I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Right now, I just go to a rich couple's house and hand out candy on the doorstep. The house is a mansion and is always deocrated with Gargoyels, Paintings, and other mansion-stuff. When halloween rolls around, it's filled with decorations and candy. We stay out on the doorstep and hand out candy. I stand between the children and the candy on the walkway to the doorstep. I'll likely wear a clown costume, or something. I've never really gone to a costume party, but I probably will sometime.

Stuff yourself as a scarecrow. Sit very, very, still.

Also, for the weeks beforehand, have a decoy-scarecrow on the porch.

Shit. Have twenty living scarecrows on the mansion-grounds.

The number of scarecrows that come 'alive' will be equal to half the age of the trick-or-treaters.

And give at least one a pitchfork. A real one.

Dang, Dr Oobleck's speech makes me want to be a teacher. Again.

The big character dev momente:
1. Oobleck already knows Ruby's reason. Ozpin told him. ;)

2. The other three aren't 100% sure of themselves, yet. But they know why they fight. (hint: see 1)

3. Not all Grimm are mindless like Pyrrha stated in Vol 1. Some are actually quite rational. Peaceful, almost.
-Which further makes me consider whether or not the huntsmen are the good faction in this fairy-tale.

Further question: how does Roman keep flaunting so much Atlas-shit? Like.. he rolls-up in several Atlas-frigates in the first episode... nobody does shit about what would obviously look like an invasion-fleet over Vale? Who in their right mind is fun--- oh... right. Schnee (V1E2).
-Now stop and think about Char dev note #2.

BTW: DO NOT DO FAN-FICS of relationships you want to see become canon, especially if it involves a plot-twist the overworked writers haven't thought of yet.
-Your posts are automatically copywritten. The only exception would be predicting a 'ship that is already written by RT-staff in a file somewhere.

It would totally ruin Monty's creativity to perma-block him from writing a Dr Oobleck/Jaune slash-fic.

Because Twilight was aimed at young girls and 50 Shades of Grey has a of fetishes in it. It's hard not to find one you don't like in there, honestly. (That doesn't mean you'll enjoy reading it though.)

Literally Twilight is two extremely beautiful boys who are badass and yet soft and caring and blah blah blah, fighting over Bella. It shouldn't be surprising that young girls like that in the same way that many guys fantasize about having two women obsessively wanting to be with him. The difference is that women tend to be more emotional, men tend to be more physical, and that's because of biology.

Again, this is very, very normal. I want to stress that.

And I'd like to stress that Brovo isn't normal, and we all appreciate that very much over here.

I relate to the Zerg's desire for constant growth, change, and food. For fucks sake, that doesn't mean I want to be a man eating bioplague monster in real life.

I could probably find a few people wishing that were not the case.

That's true... And Oobleck could be in on it, I suppose.

Or, y'know, Ozpin bent the rules from the very start. With Ruby joining Beacon. Kept bending it ever since.
-By now his rulebooks double as bowties. So best not to dream of how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

So, just so we're all clear... Ozpin is one of the good guys? Right? All the rash and insane stunts he's pulled were for comic effect?
Magic Magnum said Manga even has similliar plot lines...I mean there's one called "Yami no Purple eye" where essentially this girl can turn into a panther. She has a boyfriend who insults her and beats her constantly, a boyfriend whose reaction to some men trying to rape her was "How dare you go outside and put yourself in danger!", but he's painted as a good guy. This girl actually ends up getting raped by another boy... and the Manga shows genuine sympathy and care for the guy. There's a lot more horrid shit to it, but that brief description basically get's across the whole these guys are obviously complete shit heads... But their idolized. And this is a Manga that constantly gets high praise... Just think about that, a Manga whose hero beats their girlfriend, get's mad at her for being raped, and shows sympathy to the rapist is a highly praised Manga.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/08/31/putin-threatens-nuclear-war-over-ukraine.htmlDoes anyone know if Russia has a two man rule for nuclear weapons? Hoping there will be a coup if he invades, say, Estonia and NATO resists, prompting a nuclear threat from him.

Actually, Russia's nuclear system is totally automated.

Like... the Dead Man Switch on Lost with one of five people pushing a button every hour on the hour so the world doesn't go 'boom' for the past 80 years.

Leave the buttons alone, and in about 1 hour, 30 minutes, the world will glow blue.
I heard it was written excessively in first person narrative from the perspective of each main character.

So after prolouge: nope.

Foster wonder if he owes Rumiko a new katana (oil quenched and case-hardened).

That or a handmade bow and arrow.
BTW: for archery merit badge, you have to make your own bow, arrows, and score a string of straight-bullseyes at the range with it.
Little debbies. Large box.
*Roughly a dime for every 100 calories. Can literally feed yourself for a dollar a day if you can tolerate eating the same cake.
-More to the point, is good filler of calories so you don't go utter zombie-mode in school. You'll still want to eat proper food at least once a week to prevent scurvy.

Add butter or a greasy hot-dog to ramen-noodles, will taste *far* more filling. And learn to boil an egg (because you *NEED* a protein-intake).
-Rice is a 2:1 volume-ratio of water to dry rice (add butter to add flavor and cook faster).
*If butter is a freebie-condiment, TAKE IT.

As a last resort, coffee-grounds will suppress apatite.

Also, invest in a snow-shovel, a wide one for running like a human snowplow on light dustings, and a narrow one for when you get a wet dump. Start shoveling driveways for $10/ea this winter and you may be able to afford a hot meal every other day.
-Seriously, hot chow is up there with a dry pair of socks after a wet day of walking (which BTW, can be dried by placing the socks under the neck collar on long marches [or when shoveling snow, place under scarf]).

This knowledge comes somewhat from what I learned about 1940's era combat-rations. Other bits came from talking to some really old folks from the civil war and from personal experience.
-Did I mention that wearing a second long sleeve shirt, scarf, and hat will probably keep you far warmer than a winter jacket on its own?

*Learn a skill/trade and be willing to do stuff older and 'more productive' people aren't willing to or outright cannot do.
-One way to strike-up business is to do it for free the first time, to get their attention. And be willing to simply trade favors (will work for food).
My local community is really in favor of non-taxable barter for services.

Oh, and one more thing, welcome to the job-market.
