Bael dies. We all know it's going to happen. Mattily win if it's the last thing that happens ever.

Carmen will have a thing or two to say about that.

1000th post. KILLINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

(Thanks Theo!)
Epic Collab Post of Power (Super Ultra Hyper Arcade Remix) (feat. Ryuu and Carmen) (with special guest Kathy "No Scope" Argall and Sanic (Drive-In))

Summary: Ryuu has a crisis. Carmen learns something.

Oh my God. Ryuu had stiffened into a thinking statue.

Carmen looked down at her number (she hadn't even checked it before) and was shocked and mildly amused to find that her number was one of the ones called. Then she instantly became confused.

"Um, Kathy," she spoke up, probably revealing her number to everyone else in the process. "What exactly is...'blowing a...raspberry'? That wasn't covered in the books, you see." She shrugged, innocently.

Kathy looked around to see who the number she had called out were, and found that she didn't have to search for very long. Just a few seats away from and right within sight, she noticed Carmen's change in expression. 'Carmen..? Which number is she? The one blowing the raspberry or the one that has to hold her hand out for one?

Carmen's question surprised her. She would have thought that everyone had known at it was. "It's... Um..." She looked around, as if expecting the answer to come to her from her nearby surroundings. Then, as if remembering something, her face lit up brightly as she realized there was a perfect way to describe it to Carmen. "Blowing a raspberry is like... Basically, you put your lips against someone's skin and 'buzz' against it. Like when you're blowing a trumpet."

Sweet Jesus of Mother Mary. Ryuu did not move at all.

Carmen listened to Kathy's explanation, sort of not understanding but then immediately understanding when the trumpet comparison was brought up.

She stood up.

"So...who's the lucky 19?" she asked with a mischievous grin...and, obviously, a flick of the hair.

Ryuu could only think to himself,

First, there was nothing.

But then, there were raspberries.

And melons.

The otaku gulped, staring at his glove with extreme intensity. No, he was not that interested in his lonely, stupid-a-s glove- he had just been thrown into a situation he did not expect at all. Blowing raspberries? What was that? Was that the thing where people went "huehuehue" and blew into the air like geese?

Of course not.

The sunglasses-wearing student glanced throughout the table, nervous about what to do.

He stood up reluctantly, not ready to lose his hand's pureness.

Carmen's head whipped around...slowly.

Beholding the newly stood otaku, Carmen smiled. "Oh, how nice," she remarked simply, and walked over.

Oh Jesus.

She walked up to Ryuu and tilted her head at him, taking his bare hand and holding it up like it was a priceless gem or something.

"I'm terribly sorry about this, Ryuu," she said, looking as not sorry about this as it was possible to be. "But rules are rules, you know."

With that, she put his hand to her lips and loudly and unceremoniously did the deed. No shame.

Before she walked back to her seat , she said simply, "Also, I really am grateful that you didn't kill me earlier in the race. It was really quite nice of you."

And with that, she whipped her head (and hair) around with that same smile and walked back to her seat.

What was this feeling?

It was the feeling of euphoria. Ryuu could sense himself standing before untreaded lands filled with fresh fruits. From melons to grapes, from strawberries to raspberries. Mother Nature blessed him with the ability to appreciate so many of these things. Something felt off, yet so right. It was as if-

As if he was about to nosebleed.

Oh, godda-

The instant moment Carmen flipped her hair, Ryuu dramatically swung his head's direction toward the ceiling, unceremoniously covering his gloved hand over his nose. The otaku froze before falling stiffly on the bar floor- Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone style.

Ryuu covered his face with both of his hands at this point, rolling around as he crashed into random walls with an intense speed. That trumpet-blowing woman of a cunning talent had just made him fall over like a little girl. It felt as if he was b-tchslapped so hard in the face, his intestines had flew into his stomach.

He lay still on the ground for a while before getting back up. His entire glove reddened by his nose's profuse bleeding, Ryuu sat back at the table as if nothing happened.

In other words, it looked like as if everything happened. The otaku looked down at the table, avoiding every single gaze that would be sent over to him, as he thought to himself,

.....................

...And due to being able to think of nothing, the otaku simply let out a quiet "Tsk," his mind in a completely dazed state.

Carmen sat down next to Lily and looked back over at Ryuu to see the aftermath...and what an aftermath it was.

She blinked.

Turning to Lily, she simply said "That's a new one." and left it at that.
Carmen

Carmen couldn't help but sigh and smile and Lily's little response expression. She'd just have to go with the flow - she was good at that anyway. Sitting back and waiting for the game to unfold, she watched with apprehension as Mercy announced her "king"ship. Upon hearing the command and ensuring that she wasn't number 7, her mood altogether improved due to the high probability of embarrassment. To her delight, Kathy reluctantly announced that she was number 7. Carmen had a wide smile filled with schadenfreude as Kathy eventually mustered up the courage to gesture towards Crash. She was doing a remarkable job of preventing herself from laughing from joy, but her face still showed all. She was now thoroughly enjoying herself, and it had only been one round.

"Oh, this is a wonderful game," she announced to nobody in particular (except, perhaps, Lily) with a flip of her hair.
Carmen

Carmen listened intently as Maria started explaining what was going on. One eyebrow quickly shot up in confusion and a sprinkling of disbelief as Maria explained a...game? She sat there processing the information until suddenly she had picked up a paper with a number on it. She looked over at Lily, who had seemed to get along well enough with meeting Crash and was now staring at her paper, assumingly in a similar state of confusion as Carmen.

Carmen looked at Lily with a look on her face that said exactly the following (without making a sound):

Wait. Maria went to the trouble of making us go to the trouble of interrupting our wonderful fashion adventure in a manner that seemed fairly urgent entirely to bring us here to play...a GAME?!

Her left eye twitched when the facial expression reached that part.

Also...what on Earth is this?

At that point she absentmindedly held up her piece of paper, conveniently (but unintentionally) keeping the number hidden from Lily's or anyone else's view.

I'm confused again...and tentatively aggravated. Isn't this kind of authoritative and supernatural abuse illegal? I demand a lawyer.

To this day, a more complicated facial expression has never occurred.

Carmen happily accepted Lily's arm intertwined with hers, variously letting Lily lead and leading herself. She was having a wonderful time, and could tell that Lily was too. They were off to a great start. Now...for that impression thing.

She smiled back at Lily's question "What's going on? Do you know?"

"Shall we find out?" she answered, leading Lily towards Maria where everyone else seemed to be gathering. Maria was the principal, after all. And, she called the meeting...after all. Strolling up to the area with Lily in hand, she stopped and looked around at everyone, grinning, before taking an empty spot next to - who else? - Crash, gesturing to Lily to sit next to her with a smile. Noticing Kathy next to him (predictably), she turned her head and spoke, making sure to lean back to keep Lily "in frame".

"Well, if it isn't my two favorite musketeers," she said with a playful smile. "What have you two been up to, eh?" she asked as she nudged Crash's arm. "Don't worry, it's nothing I need to know." With a wink and a whipping back of her head and thus hair, she concluded her tease. "Anyway, have you two met Lily? You're really missing out if you haven't. She's wonderful," she said, looking back over at Lily with a smile. She stood up and sat on the other side of Lily, gently nudging her to sit closer to Crash and Kathy.

With the expansion of Lily's social horizons assured, Carmen turned to face the principal in front of her. She'd never really talked to Maria before, but that didn't deterred her.

"Pardon me, Mrs. Cross," she said, more formally than usual. "Would you mind explaining what's going on to me briefly? My accomplice and I [gesturing to Lily] arrived a little late, you see. But fashionably late, of course," she said, flaunting her dress a little. "Surely you understand."
