I know I said it would take a while for the next post, but as it stands it's very unlikely I'll have something up before New Year's Day. I got busier than expected these last couple of weeks, and sitting down to write a longer post has been tricky because my attention span seems to be all over the place right now.

Apologies for the delay, I'll have something up next month. I wish you all happy holidays and good new year, and I look forward to more dragon shenanigans in 2024!
Today I have learned that mind flayer gnomes exist. I cannot for the life of me decide whether they are unsettling or adorable.

Careful, you'll give Haruki more ideas on how she can ruin Brutrumukk's day over in our Witchlight campaign.
Brutrumukk too strong, please nerf.
Don't worry about the brazier. It isn't consumed by the spell and it doesn't have a required value, so you can replace that with your wand.

Oh yeah, that makes sense...

... though that does mean that Jub is now saddled with the idea that he's might to have a kid one day, and that's going to haunt him for while.
... so that's a lot to unpack right there.

Duskmallow Pie <--> Your skin becomes hot pink in direct sun light.

Wow, the Feywild really has it out for Brutrumukk's dignity today, don't they? First they turn him into a gnome, now they tell him his skin is going to turn pink in direct sunlight. On top of that, the only clothes they have for him are a jester costume. Guy can't catch a break.

Mug of Bumblebeer <--> Even the smallest explosion looks like a nuclear detonation to you.

Considering what we just learned about darklings, that's... concerning.

Jester Costume <--> Your blood is now alabaster white.

The most terrifying thing about this is that it made me realise I don't actually know what colour goblin blood normally is. I've been assuming it's red, but now I think about it, maybe it isn't.

Herbs <--> The color of your eyes.

I'm curious about what this actually means. Does this mean his eyes are going to turn monochrome? Or is he going to lose his irises entirely?

Incense <--> On a full moon you think and act like you have transformed into a lycanthrope but in fact don’t.

This sounds absolutely hilarious actually, I'm on board.

Charcoal <--> You lose your most treasured memory.

*sighs* Feywild, why you like this?

Brass Brazier <--> Your firstborn shall carve out a great destiny but will be taken from you at the moment of its birth, either through the fey arriving and taking it or its mortal body arriving as a still birth and it's soul being born into the fey wild.

Jub is staring at these two darklings right now. He was never planning on having kids. He is so fucking confused.
imagine: Jub has to literally give over one of his kidneys in order to get the stuff for his ritual, but then it doesn't work because it technically wasn't worth 10gp.

That's a very Feywild logic thing, I can imagine them pulling some shit like that.
That they don't

Makes you wonder their casters do when the magic needs a component of a certain gold value though.

... that is a good point, I did not think of that.
They don’t use gold coins here. ;)

...

Haruki pls.
I sense a oof coming up soon.

I am ready.
Wow, the Feywild is no joke, ya'll. You approach a shopkeeper, ask if they have anything in stock, and they pull out and spin a whole roulette wheel of how much they're going to ruin your day.

The fey don't mess around. Even shopping isn't safe here.
