I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Well, I don't really have a tazer, just this arc-welder capable of delivering 230 amps...

Hello again, outlandish poster.
Cosmeticly, not much. As the Type 62 is based off a scaled-down Type 59, which is a Chinese copy of ther T-54. While a Soviet T-62 was one of those uber-premium "will not sell to any foriegner" tanks based on the T-54. In the finer details, the Type-62 is smaller, with smaller gun, and was pretty much gutted of all the nifty electronics that would've allowed it to effectively fire on the move, while the T-62 is quite the opposite, jam-packed with lots of advanced technological goodies, like an autoloader.

And now I wish I instead posted "Why do we Fall?"

This example doesn't work for the main reason that wherever McDonalds is, there is another restaurant of comparable calibre nearby. There are many areas in the States where there is only one or two ISP's. It's a monopoly or duopoly, and nothing stops them from charging whatever they want to, except maybe a cleverly worded law suit......And at this rate, even that will be a joke.

Oddly enough, some of those monolpolies are enacted by local ordnances.

I guess maybe eradicate was the wrong word, I meant something like "stopping all outbreaks of the disease". Obviously the microbes live on.

Aye.

BTW, I do agree that people should vaccinate, and that research should continue on creating new vaccines even if only to presserve the working-knowledge on how to isolate and create an innoculation from a 'wild' non-atenuated strain.

Creating non-innoculating vaccines (modern smallpox vaccine) probably would take too much time and resources in a crisis.

It's the 4th Infantry Division's patch, if that's what you're thinking of.

Nah, I mistook it for this Army (the guys that ran 'Tigerland').

'Distinctive unit insignia' is not distinctive enough, apparently... needs more rainbows and kittens...
Well, actually, most of those outbreaks are pretty much the sort of stuf that inspires the plot of Alien: totally irrational and irresponsiable efforts to weaponize that nasty looking thing that ripped-off Marvin's face.
