From her slightly elevated position, Yui watched on as they had seemingly won. The combined attacks seemed to, at first, have vanquished the shade...so why did this bad feeling not go away then?

That was when Yui realized it wasn't over with, as the shade came back into action and launched another attack. Even if she was not necessarily the target, Yui didn't take any chances and used her Cheerful Thoughts ability to make a transparent tulip appears around her and act as a shield as the enemy's beam barreled towards them. It barely touched Yui's shield, but the young girl heard Ukiko's yelp as she jumped out of the way.

"Happy Steps." she said to herself as she skipped yet again towards the phantom girl. She stopped for a second, Ukiko was pretty much in the open. Another attack could be coming...but after only a second of hesitation, Yui shook her head and ran to the wounded girl's side. Their companions could keep it busy, she had faith in them even fi she only just met them; they were all magical girls after all.

"Wait just a second please, Ukiko-senpai..." Yui grabbed her bellflower-staff and approached it to the wounded arm, cupping her other arm close to the wound also and closed her eyes.

It seemed that for a moment Yui's cheeked reddened slightly before she said; "Perfect Love...". Immediately, the stem of a flower began growing around Ukiko. Not tightly, but the stem grew until it reached the location of her wound, where the bulb matured into a beautiful pale pink Tulip. Any feelings of being hurt would starts to slowly fade as the flower emanated a feint glow and the wound would slowly heal.

When it was fully healed, Yui took a step back and seemed somewhat strained. "You should feel better now...I-I hope..."

@AzureKnight@LuckyBlackCat@Shiyonichi

"Maybe we shouldn't get too close..." Yui began saying as Ukiko made her way to the shade as soon as Yui had pointed it out. Once again, she ended up agreeing more with Bura-Bura than her senior Mahou Shojo.

Her eyes were darting between the Shade and the Ghost Girl and couldn't help but notice her clenched fist, however brief. Yui was a very good Gardener, and once, some time ago, she told her granny she felt like she could feel the plants. She knew what they needed or how they felt. The plants were easier to read than the people to her. Yui's grandmother always said of her grand daughter that she was the most empathic person she knew. Ever since Yui had her powers, she felt like part of that 'gift' applied to people too, now. She couldn't be too sure, but ever since she met her new companions she couldn't help but feel like Ukiko, at least, was putting on a bigger façade than the others. No matter how hard she tried, some of it, at least to Yui, seeped out. She felt it.

While she was thinking and observing though, the others jumped into action. All Yui could do as the laser come towards them was was duck down since she was caught by surprise - however Kana's magic seemed to have saved them this time. Snapping out of it, Yui also went into action following Ukiko. She used her Happy Steps to get a bit higher, skipping on top of a slightly elevated rooftop. Seeing Kana charging in and Ukiko also launching attack after attack, Yui had an idea.

"Roses: Passion." she said, getting down on a knee so that both her hands touched the floor. From the wall beneath her first suddenly burst forth two roses bulb followed by their ever growing stem, looking like giant vines with thorns. Yui would direct those two vines towards the Shade's legs to try and wrap around them and prevent it from moving and dodging whatever attacks her companions would throw it's way.

Silently and diligently cleaning his Lance's head, Niall was listening to the discussions going on around them. So that knight, Luna, was a Lightsword it seemed and these two men were her brothers. She certainly seemed to have a fiery character to her and obviously knew how to defend herself well, as expect of the Queen's knights. Niall was gad to have her around. The same would be said of the magic user - Fio. Her attacks were relentless and deadly, as well as often proved to be the focus of the three knight's strategy in the previous fight.

As for Luna's out-loud questions, Niall remained silent. He could have theorized and asked questions of his own, but the fact of the matter was he knew nothing about that enemy so had nothing to share, for now. Being a newcomer in the group, he was content to wait and listen for now.

When the Queen joined them, Niall stood up, Lance at his side. He followed them to the fort. Once in the room, Niall propped his lance against the table close by his. He did a small and polite bow to the knights when he was introduced.
"Pleased to serve alongside such skilled fighters, Queen Sorcha ." he simply answered.

He listened to the rest of the discussion and plans before adding. "If I may, my skills are best suited for the cover of darkness. It would be no issue for me to scout at night time. That being said, I will accept whatever decision the majority agrees with." he said, politely. Niall himself was already well rested, but food was always a welcomed sight.

Success. Niall successfully managed to deflect the spear thrust which in turn at the very least helped Luna manage the rest the foe's attack. Niall's own counter attack in the form of a slash to the Formorian's abdomen seemed to have been dodged as the enemy suddenly moved after grabbing Luna's wrist to throw her. Niall had to back down and step back as to net get hit by the caster's falling swords. Though he did not see them stray too far from their intended target yet, he still needed to play it safe and defensive against this enemy.

Niall was fully ready to engage again, this time unleashing his own ability...however, when the dust from the previous attack settled, the Formorian had himself backed out. He had stepped some distance away, but Niall figured he could still reach the corrupted elf with Gwdihw's wind - but he didn't. It was apparent that, for now, the fight was over. Niall stood down.

Instead, as things calmed down, Niall walked closer to the queen herself and the other knights. He did not yet know them, having been contacted by the Queen only recently, and so remained silent for the time being. It didn't help that his interactions with actual fellow humans had been few and far between since he had left the Tuathas that raised him. He instead opted for finding the nearest rock or tree stump to sit at, Lance against his thigh as he would clean the blade until they were to move on.

There would be time for proper introductions once things settled down.

"How cute." Yui thought as Quant introduced itself.

So these two, at least, were experienced Magical Girls then? And from Crimson's introduction, Yui could be forgiven to assume that she had at least a few weeks of experience also. As for the young girl herself, 'The Evergreen Magical Girl' only had a few days. Indeed, the fairy that visited Yui, Alette she said her name was, only came earlier this week. Which meant that between evenings hunts and school...Yui actually had a few hours of practice at best. Green indeed seemed to be her colour.

That being said, as Ukiko was talking and generally grabbing attention, Yui seemed to be the first one to notice or, at least, bring up the matter at hand. Feeling a sort of 'tingling' sensation, the girl's attention was brought to the slithering shape of a shade seemingly still hiding from them.

Taking a step towards her seniors, Yui tugged on Setsuko's robe lightly to draw the attention if the fiery girl "Hmm... Sorry, but; isn't that a Shade?" she said with all the innocence in the world, pointing over to the threat.

Not unexpectedly, their assault did not have the desired impact on the Fomorian. Thankfully however, Niall had suspected it and remained on guard which was what may have saved his life.

The Knight had intended to follow up on Fio's next attacks, as he did previously, but the Fomorian acted even faster than Niall expected. The Knight's next assault was cut short as he was forced to defend himself with his spear instead, being forced to take a step back from the sheer force of their enemy's attack. Back into the fight, Niall anticipated where the enemy would be led from Fio's swords and lunched himself forward.

Once close enough and hoping to relive some pressure from Luna, Niall used his spear's length vertically hit the Fomorian's own spear, attempting to make the thrust miss Luna by going downwards instead. Niall would then follow up with a slash to the Fomorian's abdomen, trusting in Luna's abilities to block the sword swing and follow in the counter attack.

Niall could finish off only a few more bandits before the main threat revealed itself. Some bandits were still in his kill range, but he decided to let them go and instead had his eyes fixed on the new threat, his posture unwavering; a Fomorian. As the Queen addressed him, he only gave her a quick nod in affirmation. Of course, he always was gonna help them orders or not.

"Niall was it? I'm counting on you, even if we've not met. Our Queen has pretty good decision making so if she trusts you well."

Even if he wanted to answer that, the young knight was already engaging the foe the moment she finished talking. Observing the scene, Niall took a step back. A quick look around the coming battlefield allowed him to see what course of action the magic user was taking. With Luna charging the enemy head on, Niall's inability to use The Eye of Night because of his allies and their Queen having taken no action as of yet, it left him with one obvious thing to attempt. Niall was well aware of Fomorians strength and this one seemed tall, strongly built and very able. Not knowing his exact reach, the Own Knight decided to play it safe.

Summoning Gwdihw's air magic, Niall used enhanced speed to dash in a direction, giving their enemies a wide berth. Having judged from what side Fio's sword would hit and knowing Luna was up front, Niall plan was to use his speed and accuracy to flank the Fomorian and strike at the very same time as the flying swords of the magic user would. He certainly had the speed and skills to do it - the only thing he was unsure of was their foes ability to counter.

The attack of Yui's ghostly peer threw the shade off balance, causing her own attack to pierce it instead of entangling it like Yui initially wanted. This startled her and took her off guard as she did not like 'killing' shades. Yui would normally just...make them disappear, using her own powers for that. She was soon brought out of her saddened state by the sword-wielding girl who seemed startled herself as well as angry at them.

All of the present magical girls kind of walked, flew or ran closer together, so Yui skipped down to them as well, but made the last few steps closer a bit slower, out of hesitation, as well as holding her BellFlower wand tighter and closer to her. She, too, was not yet used to others like her.

Remaining silent and almost motionless for the time being, Yui's eyes were fixed on Ukiko as she disappeared and moved around, seemingly completely sure of herself. She even interiorly cheered with Ukiko when she raised her fist, not bringing herself to do it alongside her for real. Her familiar, Bura-Bura, as well as the whole scene between them made Yui smile and keep in a laugh with a hand before her mouth.

"Hm....I.."

“I bid you all a pleasant evening, fellow magical girls! I’d first like to say that the tag team combo displayed earlier was most superb! I’d expect nothing less from my fellow shade bashers. As for who I am, allow me to properly introduce myself.”

As Yui was about to introduce herself, an extremely energetic girl walked up and took the spotlight before anyone probably could even notice shy little Yui even attempted to say anything. She did not mind in the slightest though, as her eyes shined looking up at the newcomer, her face sporting a very invested look. She bought everything 'Crimson Wing' was selling. Yui had to take one or two step away to avoid the burning wings, though.

It was only then that she mustered what courage she could to take a step forward and clear her throat. All of these girls looked more experienced than her, without mentioning clearly older too, and Yui was at that stage where she would cross to the other sidewalk to avoid older teenagers. That being said, she planted her Bellflower wand in the ground and made a quick and polite bow.

"Hello everyone, my name's Yui !" she said smiling as she got back up...only to realize how short of an introduction that was. As it dawned on her that she may have come off as uninteresting, she scrambled to find other things to say

"...Hum...T-the Evergreen Magical Girl, that i-is..." avoiding their eyes, she turned to Kana and added "Sorry about your friend, we just wanted to help. Is she hurt? I, hum...I can help if that's the case."

"Needless to say, I suggest you keep your distance."

So - that was what Tomi felt hanging in the air then. Atsuha pretty much confirmed it. Tomi felt like answering and telling her that Skarsneek wandering eyes chose by themselves to check the Dragon out but, in a surprising bit of restraint, she didn't.

It wasn't long after that farewells were exchanged and that the group split up to reach each objectives. During the way, Tomi remained mostly silent if not for a complaint here and there about walking so far and not being able to rest. She otherwise entertained herself with Atsuha's obvious interest in Skarsneek and also by studying Hinami. Tomi being Tomi, she didn't care too much to study the members of her group until they were her immediate companions. Now that they were close together, there indeed seemed to be something off with Hinami, as Skarsneek pointed out. They would have to wait and see.

Like the rest of the group, their arrival at the estate was an immediate bring back to the reality.

"What tragedy." Tomi said to the scenery. "Look at all this...so much dead, so much waste. I wonder if one of them could have made a suitable ma-"

Tomi's statement was a bit over dramatic, but she did feel for the humans dying. Of course, being a Monster and all, her mind was a bit twisted and may have wondered too easily to the wrong reasons for grief. This might be why she was picked off as the target of their sudden aggressor - or maybe not. The fact was, Tomi felt the kick on her head and barely had the time to use her tail to keep herself on her feet and bring both hands to where she was kicked.

"Ow ow ow ow ow!" she exclaimed taking a step back. "What was that for?!"

Skarsneek and Atsuah all very quickly interjected and had quick exchange with the human, but Tomi was...angry. Her golden eyes begun shining brighter. Between Shizuka giving her a tough time, Atsuha obviously looking down on her and the walk leading to here having exactly ZERO naps, Tomi had it. She was tired and angry and not in the mood for talks. She brought one foot forward and must have seriously thought about it, but then Hinami spoke up.

"Skars-kun, Nee-san, there's no need for this. We came here to aid these people, not to fight them!"

Tomi hesitated for half a second before turning her face away and unleashing a torrent of flames upon the nearby ruins of a building, an angry draconic roar accompanying the river of fire that left her body. When it was done, the already ruins wouldn't have much left that wasn't pulverized by the blast or left burning. Tomi then adjusted her posture straight, cleared her throat to bring back her usual voice and calmly said;

"Can't we just drop our weapons, have a talk and finally go have a nap?"

Roku was already in a state of confusion and distress at her new situation. Her travels were not made easier by Lunatea's attired which kept...flashing them? She tried keeping a straight face about it, though. As for their other companion...she was weird in her own terrifying way. At least, she didn't make any move against Roku's Lord.

Roku also kept to herself, not daring to speak too much. She felt a change in her, which scared her. She also felt her Lord's wandering eyes but did not know what to make of it. He thoughts were quickly brought back to matters of which she was used to; War. Before them was a Vajran camp.

“Do you want to die? No amount of honor is worth it if you lose your life achieving it in the process.”

As Lunatea charged, Roku followed in her footstep, adding "If you think that, then you do not know our customs at all, monster." She had wanted to say that they welcome an honorable death, but...it felt wrong to say when she was standing here alive - or kind of. While her companions were rotting on the beach.

Nevertheless, Roku's attacks also found their mark. Her sword left her scabbard and deflected hit after hit, each deflection leading to a fatal slash of her Katana. As she was cutting her way through whatever enemies came her way, Roku kept an eye on Takeshi to make sure her lord was safe, and being ready to take an arrow for him if need be.

It was true that they welcomed an honorable death...but surely Takeshi knew how suicidal this charge was? She would have to find some way to inquire when this was over.

Niall had been traveling for some time before he reached his destination; Lightsword territory. After having received words from the Queen Sorcha and coordinates for a meetup with herself and her knights, Niall wasted not a minute and was on his way. For months prior he had been traveling the land, helping those in need and killing those foul creatures or deserving humans as needed killing, making a name for himself. He could've continued like this, but the offer he received...it was an opportunity to do more.

Niall arrived at destination for some time now, and managed to jump atop one of the fort's tower without being noticed. Sun was setting by the time he spotted the Queen in the distance - much further than a normal human would have spotted her, most probably. What he did not spot was the Bandits that prepared to attack this fort. They did so before the Queen was in earshot of the battle, and while Niall could've jumped in he refrained from doing so to try and time himself with the arriving reinforcement and maximize the effect of surprise on the bandits. The Lightsword were more than able to hold their own for a short time still, it seemed like.

With the brash female knight charging into the fray, it was time. From the top of the tower, Niall braced his lance and crouched before launching himself downward at incredible speed. In a flash, his Lance found it's mark in a bandit that, whether he would have succeeded or not, was about to attack Leo's back. The speed and energy of Niall's landing made him slide towards another opponent, still crouched. It was a second before the second bandit realized what happened and looked down to strike the Owl Knight, but the Lance parried the sword away and cut the bandit down in one fluid motion. Standing back at full height, Niall braced Eye of Night at the ready, facing any bandits that were facing him.

From beneath his helmet, a cold yet assured voice called out; "My name is Niall Ulchabhán. Those of you who wish to die, come at me. Those who wish to live, drop your weapons."
