Her voice echoed from behind the Cyclopes as Angus threw his javelin, the door of orc woman's home opened, the woman inside making no effort to hide herself as she exited her temporary residence. Shield in one hand, an amulet in the other, both appearing to be slightly burnt. The amulet was raised before her, glowing brightly as she stared down the cyclopes before her, annoyance and anger in her eyes as she began casting her spell. "And by leave, I mean you need to leave this mortal plane. Your presence stains the very earth." That same light that emanated from her amulet suddenly appeared around the cyclopes, the feeling of paralysis gripping the monster.

"I. AM. REBORN!" Mourningstar burst into the air, colors flashing off of her rapidly as she felt herself change. She had seen the world, hazy though the memory may be she knew what lied beyond the horizon. The world beckons, a world she was meant to conquer and subjugate, a world that would try to kill her the moment it saw her. She was cursed now, she could feel the curse within her burning all over her body. Her very being was TABOO, the world itself rejected her now... No, wait. That's just the sun. The sun was rejecting her, super hard as a matter of fact.

"Ah fuck, this sucks." She immediately moved into the shade of a tree to get out of the sunlight, glad to be done with that garbage. Welp, time to start testing out these new abilities. As she shone in the shadows of the tree, she immediately noticed that things were going wrong. Because of course they were, things always go wrong when she's not around for even a minute. Welp, time to get down to business. Hey, this would be a good time to try to activate her new skill too. She immediately rushed into the beetle with all the force she could muster, a combination of a tackle and trying to latch onto the thing with her teeth like a vampire. In the words of a famous anime vampire... nah, too easy of a reference.

Mourningstar let off a thoughtful hum as she considered Oberon's words. While there was wisdom in being cautious and staying away from possible human settlements, they would need to hunt for food in the forest if they wanted to eat. And the forest was to the east. But her musings were interrupted by something that she had been wanting to see for the longest time. Level Up number five, the evolution level up. There were four options for her to choose from, well three really since there was no way she was going to be just a boring old Adult Wisp. Pyrofly would be good for pure offensive firepower, the fire in firepower being quite literal. Poltergeist for limbs, sweet sweet limbs and a body. Mourningstar had no idea how much she wanted limbs until she saw that option honestly, limbs were so useful.

But that final option, the option of Corpselight intrigued her. She had some points in Taboo already, but those other two skills were really interesting to her. Blood Drain and Mana Drain, two skills which would be highly beneficial in maintaining sustainability. No more reliance on resting and Mana Crystals, instead she could just drain what she needed. Another thing to consider would be Taboo bringing her closer to the Demon path that she sought. Yes, it was decided.

"Hey, I'm about to evolve right now. If you could wait for me that would be great, otherwise I'll catch up with you in a bit." And with that she saved her skill points for after the evolution and selected Corpselight for evolution.

Personality: A girl who never quite grew out of the phase of believing she's more special than others, her own self belief reinforced by her especially potent ESP powers. Indeed, while she may consider herself the coolest and most mysterious person on the planet, anyone else who talked to her for more than five seconds would immediately recognize her as a massive chuunibyou. While not necessarily cruel or rude to others, it is quite clear from interacting with her that she believes herself to have a very important destiny that must be fulfilled. Whether these are just the delusions of a girl who never learned how to make friends or genuine claims is unknowable, but it's probably the first. On a rather unrelated note, her favorite flavor is sweet and she claims that sugar is the ultimate fuel that powers the universe.

Biography: A rather unremarkable history for a rather remarkable girl, the only important event of Chie's life was when she was 6 and tripped over a rock while playing in her backyard. At that moment she inexplicably fell and cut her eye, pouring massive amounts of blood all over the grass. She was fine in the end, no actual damage done was done to her eye and she didn't actually lose that much blood, she was just overreacting due to being a 6 year old. But that moment would stick with her for the rest of her life, for that moment was when she awoke to her true potential. Those ultimate powers that would change her life forever.

No, not her ESP powers, this was the day when the Earth itself chose her to become its dark champion and protect the future from the dark magic that threatened to consume it. A blood pact was made between herself and the very planet, marking her as someone special. The delusions of a child, but delusions that lead her to Academy City. Her ESP powers were awoken, coincidentally they happened to be quite powerful and useful. This only further cemented those wild fantasies, she was now positive that the world had chosen her to save it from a dark fate that awaited it. Delusion upon delusion piled on top of one another, a secret society of mages were after her life in order to stop her from achieving the Perfect Zenith of Interspace, the world was guiding fortune her way to further her quest, time itself bends to her will to help her get this essay done at the last minute.

Indeed, the life of a savior is full of excitement and wonder, danger and intrigue, yet Chie will bear that cross until she can save the world from the Order of the Dark Akasha.

Description: Particle Space has less to do with particles and more to do with the space in between the nucleus and the atomic cloud. By altering that space and either reducing or increasing the space in between the atomic cloud and nucleus, Chie can effectively alter the size of any object. Mass is retained however, so objects will be just as heavy as they were pre-size alteration.
