Yeah...my school's Internet system is abysmally bad. The tech support is actually the best working feature of the system. The school's websites are extraordinarily user-unfriendly and unreliable.

Update: the crazy weekend is mostly over, but I won't have Internet on my laptop (typing this from my phone) until at the earliest later today, so still no IC posting from me for a while.

Lol, it's actually not too awful. I'm sorta used to it. Give me a bunch of CDs I can party to from the driver's seat and I can drive for days.

Speaking of updates and that. I'm mostly moved in to my apartment now and the crazy weekend is for the most part over. However, while I can get Internet from my phone (which is how I'm typing this), I won't be able to get Internet on my laptop until the school tech support comes and sets it up later today. It's not that I'm inept and need their help, it's that they actually disable the Internet until you get them to do it. Even the Ethernet cable doesn't help.

So, the conclusion is I won't be able to post IC or get on the pad until at the earliest later today.

Carmen looked at Matt, who apparently could fly but not speak simultaneously. Before she could respond, Lily threw out a not at all veiled flattering compliment. "Oh, stop it, you're too kind," she said with a flash of her wings and head movement that could be described only as the most overdramatic action a bird has ever done - you could clearly tell the bird was Carmen. She tried to nudge Lily but to (humorously) no avail due to her gaseous state. She had to wonder what that felt like, though.

Turning to Matt, she replied "I could ask you the same thing" with a smirk to the decidedly normal-looking teen.

"I'm a skylark," she explained to both of them, fluttering her wings. "Not just a siren...that would be far too ordinary, you know." Turning to focus on Matt again, she added, [b]"So what are you, then?[/i]

~11 hours of driving later, and I'm posted up an hour from campus for the night. Time to attempt to get a post up for Carmen while I have the time.

Just a heads up: this coming weekend (Thursday-Sunday) I'm road tripping to and moving in to college, so it's unlikely I'll be able to get a post in during that time. Luckily I don't think any character will be held up by Miyoshi.

The weekend of reckoning is fast approaching.

Friday I'll be getting up at an ungodly hour and then driving 11 hours, stopping at a hotel. It's unlikely I'll be able to make any posts then. Saturday and Sunday I'm back at school and the schedule is already crazy before classes have even started. Move-in, two gigs, two studio classes and hardcore practicing for ensemble auditions on Monday is the name of the game, so getting on RPG/pad/Yuku is unlikely except late at night. And, tomorrow is likely also busy since that's hardcore packing day, and today isn't a cakewalk either. So, until next break my days of chillin' on the pad all day are over. Late nights only will be the norm. Luckily we're moving pretty slowly at the moment so I shouldn't miss 8 million posts every day.

And speaking of posts, now that Lilleh has posted I'll do my best to squeeze in a Carmen post today.

Also, let's let NK draw what he wants? He'll get to everyone's characters when he wants to.

Carmen smiled at Lily's apology. "Oh, relax, it's hardly your fault," she replied. "I picked the dress, after all." Yet, Lily still made an effort to change for the dress, and the much whiter wings were a big improvement matching-wise. "That'll do fine," she reviewed, smiling. "We'll just have to be cognizant of your wings the next time we dress you up, hmm?" she said, fluttering her wings a little. It was nice to be off the ground for the first time in a while, though she wondered what the spectacle of a big gaseous bird giving fashion opinions was like.

Turning to see the same guy that Lily had dragged with her to the shooting range earlier, she smiled at him. Its visibility was probably negligible at best in her bird form, but she had never talked to him to her recollection (or even knew his name) so she hardly had much to say.

Turning back to Lily, she said "I'm ready when you are," eager to stretch her wings.
