Current People are torn apart in the status bar ? Not me. I am heavier than iron, splitting me apart will release dangerous levels of energy.

I got money, I'll just buy the whole prison including all inmates from the state, but not before placing a bet on the financial markets that crime rate will massively increase very soon and suddenly.

Colleagues told me I'd look like a viking. I'm not sure whether that's a compliment, a warning, something derogative or all of these things.

I'd change the name from 'President' to 'Presidentist' to troll the nation. If a press conference is too noisy, I let a piece of chalk screech on an old whiteboard in front of the microphone.

Why doesn't the US government order the invasion of their own country, North America got plenty of natural resources, too! *looks at ICE and national guard activities* Oh wait, they already are...

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

Name: Yngvarr Agmundsson

Age: 31

Gender Male

Title/Rank/Occupation:
He bears neither title nor rank and he is not actively promoting the fact that he is more than an ordinary blacksmith. Aside from that, recent events have made him workless.

Image/Appearance

Skills/Professions:
  • Above average - Yngvarr is tremendously strong, but only negligibly skilled at fighting. Crafting weapons for customers doesn't mean that you have to use them themselves on a daily basis. However he can use his frame and strength to wrestle enemies down who don't have weapons.
  • High level - Experienced blacksmith capable of smelting his own metals and creating magic runes. This requires a larger amount of his own blood and will weaken him for a considerable amount of time.
  • Unusual amount of knowledge about magic in general.
  • Devourer of feasts and drinking sprees.

Personality/(Dis)likes/hobbies/etc.:
He has a tendency to be on the sceptical side and rarely really laughs if you don't count the times while he's drunk. This happens rather often as he chronically overeats and drinks a lot. Making a conversation with him can sometimes be a bit of a challenge as he is very blunt, sometimes even nasty. On the other side, he is anxious to say anything that could make other people think that he is more skilled or of a higher rank than he actually is, however he doesn't have any such hesitations when it comes to making people underestimate him. Yngvarr knows his abilities on the battlefield are very limited and it makes him envious, though he would never admit it.
He is not only a blacksmith, but also does not believe in the stories about the era of magic being gone for good. For him it's a myth created to hide a huge gap of knowledge and his own success on that field perfectly confirms that opinion - at least in his mind.

Biography:
Yngvarr was born in Alviora. His father, Agmundr, ran a small smithy in the coastal village of Hragar, mainly producing and maintaining equipment like nails, rivets and arrowheads as all of this was required by the local fishermen and hunters. He never relied on other smelters but instead refined the strong Skagastrond ores himself, passing this knowledge to his son as well, but also forcing him to stick to his business. Yngvarr wasn't exactly happy with that, so when his father found his natural death, he was free to do what he wanted, and that was starting to forge true weapons and armor. Which blacksmith doesn't want to reach the supreme discipline ? Some day, a customer confronted him with something he had never seen before: A sword enhanced by a rune, a rune that actually worked. His curious nature and pride just couldn't stand not being able to do anything about it, so he took the funds he got and travelled to Skagastrond himself where it is more likely to find any knowledge about this topic - but it was nothing that could be learned within a few days or weeks. His venture lasted longer and longer until he took permanent residence in the northern land. He had talent and a certain intuition, so he became successful. But the fact that only few people know about real runes and even fewer can afford them ensured that magic always remained a small part of his daily business - the vast majority of things he crafted was still entirely ordinary. The emphasis here has to be put on the past tense - the small village he lived in has been raided. He has lost his shop and a lot of his former posessions. At this moment, Yngvarr is travelling farther north, hoping to be able to rebuild his existence in Bellara.

Equipment:
  • One of the advantages of being a blacksmith is that you can skip a lot of the profits other people make along the supply chain, so he is in posession of a high quality custom set of armor for his body: Chainmail for legs, arms and torso and a helmet.
  • A round shield reinforced with richly ornated metal, but there is a deliberate dent in it. A hidden rune dramatically increases its durability. The thing was originally created by him in order to slyly give one of his blacksmith colleagues something to think about. It took the competitor a lot of time and a lot of wear on his tools to find out that this thing is kinda... unrepairable. Thrashing onto it can be considered harmful for one's own weapons, especially swords.
  • Small knife, definitely hand-crafted and ornated with a small amout of noble metals.
  • food, water and ordinary clothing sufficient for a prolonged journey
  • horse

I think that's correct.

"Wow." Madawc said appreciatively. Xavier appeared to be a much better fighter than expected, likely even better than himself, at least in some aspects. The demon-man lowered his warhammer and left his stance, but looked around carefully to see if there was anything left that wasn't yet entirely dead.

The cave had turned into a bloody mess, but: The job was done! The pudgy man turned around slowly, having to be cautious not to slip on the floor where the always dripping water had already started to wash away the blood. There were numerous smaller and larger bodies he had to make his way around, too.

When the contaminated area was behind him, he turned around, looking at the mute warrior: "Come ? We're done here. Let's collect the bounty."
*shyly nudges @Jin Of Manas arm about some PM-ed questions*
@Eviledd1984

Madawc could see Xavier being thrown around like a big toy. Not exactly reassuring - at least he seemed to be not only alive, but still combat-ready. As the mute was dealing with the children, it appeared to be his turn to take care of the big beast itself. Surprisingly, he didn't start another attempt with his hammer. Instead, he just stood there, nailing the beast with his eyes, and suddenly there was some sort of wave detaching from his body and rapidly moving towards the creature. It wasn't fire, but it felt almost as hot.

This did have a very noticeable effect. The beast backed off and even seemed attempting to protect its eyes with its... whatever one would call this, screaming. Madawc was sweating now. That thing he just had done did take its toll and he really hoped that he would not have to repeat it several times. He charged at it, hoping to make a crushing blow while the enemy was still recovering.
Speaking of someone who was actually present and could hear one's words in third person was impolite, and resorting to the word 'thing' as a designation for that very someone was straightforwardly rude. He had already demonstrated being sentient and communicative, even if it had just been a single word! And since that guy was, for some mysterious conincidence that just added itself to the heap of things yet to be investigated, speaking the same language, the gargoyle had some reason to assume that this rather dark-skinned man should have some sort of apprehension for this.

On the other hand, Vaughtar wasn't the one to become infuriated just because of this. He was flabbergasted, but the slow pace he lifted himself off the crate and started walking around the table towards Vata indicated that he wasn't angry. However he left another trail of small scratches behind him as he forgot about his claws again. This just had not been an issue on Munimis' dirt roads and wilderness. And there was so much drag induced by his folded wings that a noticable, short-lived breeze filled one half of the room.

He didn't come closer to the other man that about two yards and squatted down, taking two or three seconds to examine his face before speaking.
"Please feel free to touch me. I'm breathing, talking, am emitting body warmth and I even eat. What makes you think I'm a 'thing' ?"
Want me to post first or will someone else explain things to Vata ?
@Eviledd1984

God this was ugly, but nothing he had not been seen before. Battle was always this way, being all of the participants entirely human or not. Madawc evaded the stalactite, but in doing so he hit the cavern floor really hard. With pain to his right shoulder, the demon-man heaved himself up again while the beast was recovering from the momentum it had invested into its thrust. When it returned, seemingly even more enraged than before, he achieved a hit to what appeared to be its chest, but it only sent blood flying and caused a cracking sound. The creature was still very much alive and Madawc was backing off a bit towards Xavier, hoping that he had the other pests under control.
@Eviledd1984
Madawc let out a curse. He had not expected that. They were outnumbered here, so a difference in quality had to do it. He hoped that this difference actually existed, not knowing if Xavier was actually good as a fighter or if he was just good at looking impressive.

He didn't give any commands - it was pretty clear that they both had to care about the small stuff so to speak first. The first 'child' found its end with the cavern's floor rumbling and spitting small fragments of stone when the man's hammer impacted it. Madawc was one hell of a strong person, but would he be able to keep that up long enough ?

@EurmalEye
"I wish the police had come and taken away the screwballs of the lab I was born in..." Harald commented sullenly. It wasn't directed at Alex, it was just what happened pretty much every time the splice had to think about the way he had been born and grown up. Of course, from the standpoint of someone already living he would never want his birth to be undone, but if someone had been able to ask him before it had happened... That was a different story.

Suddenly, his left paw plunged into the water. When it came back up, a small and incautious fish was pinned between the tips of his claws. The splice devoured it with barely any chewing at all. "Delicious... erm... sorry, couldn't resist." There was a small gap as he ran out of words. Was there anything he would like to ask ? "I think my questions will come once I know this place a little better. Get ready to be bombarded." Harald grinned.

"Is this your tortoise ?" he asked, pointing at Rush. "Or... well... it can just be yours because you let it rest on your clothes, right ? Feast upon my stupidity!"
