Henry Tapter

Name: Henry Tapter

Appearance:

Henry is about 5'2 and 100 pounds. He has bright green eyes and looks pretty young. His hair is naturally brown, but he dyes it silver. His hair is usually partially covering his left eye and is pretty long in general, the back of his hair reaching the middle of his neck and the front reaching just under his eyes. He's not incredibly muscular, but he's definitely lean, kind of like a parkour expert.

His outfit on a day to day basis is a casual black t-shirt with a red jacket on over it along with blue jeans and running shoes. When on missions he wears a formfitting dark blue bodysuit along with a blank white helmet to cover his face, also doubles as face protection.

Bio:

Henry was born in New York, New York. Never knew his parents, dumped him off in an orphanage hours after he was born. No big deal, just meant he had to get good and taking care of himself, so he did. Around the age of 12 he hooked up with some small street gang, turned out he had a real knack for pickpocketing and stuff. He got caught stealing one too many times so he served some time in juvie, he learned a lot of good stuff from other kids there. Stuff like hacking, making a shiv, the good old stuff.

He got out about a year later, hooked up with another gang, this one was bigger. He was their hacker, the whiz kid who could break into any old system they threw at him. Time passed by, he got better and better, until eventually he got bored.

He was 20 at this point and he had found that Earth wasn't enough anymore.
All the good stuff was put in the cosmos, space was where he was gonna make a real fortune. So he decided to sign up to be a worker on the Endgame. Maybe he'll get lucky and some pirates will raid the ship. Then he can join them.

Kibbe, Wandering Mage

Kibbe followed Nikou silently, nodding at every observation he made with wonder even though he had no idea what any of it meant. Probably important detective stuff. It was pretty smelly down here, but he had been in worse smelling places. Finally they came across two people in the sewers, definitely shady looking. Kibbe looked at Nikou with a confused expression. "Do we attack them?" Kibbe whispered as he gripped his staff tightly.

It was as he asked this that a Dodongo emerged from the sewage and began to attack the two smugglers. Kibbe narrowed his eyes, this was definitely something to attack. A circle of light began to form in the air quickly as Kibbe concentrated on his inner magic. The circle completed and a 3 spikes of ice shot towards the Dodongo. Even if they missed they would explode into flowers of ice which would hit the Dodongo if it was near the shot.

Abilities: Incredible Durability, able to take punches that would shatter a normal humans skeleton and get up to continue the fight. Incredible Speed, able to keep up with the fastest humans alive and able to swing his Beam Katana at rapid speeds. Ki Projection, can charge his swing and release a blade of energy at opponents from far away, takes a few seconds to charge and can be interrupted.

Fighting Style: Jin uses a speedster style of fighting, dashing into combat for quick combos and then dashing back out to avoid counter attacks. His blows are usually shallow, but the damage adds up quickly as the battle continues. When pushed into a corner Jin will use the Golden Revolver to gain some space, but tends to only use it in emergencies as it only holds 6 bullets. He's completely willing to fight dirty as well, not hesistating to throw dirt into an opponent's face or try to break a dude's knee with a quick kick. If he perceives an opening to go for a killing blow he will, which could get him into trouble if the opponent is faking weakness.

Personality: Jin is a massive asshole honestly, he kills people for money, treats his job like a game, has no friends, which is why he loves fucking with people so much. He taunts other in combat, cracking jokes as he hacks away at his foes. All of this is to cover up for the fact that he feels like a loser though, as the only reason he got into the assassin business was to meet his hero. He has very little confidence in himself, which shows when he starts to panic as he is losing. Jin is pretty smart too, he will make sure to analyze his opponent and the battlefield at the beginning of a fight. If he's losing though he might make some sloppy mistakes in his analysis.

Bio: Jin was born in the small town of Santa Destroy, California, which really means he only had one job that would lead him anywhere in life. He idolized the assassins that plagued his town, watching assassin matches on tv and sometimes sneaking into the local stadium to watch them go down. He also constantly lived in fear that he would be killed during some insane UAA match gone wrong, so he started training as hard as he could to not get hit. Jin's life was a bit of a paradox in that regard. He worked hard and saved up money to buy weapons to defend himself with, but that's all he wanted, to defend himself, up until the age of 18 when he met a man known as the "Crownless King" or better known as Travis Touchdown. He was the one man who managed to escape the assassin game without having his head forcibly removed from his body. That man inspired Jin, he wanted to be fearless and strong like he was. So he trained harder than he ever had before, until he was eventually contacted by some dudes who said they could make him strong if he participated in some sort of experiment. Jin figured it sounded like fun, so he agreed. And that's where our story begins...

Echo: Destroy Stadium: A football stadium where assassin matches are held frequently. Jin would sneak in as a kid to watch assassin matches go down, sometimes he collected money from the loser after the winner left.

Appearance: Jin is a skinny white dude, about 5'5 with black hair styled after his hero Travis Touchdown and brown eyes. He typically wears a gold colored jacket with a silver shirt underneath. His pants are blue jeans, with various patches advertising local Santa Destroy stores. His shoes are combat boots, black with red laces.

Frenzy: Jin is surrounded by a black aura in the shape of a panther, becoming fast enough to keep up with high speed cars and strong enough to punch through buildings completely. He no longer requires a waiting time to fire energy blades and most importantly, becomes completely fearless.

Hunters of Remnant: Bleeding Hearts

Name: Jin Midas

Phenotype: Human

Kingdom: Atlas

Appearance: Jin is 5'2 with silver hair and yellow eyes. His hair reaches about to the middle of his neck and the front is cut to just above his eyes. He wears a reversible long coat, which is one side is gold which he wears often and the other side is a metallic grey for when he's trying not to stand out. His usual shirt is silver colored, however he does occasionally wear gold colored shirts. His pants are blue jeans, with several patches on them depicting various bands he's into. His final and favorite accessory is his cowboy hat he keeps on at all times.

Personality: Jin is a really nice guy, honestly. He just has a massive ego as well, believing himself to be the best thing since sliced bread. It really shows too, he tries to do everything by himself outside of combat, such as cooking, repairing his own weapons, maintaining his motorcycle, he doesn't like taking help from others. The exception is when fighting Grimm and other threats as he got the idea of being a lone wolf beaten out of him during his time at Shade Academy. Otherwise he's a pretty chill dude, likes to help others and crack jokes, is down to ride his motorcycle around.

Biography:

History

Born the son of Hotaru and Mai Midas, heir to the Midas legacy, Jin lived a comfortable life with many expectations placed upon him. He was to be the next CEO of Midas Steel, the main manufacturer of metals used for Hunter weapons, so he was raised to be a polite young lad who was savvy in all things business. Needless to say, things did not go well. By the age of 10 Jin was completely rebellious, dying his hair silver, sneaking off to learn how to use the weapons that the company made, pulling pranks on important rich people (most notably the time he dumped a can of white paint all over Jacques Schnee.)

His parents figured he just needed some discipline in his life, so they told him they would send him off to a military academy in Atlas to set him straight. 2 days after delivering the news they found his room had been torn through, clothes strewn everywhere and a large smiley face painted on the wall in bright yellow paint. Later investigation would find an experimental pair of twin revolvers, a large amount of high caliber revolver ammo, and enough money to buy an apartment stolen. Most importantly, Jin was gone.

A search party formed quickly, looking for Jin for a week before eventually coming across his trail. He had boarded a plane to Vacuo to start his life over, starting by joining a Hunter Academy. They followed the trail as far as they could, but finding one child in the vast wastelands of Vacuo was practically impossible.

After he had arrived in Vacuo he hitchhiked from town to town, stealing food and hiding out in abandoned building when night came. He eventually got to a town near Shade Academy, joining a Hunter Training school and passing the test to join with flying colors. A few years passed and he heard interesting news from Atlas, concerning the Midas family.

Shortly after he disappeared his mother discovered she was pregnant, so Hotaru and Mai pulled themselves out of their grief and prepared for another child. When the child was born they named the little girl Akane because of her bright red hair. It was summer break luckily and Jin had some money saved for a flight to Atlas.

History seemed to repeat itself as Hotaru raised Akane to be the next CEO of Midas Steel. It was when she was 6 years old that a teen in a gold long coat showed up, sporting a bright smile on his face and a head of silver hair. Jin introduced himself as her brother who had disappeared 6 years ago, hoping to be a part of her life. He spoke to her whenever he had an vacation from school, telling her all about the crazy adventures he got into in Vacuo, while she told him about her strict home life.

Akane didn't want to be some boring CEO after hearing tales from Jin, so she told her parents she wanted to be a Huntress. When asked why she just smiled and said it was because of someone she looked up to. Hotaru relented after months of badgering amd sent her to Atlas Academy to be a Huntress. Jin never did reveal he was alive to his parents, he was just content to know that he had indirectly saved Akane from a life of bureaucracy and misery. Although he was disappointed he didn't get to take Akane to Vacuo with him in time for his graduation.

Nowadays he's a Hunter in Vacuo, he maintains contact with his sister but doesn't visit her too often now that she is in Atlas Academy.

Aura Color: Yellow

Semblance: Heat Generation: Jin is able to generate heat and conduct it through anything he comes in contact with, such as creating ultra hot bullets or a sword that slices through steel like butter.

Weapon: Aurum: Two revolvers that can conduct Jin's Heat Semblance, they are painted gold and silver respectively and fire 6 bullets each before needing to be reloaded. However they can be combined to form a shortsword for close combat situations. He keeps a small pouch of Dust Bullets on him as well as a speed reloader for fast reloading.

Favors: Motorcycles, sweet food, his sister, Faunus

Disfavors: Grimm, his parents, Atlas, Schnee Dust Company

Affinities: Jin likes to stay at a medium range in combat, peppering foes with bullets enhanced by his Semblance and dodging attacks rather than blocking. He's no slouch in close combat though as he parries enemies to throw them off balance and then attacks viciously.

Faults: Jin can't take big hits, he's a serious glass cannon which is why he focuses so much on not getting hit. He's also very dependent on his Semblance to augment his damage as he doesn't like carrying large amounts of dust around.

@floodtalon Huh, that makes me curious. I thought you couldn't use the gates on people, not that there was a penalty for it.

So it works like this. If Henry were to store someone in the Gates, it would inflict so much mental strain and drain him of magic so much that it would likely kill him. He could do it, but he doesn't want to because it kills him.

Edit: Sliske's hand is pretty much the limit on what he can store that is conscious.
