bronze.
