Was very tempted to have Flicker sarcastically say to Aura "You, a troublesome kid? No, would never have believed it" but decided they probably wouldn't do that... at least not right now.
Also would have been very hypocritical of them to do so.
Flicker had been waiting to see what their party would say or do before doing anything, when a patron from one of the other tables - another orc, interestingly enough - stood up at confronted the boy. The flames forming around Flicker's head died down as their hair returned to normal, their anger Gorgash temporarily forgotten as they were faced with a more immediate problem. "Okay, we are not doing this," they muttered. They held up their hand towards the new orc as if motioning them to halt. "Can you not start anything, please? This is ridiculous and not worth having an actual fight over."
Or play a clown in my up and coming Planescape campaign that I'm going to be launching soon. The campaign itself has nothing to do with clowns, you can just be a clown in the Planes. Nothing will go wrong, I swear.
Jub: So while we were separated from you, I may have burnt a bridge. Aurora: Literally or figuratively? Jub: Well- Jub: ... Jub: ... huh. Jub: Well, kind of both, actually.
"We've got a whole musical number planned for guests!"
"Bit busy right now!" Jub called back to the severed heads as he started running across the bridge. Maybe it was the fact they were being chased or just that he had seen so much with the last few days that his ability to be surprised had slowly been eroded, but he wasn't even slightly alarmed by the gruesome sight or even that the heads were able to address him right now. If anything, it just motivated him to run a bit faster.
"Hey you!" Jub called to the mysterious figure in the middle of the bridge, gesturing wildly with an arm for them to get out of the way. "Sorry to bother you, but you really don't want to be on this bridge right now!" As he said this, something occurred to him. "In fact, maybe NOBODY should be on this bridge right now!" He turned slightly, his arcane focus still clutched in his hand as he pointed it towards the end of the bridge they had just come from. "After all, it looks like a real... fire hazard!" With those last two words, Jub sent a fire bolt flying, aiming for the part of the bridge between them and heir pursuers, hoping to set it alight and stop the frogs in their tracks.
... I don't know if I need to roll to hit the bridge.
