Baseline theory, the relays are damaged or manipulated to allow our unwanted visitor to enter...or one of the anomalous events happened and they took advantage. As much as I hate to admit, the latter seems more plausible, but I think this event was due to the messing of the few of the relays. A system I deemed as a massive point of failure and extremely vulnerable. In my honest opinion.
