Not writing for so long allowed so many tangent ideas to spring up. Got to establish a pecking order and tackle them one by one.

It's amazing how the right role play can renew one's desire to write.

Bio
Writer who rarely writes. Professional imaginer of unwritten stories and mental prisons. Forever trapped in the consequences of my choices. I prefer to think my own thoughts, which inevitably will offend you if you subscribe to nonsense.
I'm just here to mooch some likes for my "poetry" and support the Isekai Hell roleplaying group. (Discord)
It's too deep here The water is over my head As is the night It's late But I don't want to go home It feels like surrender Like giving up There is so much Left to do Wading through the night Sifting through my mind I have yet to unravel These words in my head This beat in the air It's so incredibly deep here When dawn comes I will lose everything All the answers fade All the ideas lose focus There is only here It can only happen now Quickly before the sun Ushers in tomorrow Unravel with me
All I can do Is apologize Again and again It doesn't enter My mind anymore How much have I forgotten? Did I forget you? Did I forget a place? That place Those things Some precious trinket I'll never hold again Some time I'll never Recollect once more It was gifted as My present time Once upon a time And now that's all It will ever be again A present I held A present I experienced And never again Out of memory and time Unceremoniously left Somewhere back there Between my yesterdays
Jareth | Human | Ryken Adventurer D | Sandman | Mazerunner | | Comrade | Champion of the West |
Ryken Adventurer D - character knows all the basics, has been on some adventures, and shows themselves to be competent. They are only missing experience and a specialty that sets them apart in the guild. They are considered a full fledged member and can be called upon for most standard missions even if just as a supporting role. Sandman - character's body is made of sand. Is likely to leave sand behind wherever they go. Has an easier time staying together in moist environments and less windy days. Even when solid, can give off the impression they may blow away at any moment. Maze Runner - character has ran for their life in a confusing and trying place and situation. Character is more likely to perform better in confusing settings in the future where passive senses are not sufficient for getting through something under pressure. Increases ability to think on ones feet and improvise. More prone to finding themselves in similar difficult situations. Comrade - character has proved themselves to be a good ally and approachable. Character will have easier time convincing others to team up with their cause or to allow her to join theirs. More likely to join a cause that isn't worth joining too, however. Champion of The West- Character has been named a Champion of the Eastern Empire, imbued the strength of the earth. Champions are fierce defenders of the Eastern Empire, called upon in times of need to fight for the survival and honor of their people. Though not as rare as Heroes, Champions hold great respect and admiration among their kin, and their strength, that of a crashing wave, is a beacon of hope in times of conflict. - Champions are bound by duty to protect the Eastern Empire, especially when their elemental strength is needed in battle. They are drawn to conflicts where their powers are most potent and are known for their fierce resilience and ability to turn the tide of battle. While not invincible, a Champion's fall is a grave loss for the Eastern Empire, for their strength weakens with their absence. - Champions have limited sway over fate, but when they fight for their people, their presence is enough to inspire courage and unity in those around them. - The Eastern Empire honors their Champions, granting them freedom to come and go, and providing for them in times of peace. In turn, the Champions are expected to rise whenever their people call, answering the summons of battle with the fire that burns within them
The bolt passed through Jareth as planned, but the explosion afterward was an unaccounted for variable. As the sandman's body was beginning to reform, the concussive blast scattered him once more.

Particles of Jareth and Fleet filled the nigh bottomless chasm they were still plummeting through. Jareth's awareness was in all of them...and none.

The turbulent air and debris made it impossible for a body to fully form. The particles began collecting together in small, formless piles wherever they happen to gather.

I'm...falling...I think...Why does this feel so familiar...?

A flash of blue fills the chasm but all is dark for Jareth. The descent slows for all, but he would not be aware.

I...wanted to fall...but...why did I want that...?

Somewhere, an eye partially formed. Though it observed the same dimly lit shaft, Jareth observed another place far deeper and darker than even here. A pit that all fall into eventually where there is nothing but darkness and at its bottom: a gaping maw.

I tread the tired stones. There is nothing else here. The elements are scattered. Only Earth remains. He And she: Air caresses him. They belong. They have each other. I am just passing through. I follow the Voice. It whispers on the wind. It laments. It wails and cries. The stones bear witness. The wind carries its message. I alone am left to receive it. I alone can interpet its meaning. I follow the Voice. Until it can reveal its meaning.

Fleet finished manifesting the armor just in time. Whether Jareth's yelling had attracted it, or it was helplessly sent his way by the strange forces of the space, a large bug careened into him. Jareth had time to do little else but instinctively raise his hands in front of him in an impromptu defense. The bug would collide with him, knocking him free of the wall he had perched on, as its appendages lashed out at its perceived catch.
To Jareth's surprise, without even mounting a proper defense, he found that he barely felt the impact of the bug's strikes. Furthermore, the limbs that struck him catastrophically imploded upon contacting him, crumpling around his form or completely severing from the bug in the process. As Jareth drifted away from the bug, who was now short a few functional limbs, his bewildered stare shifted between his blackened arms and the damaged bug.
It was Michael's answer to his call that shook him from his self-reflection. The azure fellow's voice was coming from below. What does Jareth sense? In open air??
"I sense that we're falling, my friend!" Jareth calls back as a burst of light catches his eye. "...And that we're not alone!" He added as streams of light burst from somewhere overhead, nailing the large bug hurtling down with everything else. This would have been good if not for the subsequent streams of light now swirling and richocheting around the space. Having been knocked away by the bug, Jareth was out in the open and mostly exposed. As the bolt of light was about to connect, Jareth's body disintegrated in a cloud of particulate before reassembling.
Disperse [Sandman title; Change State F] - F Grade - Jareth disperses his body temporarily into a cloud of sand.
Assuming he is able, Jareth would try to sway himself out of danger of the oncoming spires. If Michael was in view, Jareth would try and steer himself over to him if it was safe to do so.

One minute Jareth had been standing with Michael in the ruins of an Otenzian town. The next the ground fell out from under him and he was falling. Daylight was replaced by the pale glow of strange gems embedded in a seemingly unending pitfall. Though the glow allowed sight, Jareth felt like he was blind all the same with no ground beneath his feet.
Instinctively, he began looking around for Michael, who had been only a few feet from him a moment ago. The air around him was littered with rubble and assorted parts and pieces of the surface world. It quickly became apparent that inanimate materials weren't the only thing that followed them down below: scritching, crawling, hissing pests made their presence known through frantic flailing strikes at anything within reach.
Seeing them steady themselves on large pieces of debris was the only worthwhile contribution they offered Jareth, who sought to do the same. Scanning his vicinity, there was a portion of wall somewhat close by that he decided to navigate towards. He quickly found that air was not as easy to "swim" through as water, however, as his flailing was mostly unproductive in moving him in the desired direction.
Suddenly, the air fluxuated oddly and he found himself pushed somewhat closer to his objective. Though this was initially seen as a favorable happenstance, that delusion quickly left as something very big and very heavy could be heard smashing through the air overhead. When Jareth finally managed to reach the wall, he looked up to behold an elite bug menacing the air overhead.
"Michael?!" Jareth called hopefully into the whistling air of the tunnel. As the bugs drew closer, Jareth spoke to his companion, "Fleet activate the Particle Armor." A fountain of black material blossomed from Jareth's shoulder as the peculiar medium of the fabriken infused his own sand to form a shell around his form not too different from the shells of the bugs.
Actions: 1) move to large debris, 2) scan for michael, 3) activate armor

Gasoline is a nice heavy track. I could see it being used in an AMV or action sequence in a show/movie. It lacked a certain vague something that would make me obsessed with it, however, it would be nice as what I would call "radio ambience". IF I had a radio or playlist shuffled and this song came on, I'd probably bop along with it.
It rained again. Torrential downpour. I cannot stop the rain. I don't try anymore. But I hate wet feet. All these puddles Soaking my soles. Why don't you dry up? These placid pitfalls. These polished shallows. Hiding that which exists Beneath glassy facades. Reflections pretend That they are not backwards. That they don't lie. And that is why I tolerate the rain But I hate these puddles. Silver faced liars.
They hunger See how they stare Predatory eyes so keen Scanning Searching Where is it? They know it must be there What is it? Something Anything A truth A lie A distraction They fantasize about it The occupied mind Busy in another's company Busy in obsession Mindlessly busy A constant din White noise in the mind A container that is full No place for emptiness No time for quiet Don't even speak it! Nightmarish solitude Terrifying clarity For in that space is nothing Save for my thoughts And that which remembers All my wrongs All my shame All my pain Laid bare in that place of silence Cover it up Turn up the volume Click another video Play another game Bury me in work so that there is no time No place for silence
