Ryan is a very contradictory individual. He constantly pushes himself to the brinks of death as he trains constantly to become the best at what he does, but he can spend entire days doing absolutely nothing as he just lies down and stares at the sky. He's an easily excited individual who can never focus on one thing for long periods of time, but the dedication he puts into his marksmanship is rivaled by few. In battle though he seemingly becomes a new person as he pinpoints enemy weaknesses and environmental advantages and disadvantages. He doesn't talk during battle either, he instead let's his bullets do the talking. Few things faze him as he becomes a machine dedicated to his current goal. He can be serious outside of battle, he just prefers not to. His life motto is, "Life is already too serious. Why make it more so on purpose?"
Home Island/Sea: East Blue
History:
Ryan was born on a pirate ship known as The Horsemen of War. They had kidnapped a prostitute and one of the crew members had a child with her. They kept it well hidden until the child was born, the crew killed the prostitute and the crew member. The captain, Quiet Shot, refused to kill the child and instead has the rest of the crew take care of him. The boy grew up fast, he learned to shoot with the best of them and every so often he went treasure hunting with the rest of the crew too. It was at the age of 13 that life changed for him. The Navy was finally cracking down on them and there were few people besides the captain left. Quiet Shot sent Ryan away on the last lifeboat as the Navy closed in on them, for the last time. Five years pass by and Ryan is hunting for treasure on an unnamed island in the middle of nowhere. He digs up a chest and after breaking it open he finds a bunch of fruit. He gets pretty pissed and throws a lot of it into the ocean. As he's about to throw the last piece his stomach growls and he realizes just how hungry he is. He has some fruit, so why not eat it. He immediately regretted that as he tasted oil mixed with dog crap. He swallowed it begrudgingly and almost immediately felt something wrong. He passed out for a bit, when he woke up his left arm was gone, with only oil spilled all over the beach sand. After about five minutes or so of panicking he began hoping and praying for his arm to be back, it began reforming out of the oil. He then realized exactly what happened. He had heard rumours of Devil Fruits from other pirates, he had just eaten one. Fast forward 6 years and he's traveling the seas in search of a worthy captain and a worthy goal.
Fruit: Oiru-Oiru no Mi, Logia Class The Oiru-Oiru no Mi allows the user to turn into Oil, and use said oil for anything oil may be used for. The user can produce large amounts of oil and can liquefy their entire body if needed. If the user wanted to hide in a small bottle then they could, they could also power a vehicle with their own body if they wanted. Typical weaknesses apply, the user cannot float on water using the Oiru-Oiru Fruit. They will just solidify into their body and sink as usual. The major weakness of the fruit is the users own weakness to fire, when turned into oil they are highly flammable.
Fighting style: Ryan uses guns, lots and lots of guns. While most people can only hold two guns, Ryan can form arms of oil to hold more guns and fire more bullets. He is also adept at reloading fast, but there is a limit to how much he can multitask. More complex tasks will require more attention, while simple things like loading and firing a gun is easy for him to do. He tries to stay away from the enemy, but he's no slouch in close combat. He uses typical Logia tactics like liquefying to avoid hits, but he also uses the oil he produces with incendiary bullets to create fires and in extreme cases, explosions. He keeps 10 guns on him at minimum at all times.
Ryan walked out of the school with a indifferent look on his face. Those exams were a lot easier than he thought they would be, he shouldn't have been so worried. Hindsight is 20/20 though, he was probably going to place in the top 50 in terms of grade at least. In his mind he was anyways.
Ryan stretched his out his arms and felt various bones pop and crack. He should get a good workout in, he's been getting lazy lately. Also, there was something... off. This town felt off in an inexplicable way. It made him nervous, like he needed to get stronger. He should head home now.

Ryan walked into the house and quickly locked the door behind him. He looked around the house and let loose a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. Why was he being so paranoid? Whatever, training time. He entered his garage and took out his set of close combat knives. They were essentially trench knives, the only difference being that these were made for slashing more than stabbing. After a few hours of practice in his movements he took a break and made himself a snack.
Cobalt felt himself get kicked out of the way of the massive monster and let out a sigh of relief. He thought he was a goner for a second, that Megaladeus was two seconds away from swallowing him whole.
"Thanks man, now what's the rest of the escape plan?"
Cobalt's brain caught up to what she just said and a horrified expression bloomed on his face. This quickly became even more horrified as Sangue asked him for help.
"I thought you were helping me! You're so lucky I have problems with abandoning people!"
Cobalt looked around and noticed the Megaladeus turning towards them and opening it's mouth. It got bopped on the nose by what appeared to be a grenade, but hope was quickly lost as it sank into the water silently. He turned to Sangue and smiled.
"It's been nice knowing you."
The giant shark charged towards them and Cobalt prepared to throw Sangue out of the pool and away from danger, when a miracle happened. The grenade exploded and pushed them both to the very edge of the pool just as the Megaladeus chomped at them.
"Thank you so much!!! Thank you!!!"
Cobalt pulled both Sangue and himself up onto the platform and thrust his arms to the air.
"I live! I will never take the ground for granted again! Thank you... Abel right? Thank you Abel."
Cobalt was going to bow but didn't due to Sangue being on his back. He shrugged and aimed at the Megaladeus. Abel was right, one on one was stupid. He watched it sink back underwater and smiled, there was a clear method of attack now.
That's when Jack did what was either the ballsiest, or the dumbest move ever. The flip could've been slightly more graceful, but it was a solid 8 out of 10. Not bad.
Cobalt looked at Diamond and shrugged. "You heard the man. Stay at the edge of the pool and provide ranged support. Later." He took his sword out of his sheath on his back and jumped onto one of the floating lily pads. It sank slightly as it struggled to support his weight, so he jumped into the pool so others could use the lily pad. "This is insane!!!" Cobalt screamed as he hit the water with a mighty splash.
He opened his eyes underwater and saw the Megaladeus staring at Robert with a hungry grin. Huh, never knew that Grimm could smile. Cobalt swam towards it's gills and brought his arms above his head. This was not going to be fun. Not for the Grimm anyways. He activated his Semblance so he could focus on exactly where to stab, just when the Megaldeus noticed him. It was just in time to get stabbed in the side with a big ass blade actually. Cobalt missed the gills due to some last second movement, but damn the 27 Smasher was bleeding this thing out. As the Megaladeus started to thrash to try and get Cobalt off he pulled the trigger on the gun part of the blade a few times to shoot the fucker in the side.
The monster surfaced for a moment and threw Cobalt away from it a good couple of yards. His blade splashed into the water a few feet away from him and he swam over to grab it. In hindsight he probably should've focused on getting away instead. The Megaladeus glared at him and began to charge him to try to smash him against the side of the pool. Cobalt gasped a few times and looked around. "Someone pull the aggro!" He began desperately swimming away but it was catching up fast.
Ryan probably should've been scared. He should've been running around screaming as cannonballs had fallen everywhere. He should've hid in some bottle somewhere and waited for the Marines to leave. Ryan was instead shooting every Marine he saw and screaming "Ten points!" every time he got a hit. This was a fun day, not fun enough though. He didn't even have to use his Devil Fruit yet, nobody was strong enough! Ryan quickly noticed the lack of targets around and he pouted. "Aww. Game over already? Do I have to put in another Beli?" He bolstered his guns and began walking towards a nearby tavern when he heard a strange yell.
"Make way for the cannonball!"
"Huh?" Ryan turned towards a woman carrying a cannonball while other people were fighting. He jogged over to her and looked at the cannonball curiously. "Hey, you need some help with that? It looks pretty heavy." He walked beside the woman a wily grin. "I'm being rude though. I'm Ryan, it's nice to meet you!" He reached out his hand for a handshake and giggled.
