I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Awwww, I'm sorry to hear that...

That's the undesireable side-effect of life.
-As light cannot exist without a darkness to compare it to, a life worth living cannot be had without first knowing of death and how finite and fragile life is.
**Unlimited life has no value, due to no scarcity. To paraphrase Thomas Paine, it is only through the great cost of some things that we can derrive its value, and cherish how precious it is. (Why I dislike the undead)
BTW: The Lambda symbol (small) also stands for Failure-Rate in engineering applications. While in the auto-industry it's used to denote the oxygen-sensor (specificly, the air/fuel ratio of combustion).

Anyways, it seems Lozen is a merc. Most mercs (even freelancers) have a handler, case-worker, placement-agency, or something like that to do most of the legwork in finding places for them to work even while they are out "earning their pay".
-A fast-talking handler would probably be necesary for Lozen, since she probably wouldn't handle being between jobs too well... staying busy is a good way to keep out of trouble... or at least making sure you get paid for it.

Likewise, the handler would have to be a tad picky about what missions to accept on Lozen's behalf, as I'm sure picking a pushy cleint would make her a tad pissy.

The other job of handlers, ofc, is setting-up safehouses, creating alibies, and forging identification and other 'official' papers as necessary to ensure the safety of their employees.

On an unrelated note for passers-by to pass some time waiting for their respective replies: Hey, remember that time I shot you with a tranqualizer-dart?

*Notes he could go-over any of the other 43 characters listed and try for a plot. Yes, even Lydia.

... What the hell? Going for a greeting, that's certainly not the way to do it.

I got you to stop saying *BUMP*, didn't I?
Yeah, it was... She's dead now. Brain tumor hemorraged a second time after waking from a 9 month coma.
-Back in the day when I prioritized my RPs to the terminally-ill of RPG.
Strangest pairing ever done:
1. A shell-shocked soldier and an alien-pacifist (and bartender by occupation) that can only feel emotions through empathy...

Seriously, it's like watching someone trying to make Batman smile, and succeeding.
'Sup?

Got mail?
And how many flaws you want this guy to have?

You ould provavly even shuck a few of those ideas at the bottom-post into it.
-Because bloggers... gonna blog.. even with compound-bow wielding vigilanties.

Biggest issues with RPing with me:
1. Typoes. Lots. Especially in PMs/E-mails.
2. Crazy-Lazy rate of posts. Getting 3 posts a week out is 'fast'. Getting them once a month is not unheard-of.
3. I tend to skip details, either in an effort to get back on-plot, to keep it from being muddled, or because it's an intentionally indecent and head-tiltingly kinky noodle-incident that I couldn't type because of acute 'bouts of manic laughter.
Blood, rust, and slightly unstable killers prone to premature weapons-fire in their bedrooms, in space... sounds familiar...

Lilt said The title was simply a ploy to get people to look at my topic.

It's a trap!

That aside, most traps are generally geared towards a certain elusive quarry.

I'm more of the crippled eccentric badass with a pick-up line.
SW-bladey:
Although Batman + Robin where quite a storytelling pair, like Sherlock Homes and Watson... or Biggles...

Robin kept having his fallings-outs...
-Dick Grayson saw Batman as too manipulative, and was way cheesed-off when he found out B-Gordon was B-Girl the hard way... as in, after the Joker found out and shot her in the spine for the lulz.
-Jason Todd... He kinda died... Then came back as Red Hood...

Speaking of which... Cpt A. and Bucky... F'ing Bucky... if you ever pick up one of those older comics, keep trying to remind yourself that a 'normal' 12 yr old kid (after going through boot camp from hell alongside Fairbanks and Applegate; quite possibly even becoming a SHIELD recruiter before Steve Rogers came-along) has a higher kill-count than a juiced-up super-soldier in nearly every issue. Also: Winter Soldier.
I seem to recall something about pestering Ender Wiggin and defending a place called Ashpoint.
