You'd think being such proficient gunslingers, they'd know not to pop off an RPG at a guy that is close enough to punch them.

And I agree with the Karmic abilities. I would have liked some sort of AOE flash-freeze ability which would let you shatter enemies hit by it.

I've forgotten how big of assholes the enemies are in this game. Pretty much flawless accuracy, and dumb as rocks, meaning they'll fire an RPG at me from a foot away killing me instantly.

I knew I should have changed the difficulty to normal after the game set it to hard based on my performance during the first mission. Which I think is silly anyway. Why would you judge the player's ability from their performance during the first, and easiest, mission in the game? Git gud, Suckerpunch.

That's a silly mindset, Harris. The "root" of the problem is, 9.5 times out of ten, that the aggressor is just a fucking sociopath who knows nothing of human decency. They NEED their shit kicked in, multiple times, and MAYBE, MAAAAAAYBE coupled with therapy on why they should stop being assholes.

But in all seriousness, the only real way to stop violence is WITH violence in some capacity. Not saying you need to go fucking apeshit ballistic, but you need to physically fight back, not just scorn the aggressor and "feel bad" for the person said aggressor attacked. Know what that does? It allows the aggressor to keep BEING an aggressor, they will NEVER change just because someone sent them a letter or message that is filled with emotionally charged words. Words can only stop something BEFORE it happens, they can't stop it from happening as it happens.

As a PURE mage, you can't really specialize in anything without getting wrecked. At least in Skyrim. Each magic spell compliments another, it seems. My current setup is firebolt/lightning stream, stoneflesh, Bound Sword(not as useful as it may sound, not yet anyway), Courage for Faendal, Flame Atronach, and Raise Undead for those times where I really want to mob something.

Started my first ever pure mage character in Skyrim

Or any Elder Scrolls game, actually. I'm always a spellsword/theif. Thought I'd finally break the mold and be a filthy Thalmor graceful High Elf mage. The first thing I did after breaking out of Helgen was wrecking shit in Bleak Falls barrow and sequence breaking everything by grabbing the Dragon Stone. Then I went off to do the College of Winterhold quests....at level six.

A sad time indeed...I'm currently at the Labyrinthian, and I'm so bloody underpowered that I'll probably have to do stuff elsewhere for a while and build up my magicka pool. I think Faendal is the only reason I got THIS far.
