Yo.
In HCL, each game has a single universe, and all 'games' are just representations of that universe. It sounds more like your character is able to affect this conceptual universe, a universe that shouldn't really exist, and pull objects and characters out of it.
Alternatively you could grab stuff from the actual universe of that game, but being able to do that screws over any and all video game characters in the roleplay.
Well, if it's an infinite multiverse, then there'd be different versions of the characters, based on what choices they'd make. I could, to be nice and not screw with video game PCs, tap into those universe instead.

Hey, your character looks ok, however video game universes can actually be entered by pretty much anyone. It's a crossover rp thing. Think...anyone can go anywhere.
I understand that, but the way she works is that if she can see a video game being played, she can open a portal and have the characters do her bidding, or grab items. The way I'm thinking of it (tell me if I'm wrong) is that each video game cartridge is its own universe, seeing as you make choices when you play video games. So basically, she can summon characters to do her bidding, or grab items in the game.
