Jub the Peculiar

Jub blinked in surprise at Brutrumukk's response. He had not expected that. "Oh... kay," he said after a long pause. "If you're... sure." He quickly packed the remaining things in his bag, being extra careful with the jar that contained the nest, before hurrying after the barbarian.
Edited my post.
Might add something to the end of my post then, unless Rush has something.
Jub the Peculiar

Jub gave a loud sigh as the fish swam away. Well, at least they hadn't come out of this situation completely empty-handed... though he was probably going to have to apologize ten-times over to Eighteyes once they were reunited for keeping her waiting so long. Then again, maybe she was enjoying the reprieve in... wherever familiars went when they weren't in a physical form.

He started inspecting the things he had retrieved from the fish's stomach. He was a little hesitant to mess with the nest, so he turned his attention to the notebook. The pages appeared empty at first, but he had a feeling due to just how wacky the Feywild had proven itself to be that there was more to it than initially appeared. He began turning the book over in his claws, trying to figure out a way to unravel its secrets.

What he uncovered was perhaps a little underwhelming. It seemed to be the journal of some poor sailor who, Jub could only assume, ended up also being swallowed by the fish at some point. Well, it was a good thing neither of them had attempted to go after the herbs themselves then, as they would have likely met the same fate. Jub placed the book in his bag, likely to go over it at some later point.

"There are two pieces of gold here," Jub said, turning to Brutrumukk. He didn't seem to register the gnome's change in demeanor. "We could split or you could have both of them instead. Considering you were the one who actually paid for that stuff, I'm content with you having the money."
ALSO I just realised: now that Brutrumukk has acquired new clothes, I can finally get round to drawing a new reference picture for him.

... I didn't imagine his new clothes would be a jester costume, but you know, life works in mysterious ways.

You have nothing to apologize for. I'm the one at fault here. It was my plan back in chapter one that got your familiar killed in the first place. And now, as a result of my hasty actions, an opportunity to restore your familiar has been lost. Both of these are things I very much regret. :(

I mean, tbf, I didn't have to use Eighteyes back in Chapter 1 to cause distraction. That was my decision, 'cause I thought that was a cool idea... and I didn't check what her HP was first.
Happy new year!
The Rest of the Party: We're just gonna stop by the shop to pick something up.
Jub: Oh we can't come with you.
Brutrumukk: We're not welcome there anymore
The Rest of the Party: Why not?
Jub:
Brutrumukk:
The Rest of the Party: Guys
Jub & Brutrumukk: *slowly crab walk away*
The Rest of the Party: Guys where are you going
She did not.

Jub and Brutrumukk were off to the side and headed off to go get drunk while the rest of the party spoke to them. ^_^

Well, that does mean the rest of the party can still shop there.
The Party: Wait...Have we met before?
Charm: Indeed we have,
The Party: ....

I mean I do remember that.

Tbf, I don't know if she met Jub and Brutrumukk along with them? And if she did, Brutrumukk looked different.
