@Tombprince You just made my day so much better. Thank you. Yes, totes cool with you joining if you can do so quickly.

So...we're going to have to split in two teams. Split however you guys want (Noon will just go to whichever has the least, or whichever I feel like if they're even). Can still associate with each other, but can totes be rival teams. However we divide, one of the novas will have to be on a different team than the others team.

Dead Roads

When Jane heard the scream, every ounce of color draining from her face. Jess. She had known her as well as everyone else on the team. Even if that wasn't a lot, they were the only people she knew now. Jane felt her mind slip out of her skull, as if it had decided to take a step back and watch what the body would do without a brain to control it. The answer was not pretty. At first, Jane simply stood there, frozen, like a statue. Jane felt so detached from her body, unable to control it, only able to watch what it did. This had always happened, even before the outbreak. A doctor had said it was some sort of defense mechanism against fear. Some sort of selective depersonalization they had called it. Whatever it was, it happened when Jane was absolutely terrified. Not the standing up and talking to the class kind of terrified. The kind of fear you get when you're getting attacked, or are being chased, or sometimes...when you hear a scream. That had been what caused it to activate this time. After about a minute, she broke her frozen state and threw herself towards the edge of the roof. Her body stayed on the roof, while her head poked off and was gazing at the ground, several feet below. Right then her mouth opened and puke spilled to the ground. Not much, due to her lack of food and water, but a little, about how much could fit in small water bottle. She lifted her head back up, resting it on the edge of the roof. Her vision was hazy, but she could definitely see a few moving blurs in front of a much bigger yellow blur. She silently watched them, mouth open agape, eyes droopy.

Sooooo....is anyone against Jane has a psychological problem where her brain just sorta turns off when she's panic, and her body just does unpredictable things. For example, one time she goes berserk and another time she'd run.

I have officially decided Janes fighting style: she closes her eyes, turns her head, swings wildely at her assailant, and prays to god she hits something! :D

A large grin was spread across Opal's face as the school came into view. This was odd, mostly because she usually hated mornings. But she was as awake as a person could be, with a look of joy on her face. Even her walked seemed to scream happiness. So what exactly was it that made this particular morning special? The answer was simple: she had recieved a letter back from the Gem School. It had invited her to the school for some sort of appointment with the headmaster. She assumed this was just something that all the students had to do when they got accepted. It was slightly paculiar that they had asked her to come the second day instead of the first, but she shrugged it off. Every doubt seemed to bounce off of her like bullets off of Superman. She finally made it to the school grounds and stepped inside the main building. She was immediately greeted by a a woman who appeared to be some kind of receptionist. "Hey! I have an appointment with the headmaster!" she said with a friendly smile.
