I mean, it is nifty.

To be honest, it more of to get other scientists to stay out, not necessarily other outside people.
*looks around*
Welcome to the Augmented reality, or digital reality. Whatever fits your fancy.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

I don’t think I followed most of that. But I do get that we’re not actually back in that room for real.

That okay cause I’m gonna get us in.
*spams both enter keys at the same time and the room flashes red with a loud error sound for a few moments before everything is broken down and we are back into the cube like digital space*
<Snipped quote by Extra>

<Snipped quote by Host>

So what if we had never been to this room before and got here a different way? We’d just not be able to know how to proceed? Memory testing the highly dangerous secret machine room is weird.

Then you shouldn’t be here. Easy. Normally the system and personnel would notice and eject you from the program. It’s more of a stall rather than an actual security measure. And we aren’t in the machine room anymore, we’ve been digitize and in a more secure and safe environment. The alternate path to the Augmentation department.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

Access they intentionally gave to you?

Well, yes, but I don’t really use those.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

That makes a security mechanism?

Yup, especially when you try to go to a room you need to be. It part of it.
*walks over to the main panel that Vi typed the code in*
But I have a special access.
<Snipped quote by Extra>

It looks the same to me.

*points to a pole*
That wasn’t there before.
*points to where the computer screens were and there appears to be twice as many screens*
And there are too many screens. There was only four.
*looks around*
Party of the security here was finding what was wrong.
<Snipped quote by Audacious>

*Lifts my hand to touch one of the spheres, and my hand passes through it*
Huh.

<Snipped quote by Host>

*Opens my mouth to respond, but decides against it after visibly hesitating, instead just taking in the spectacle of the new room as we enter*

*the room loads into the space we were at before entering the weird office of Dynamo*
<Snipped quote by Host>

That's a big question, I suppose, yeah. But I guess I'm ready to go.

<Snipped quote by Extra>

Ohh. You know, I'm glad to hear this place had it on the table to have worked on augmenting the murder-daughter-bots that had the capacity to go scorched earth to be better than the original.
*Mumbles*
This place is so messed up...

Look, I don’t know who and why they made clones or if we even did that. It’s possible they aren’t our creation.
*as we walk through, we feel as if we became more whole, like if we lighter on our feet and fit*
Despite the size of our lab we don’t aim to create things that could harm us or destroy us. It’s more of a study or way to help others.
*it seems we are back to the machine but certain things are slightly off, like placement of parts and either more or less of an object that normally wasn’t there*
But if it does, it’s unintentional and or we try to figure out ways to prevent it or change it for the good.
<Snipped quote by Audacious>

Is Isis one of those?

<Snipped quote by Extra>

I'm prepared. Let's depart.

*nods and opens the door, entering*
<Snipped quote by Extra>

That is worth considering. But I'm telling you, she's described her speed to me before in casual conversation and it isn't as extreme as it could be.

The possibility of her clones having enhanced version of her speed is not out of the question. We have a section of the lab that focuses on augmentation of many kinds.
