Brutrumukk: Jub's my... err..
Jub: I'm his carer.
Brutrumukk: That's right. He cares so I don't have to.
Jub the Peculiar

"Ah you worry too much," Brutrumukk said dismissively.

Yeah, that was about the response Jub had expected. At least Brutrumukk was back to his old 'devil-may-care' self again, which, despite the annoyance it causes, it help Jub to feel more at ease despite their current situation. "How do you feel?" he asked the bugbear after he had consumed some of the alcohol, ready to spring into action should he could badly affected.
On an 18 save, Brutrumukk doesn't pass out, but he is definitely drunk. How drunk is he? He's drunk on the level of the Pink Elephants scene from Disney's Dumbo (original animated movie).

Oh shit, things gonna get trippy!
Brut: You worry too much.
Jub: We're literally stealing from the woman who was planning on eating us for dinner. If anything, I'm too chill right now.
Jub the Peculiar

"I reckon the 'ag wouldn't miss a barrel or two, eh?"

Jub frowned. "I don't know if we should be messing with anything that belongs to her, personally," he said. "For all we know, this could be some weird fairy booze that is toxic to mortals. Or turns us into frogs or..." He shrugged. "Whatever hags do to people."
Jub the Peculiar

Jub considered Brutrumukk's words. He did have a point. "Fair enough," he said after a moment. "Though I would like to point out that we don't exactly know what's waiting for us outside either." He imagined hags lived in some pretty scary places, and given that they had no idea where their boat was, he wasn't entirely sure how they were going to get out of here.
It's funny that way back when I first wrote Jub's CS I pointed out he was a bit of coward who would run the moment things got really tough. He hasn't really gotten the opportunity to show it, and I'm still trying to figure out whether that's character developement, whether being around Brutrumukk just makes him feel less afraid, or whether because they're stuck in the Feywild so there isn't really a 'safe' place to run and hide.
Jub the Peculiar

"Huh?" Jub seemed genuinely surprised when Brutrumukk started attempting to make his way out of the house. "Wait, so we're just leaving now?" He didn't sound dissaproving, just confused. Normally he would be all for bailing and getting out of a bad situation, but this was very much not the behaviour he expected from Brutrumukk.
Garrock glances over at the trickster. "Her name is Sunglow," he says eventually. "She's a Semscale elder." He turns his head back to the path in front of him before adding quietly, and somewhat solemnly, "Though probably not for much longer."

Kyte shrugs and continues following the rest of the group on foot as they push on through this new, darker, thornier part of the jungle.

The voice doesn't speak to Fellwing again. In fact, almost the moment Stargaze asked Fellwing to tell them about it, it fell eerily silent, and the Seer senses a feeling of deep irritation in that silence, like someone who has been interrupted.

After pressing on for a good few minutes, the seemingly endless tangles of vines and the lack of good lighting in the area beginning to make continuing forward near impossible as Fellwing is unable to spot the three entangled dragons she saw within her vision. In fact, there doesn't seem to be any signs of life besides their own breathing and footfalls. What will the group do now?
Will try and get a post up either today or tomorrow. Sorry for the wait, everyone ^^;
