I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

You two are so passionate about the military. It's adorable :]

Militant Tsundere Tsunami: do not ship.

Also, try running with a .223 leg-wound, I dare you.
-google-imagesearch it before posting.

Just as a note, this is .17 HMR, a tiny rimfire step-up from .22LR

As for Weiss, I have yet to find a character to ship her with. I know people ship her with Blake, but I ship Blake with Yang.

She's been shipped with Ruby.
-Weiss is a little too tsundere to show it and you know it

"You came back for me!"

That luggage-rack was a little too convienently placed by "the smartest girl of the class", eh?

Theory: The luggage rack appeared AFTER Yang left. And Weiss was pretty much standing right next to said rack, likely within earshot.
Weiss seems like the kind to panic in a social situation (not unlike Ruby), opting for a rather contrieved way of appearing dominant and/or 'impressive'.
--Likely, she hoped Ruby would just bump into the rack, and not knock things over and become 'crater face' (a name Weiss has never called her, perhaps due to guilt of causing the situation and then letting it get way out of hand).

She yells at them, because she cares.
As for other numbskulls that Weiss could have easily told-off... Cardin, Penny, and Sun in particular.
^Me and shelton see a negligent discharge waiting to happen.

I just read your post more carefully. As i said the army has a colossal amount of weapons and ammunition, risking soilders to get back 2 small guns sounds stupid. Plus there are many reasons why communication with Fort Lewis might have failed!

You noticed that the last sentance agreed with you all along?*
-Kinda makes your rage-post look a bit spastic.

*It isn't sending soldiers *back* to retrieve missing kit, it's to grab anything and everything useful for the mission (namely, ammo, mags, belts, better weapons, anything that counts as a "force-multiplier" [which they pretty much did, meaning the survivoring (ten?) soldiers are likely lugging their own personal radios and GPS by now, and still retaining their full platoon's allotment of machine-guns and C-mags]) before they GTFO of the killzone. The entire 'bug-out bag' principle.

And like a bug-out bag, it's more a list of priorities of things you really want to keep with you. You can usually survive without it, maybe even get a replacement, but the loss of a man sucks a big one, loss of a man and all his shit is a pretty catastophic loss in some cases. As I said, shit sometimes REALLY gets that bad, in which the grunts have to pray for a quick resupply/evac, and the spec-ops just crank the pucker-factor up to eleven.

Ditto! I know Monty's hinted that Jaune and Ruby would have some romantic moments, but Pyrrha wants him. It's not hard to see.

Yeah, but the question is... why?

He doesn seem to attract her spear... magnetic aura/personality?
-I mean, he made friends with Ruby (the wall-flower that drinks milk) for cripesakes, even after vomiting on her shoes...
-Weiss is a little too tsundere to show it and you know it.

Sooo still kind of struggling on trying to figure out where to fit my character in at.

Same.

Also: Koko:
I'm pretty sure Shelton will agree that the situation had to get pretty terribad for proffessional military personel to leave live arms and ammunition behind, especially considering they'll need quite a bit of it to do thier job.

Even when traveling by car, every critical thing is in a rucksack for easy transfer to a fresh vehicle even if half the crew is killed outright.

Averted, in that the situation is pretty terribad, and even then they pretty much took all the worthwhile supplies (seriously, who cares about lugging a pistol when you've got assault-rifles and LSWs?).

Ended up cleaning a leaking aerisol can full of gun lube instead of writing :-( I'll write something tomorrow after work

I recommend stabbing that with a bayonet-charge to depressurize the can.
Oh hey, I know you...
Zata said "Ah, um, good of you all to make it..." Jack said, doing his best to keep his voice from cracking, "Well, commander, I, er, don't really have any. I'm not really a, uh, out-and-about person... I, er, hoped that you people had some ideas. Like, um, shopping or eating or... something..." Jack's voice trailed off as he finished speaking. After a second or so, another thought struck him, and he continued, "I can cover whatever expenses we have. In case that, um, you know... helps give you some ideas..."

blazinvire said "Oooh shopping! The magic word! There are shops out there right? Maybe clothes shops...? Marlene and I could put on a show!" Scarlett said, ending with a short laugh to say she was only half-serious, as she kind of doubted anyone had the courage to agree with her at this point.
"But anyway, my vote's for shopping."

Whoi, you're getting a bokken, and that's final.

"Everybody says that you're moving again"Ohp, well.. Yup. Pretty much describes 90% of the last RP, right up until we hit the school. Went pretty well for quite a while and then NO. WAIT. MEGA HUGE HORDE ON THE HORIZON.

The music goes well with the video if you synch "Here we go" with when the camera flashes to the radio.
-Alternately, you hear clicking stop just as the video fades-in on the tank.

I don't wanna be right every single night.

I can tell you a thing about taking your time.
I'm tempted to re-use a high-school character... Robert 'Eagle-Eye' Cunningham.

"Foster" said Working on it, doing the easy bits I remember best, first.

Character Name: Robert Cunningham | Clique: Isolated outsider from the Indian Resservation

    Biography
Race: Norse-Caucasian | Ethnicity / Nationality: : American, with a tinge of native upbringing before being sent to St Clarence to be more 'civilized'
    Date of Birth: September 18 | Age: 17 | Class: Junior | Recent transfer-student
Appearance: Six-foot even with unreasonably long arms, bespeckled, and often letting his sun-bleached red hair grow long "for insulation" come wintertime.
    Enemies: n/a | Allies: n/a

Other: Is the youngest brother of a highly accomplished and accredited family, is often viewed as something of a screw-up in progress in the shadow of his elders' accomplishments.

    Personality
    Alignment: Chaotic good
Motivations/Disposition: The needs of the many outwiegh the needs of the self, due in part to an abysmal self-esteem.
Outlook/Religion/Philosophy: Pantelism, Final judgement already happened. You've already been saved so stop screwing it up for the rest of us.
    Sexuality: Hetrosex
    Positive Personality Traits: Generally selfless
Negative Personality Traits: Callous disregard for authority or personal safety
Misc. Quirks: Repository of trivia not taught (or actively suppressed) in the classroom

    Interests
Likes: Refferance books, tech-manuals, in-depth anectdotal accounts of inspired awesome
Dislikes: Spending time outside in the rain, being lectured, having to foresake a social-life to keep his grades up
Hobbies: Rifle shooting and archery. Hopeful to get a fully-sponsored college scholarship into a career in crimminal justice/investigation.

BTW: There was a tiny, 2-second note that both the protagonists [Brothers] in Red Dawn [1989] were Eagle-Scouts, and the first 10 minutes were there to illustrate they were both highly-competitive about it (hence how they knew how to use.. just about every gun from their father's store, camping, and horseback-riding...).

Wait, so who did Elias originally belong to?Also, never read Colfer's sequel to Adams' (amazingly written) series. I probably should get on that though. Hopefully it doesn't completely ruin my life.

Dunno, but without Sarafene there's really no point in me RPing him and Minori hopping on a bus and taking a bunch of the weapons we've collected over the previous four chapters with them.

If they *do* return to the story, then it'll involve them keeping a bunch of zombie-fetus pets and/or making a twisted spectacle of the zombie-apacolypse a-la Zombieland.

Anyhoo... The theme of this entire RP. Rule 34 sez there's probably a music-video of TWD with that song.
-Meh, goes pretty good if you mute this video to it
