I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Im okay with having a few of my guns jam if i feel like my ass isn't under enough strain. XP

... Mind if I field a platoon? (3 squads+tanks)

Allowing for random shit happening to draw-out the fight for narrative-reasons, sounds like legit storytelling.

I'm not sure whether to expect zerglings of death, gigantic mechs, or space-fortresses.
-Magic-casters would be... odd... pleasedon'tbealichking.

I misread tier 3 as tier 5... apparently a tier5 can flip my tank with one 'arm' and outrun most bullets... you guys got arms, right?

How familiar are you with Bofors-Dynamics's missile-tech?
Sure, although a single tier 3 would be quite a challenge... like living nightmare-fuel for those guys (since each person would be on the threat-level of a complete Hind-gunship).
Tier 5.... that's like gundam-shit of night-terror.

Just be glad:
1. It's only a squad, out of an entire army.

2. I won't be calling-in air support (presumably the air-war is too hotly contested for ordnance to be directed towards ground).

3. Unlike 'The Predator' I'll refrain from pressing the nuclear 'easy button'.

Also, keep in mind their hit-rate isn't 100%, although a near-miss from an RPG usually does escalate pucker-factor up to 11.
-Some of those grenades are smoke/illum
Not sure where to start, so I'll start with some pre-worked ballistics.

General section-layout will be similar to but not exact to that of an Combat-Groupe
So one GPMG, one mortar, a sharpshooter, and three riflemen with a metric crud-ton of rockets and grenades. Oh, and a tank with pretty much the same loadout as the entire squad.

Some of these men will be wearing power-assisted assault armor. Nothing fancy really, just something that allows a walking-tank to leap off their tank and bum-rush their way into a building. The energy-reserves only allow for about 30 minutes of autonomous high-intensity combat, though.
-Hence the tier 0-2.

ECM, ECCM, and C3 will likely be a tad behind the FFW/Felin concept

300 meter Team
1. Type 81 /w under-barrel shotgun (double-barrel .410, 50 shells) and 3 rifle-grenades + Rockets (3)
2. Type 81 /w under-mounted 23mm grenade-launcher (5 shot) and 20 grenades
3. Type 81 /w 3 Rifle Grenades + 2 Rockets and launcher (Type 69)

600 meter Team
1. PSL Marksman-Rifle + Type 54
2. PKM General Purpose MG + Type 54
2. 82mm Recoilless-Gun B-10 + Type 79

Support Team: WZ-131A Light tank (crew = 4)
1. Commander, Gunner, Loader/Radio-Operator, Driver (the Type 62 is odd that it has a spot for the loader in the hull)
Tank Armament: 85mm gun /w over-barrel ATGM, two 7.62x54 MGs (1 in hull, 1 Co-ax), 12.7mm HMG/23mm Autocannon (Pintle-mounts cmdr/gunner)
Crew Armament: 1 RPK, 3 Type 79 SMGs, ~50 hand-grenades and ~40 MON-50 mines that may be fitted to hull and command-detonated

Note: a YW531 APC would have allowed too many people into the fight.

Also, each man will have a pair of hand-grenades or mines (additional hand-grenades and mines stored with tank).
Well, technically it's a 'section' but the British like using their English differently than everyone else.

To be fair, if I get bored, I've done full-on platoon-level contacts and micro-managed that down to the individual soldier.

Which resulted in a very odd firefight between a 28-man platoon and a 50-man platoon with an organic tank-support.
-I was asked to leave the tank behind, for reasons I had to make-up myself (I claimed it hit a mine).

I'm likely to be using tier 0-2 Although I'm thankful for fielding a battle-rifle designed from the outset to turn a mecha into swiss cheese.

For the Emperor.
Not sure what a T.E. A. listing is, but I could field an overstrength-squad of 12-15 against you from the (three) FTLs' perspectives*.
-May or may not include a lightly armored vehicle, as I've tended to favor combined-arms assaults.

*My units tended to reflect the French structure with soviet quantites.
-Short range (300m+), long range (600m+), and support (Crew served weapons and vehicles).

Three such squads make a platoon, allowing for very flexible deployment and dynamic flanking under effective covering-fire.
-When deployed as a single squad, it usually works down to a single 300/600m spotter/sniper team, two understrength anti-tank units, and a gun-truck to act as cavalry.
I'm just going to bump this.

Because, area 51 is awesome.

Excpt we'll probably get shipped into space (or 'spaced' rather) somewhat early.
Now we're breaking-out the ad hominems!

Weren't you the one to use "tl;dr" as a valid argument?

Gets kinda annoying.

Battle of the Rubble occurred then led to Battle of Metisette.
[Rubble was still being contested even as Juliana de-orbited the previous battlefield into the later]

Gray Team (3 Spartans) participated in the Battle of the Rubble.
[Not refuting that, but all they did, was protect Delgardo... because a jackal hit Adriana over the head with a chair, at a bar (or something equally stupid)... and a rampant AI asked them nicely to do so]

Gray Team (3 Spartans) participated in the Battle of Metisette.
[Only Jai and Adrianne, Mike had to stay behind, these are neither a different 3 Spartans, nor an additional 2 spartans]

Gray Team (3 Spartans) was sent [...] out of contact for about a year*.Gray

They are MIA.
[listed as such since Reach, even gets mentioned in-game]

You constantly use factually wrong information or child abuse to justify your obsession with inferiority.

Wait, I'm abusing a child?

*Considering they left in 2535, and haven't returned by the end of Halo 4... yeah... they're dead.

So the ODSTs would have failed without them.As for your link, nothing is mentioned about ODSTs, Prowlers, or the male Captain Keyes involved in the Battle of Rubble. So your source sucks or you failed to accurately cite your source. Either way you failed.

I was too lazy to wiki-walk you through it all.

Divisive mandate > link: Battle of the Rubble > Link:concurrent battle: Metissette > Link: Preceeding incidents: Battle of Cherybdis IX > Link: Concurrent: Scyllion Warehouse District Riot

Battle of Metissette > Link: Proceeding battle: 18 Scorpii

Note, 3 Spartans were at Rubble, 2 at Metissette, all were declared MIA afterwards. Making them the only team of Spartan IIs never to upgrade past Mark IV.
-90% of the time they were just protecting one guy (because the rampant AI told them to), and it wasn't Keyes. And he still dies.
And they seriously were just chilling in a bar at the time.
