Walking home, Miyako considered it an overall good day. She'd begun to settle into school, the only Primordial attack had been swiftly handled by one of the other girls in their group, and she had started to make friends. All told, the day certainly could have been worse, and for now she liked to keep it as was. She was busy enough with magical girl business anyway, so it was always good to enjoy moments like these when they came about. You never knew when it would happen again.

As if tempting fate, her desire for peace and gratitude for a calm day was shattered as the feeling of a Primordial washed over her. Two in one day? Well, that was unusual, though that was merely going by her own experience and not that of this place. But still, she couldn't let it pass her by. At least now she wasn't in school, and could make up for her lack of initiative during the attack at lunch.

As the Contractor took off, she quickly ducked off to the side, making her transformation into magical girl form before running after him. Sure, he had a bit of a head start there, but it wasn't major. So long as he didn't vanish again, and she soon stopped caring about him as she honed in on the location of the attack, hoping she would make it in time.

When she made it there, she found that indeed she wasn't, there a distinct lack of dead or dying people, for which she could be grateful. Instead, though, Miyako found some new magical girl fighting a Primordial already present, and the sound of fighting further away. "Geez," she muttered to herself as she surveyed the scene. "How many girls did the Contractor call for? It's like every girl in the province is crawling out of the woodworks or something."

That said, she summoned her swordstaff and moved in to the fight. Specifically, she had seen a third Primordial off in the bushes somewhere, and that might as well be good enough, since the new arrival seemed to be holding her own for the moment. Naturally Miyako went in swinging, the better to quickly encounter the foe and not allow for sneak attacks. The best magical girl in the world wasn't going to be taken out by something like sheer luck, not if she had something to say about it.
Erich shrugged at her comment, mind at much the same conclusion as her for it. Well, he'd have to wait to see up close to make sure, but he wasn't looking forward to the opportunity, simply going off of descriptions. "Doesn't seem like it," he agreed calmly, glancing back once more towards the star field before once more to the empty interior of the observation room.

He nodded in understanding at her own reasoning, which was less personal but hardly unusual for this sort of job. If you wanted to fight, there was no better place for it, that much was for sure. It wasn't as if the TEC was lacking in things to fight.

"Erich Villanueva," he answered when pressed for his name, before addressing her last question, indicating her own dislike for the races. To be honest, the distinction between the two factions wasn't that great, mostly a divide over the direction of the war effort, but there it was nonetheless. "Because I don't think we can simply wait for the Advent and the Vasari to wear themselves out, and I'd rather win while we still have something worth saving." That was his opinion, and he would not be countered on that.

Well, there's three Primmies and three magical girls in he area. I think things will get interesting now. Alas, Miyako lost her chance just because you didn't wanted her to jump head first into action, right?

No? Where did I imply she wouldn't jump right into the action if she still felt the presence of a Primordial once she got there?

Ah well. I'll have an epic save some time in the future then, and then y'all will appreciate her.
*Sigh* Well, I guess Miyako will have to have her dramatic entrance and BDH moment some time in the future then. *Silently shakes his fist at Chiyo*
I think there's no reason for her not to go (she would be simply ignoring the possibility that some one might die), but it's your choice nonetheless.

My thinking was simply that if Miyako felt the Primordial vanish then she wouldn't bother showing up, since trying to be a MG and have a normal life would necessitate not spending extra time with the former. And if there's no reason to fight or show up, she wouldn't waste her time.

Obviously if there's a stage 2 then that will be different.
...And now to decide whether I should have Miyako show up at all, since it was another fight easy enough that it was resolved in a single post (Also, cause I'm not sure if Kyubey did his teleporting trick or just ran the entire way, which would make a difference based on how far away the fight was from her)
I know who he is. He also made the first three episodes of Aldnoah.zero and a bunch of other things. I just couldn't recognize him from a picture, and having actual magical girls in the picture when you were talking about magical girls misled me.
I don't know him enough to identify him by picture alone.

Besides, you brought this on yourself.
I swear, there's like a pseudo-argument on every page at this point. Obviously you're all wrong because we all know who's the best Magical Girl. None of you just want to admit the crushing defeat of your own futility. Embrace the OPness feckless peons.

You mean the girl who wished to save a cat because this is a prequel and is OP in no way, shape, or form yet? :V

Anyway, I still don't think there was an actual argument, but I'll stop anyway.
*Whistles innocently*

I wasn't actually planning to get into an argument about anything, and there was hardly one to begin with. Just a statement made in fun that was responded to.

Otherwise, I'm very well aware of what her weaknesses are, in terms of powers and personality, and that's half the fun as it is. I'm not sure if there will be a fight, but as was seen with the one fight she did have, she can still hold her own without her mimicry ability, thanks to her wish boosting her 'stats' above normal. But yeah, ignore my friendly OOC grandstanding.

@Spriggs27 Shh, you'll ruin my secret!
