Alright, edited the timeskip into my last post. Everyone's free to move again, then.
Melia

As Melia watched Lorand and his warg grow farther and farther away, a small sigh left her lips as she glanced at the ground below. There were so many questions to have answered, so many problems to resolve... And all in the first few hours of her entry into this world. To say it was unexpected would be an understatement; an incident this soon into whatever the hell caused such a phenomenon was only adding fuel to the flames.

So... Why was she so excited about all of this?

This world, one that she had come to learn the ins and outs of, was also incredibly dangerous. She'd died many times in the past, so she could attest to that danger, and it wasn't unlikely that others would think likewise. But being here? In the flesh? That was probably infinitely more dangerous than what she had encountered before. It also made death all the more frightening. A 'normal' death probably wouldn't be likely here; she'd have been much more likely to die in more horrifying and gruesome ways, which... Well, Melia pushed those thoughts out of her mind instantly.

Of course, that led her back to her initial plan: gathering information. Shore up enough adventurous people, and it wasn't too much of a stretch to try and spin the workings of this world into a journey of her own. Was that why she was so anxious about this all...?

Lost in her thoughts, Melia almost lurched out of her seat when her pegasus descended upon a grassy knoll. Lorand wasn't too far off, at the very least; with his warg standing nearby, the armored man seemed to be lecturing a... Fairy of sorts. Was that what he had been in such a rush about?

"We're he-" Melia began to say, but stopped as she watched the hot-blooded girl go off to hug her sister (or, well, what Melia assumed to be as such). However heartwarming the scene was, the now-group of five had bigger problems to worry about: namely, how to go about moving with this squad now. As far as she could see, Lorand had to keep taps on the fairy (if his reaction was anything to go by), and the two sisters would, given their most recent statements, would probably be inseparable. Regardless of the constraints that placed on the party, though, there was one more pressing matter.

"Uh... So, this is all nice and dandy, and I hate to put a damper on your guys' mood right now, but I just realized that unless we get really lucky with the inns on the continent, we're not going to have a place to sleep in tonight. You guys got any ideas? Because I really don't want to sleep in a tent outside tonight."

Repeating the same statement in Japanese so that the two sisters could understand, Melia rode her steed closer to look at the names of the characters as a whole. The fairy's name, Amelia... That could become a nuisance, differentiating between herself and this fairy. Maybe using her actual name could help...?

To say nothing of Yuki's younger sister's name, though. It sounded like something a grade-schooler would think of...
I'll toss it to a vote, then. What say you guys?
Quite, quite.

I was hoping for the bunny to move so we could take action in the city, but *shrug*
Isn't that basically saying the same thing? lol

But yeah, I think that if you want to go have the duel while the others clean up the fight at the bandit hideout, be my guest.
If everyone's fine with going back to town, I'll dial the clock ahead to the next day. Otherwise, I'll handle whoever's deciding to otherwise.
Takeyoshi Sakujima- 建物の屋上で

The tengu rolled his eyes at the little girl's demands for candy. That kind of request probably wouldn't have been much of a deal if he was a banker, if only to please a child, but with a complete lack of any sort of funding, that sort of thing was going to be impossible without actually MAKING the damn candy.

"Uh... Money. Let me get some money, and then we'll talk," Takeyoshi replied, a deadpan expression on his face as the bunny girl from the room came bursting onto the roof from... Somewhere. Right. He had forgotten about her; to be fair, though, there was enough to worry about with his gathering of allies. One more wouldn't hurt, right?

"...Yes, we came up here to escape whatever it was that was causing the mass freakout down on the ground. Though, to be fa-
Oh, son of a bitch."

Takeyoshi's words were (coincidentally) apt, given the group of hellhounds that were now gunning for their faces. Then, the unthinkable happened.

The luchador leaped off the fucking building and back into the crowd.

So now here they were, a little girl in oversized clothing, a tengu with absolutely no offensive power whatsoever, and a rabbitgirl.
Facing down a bunch of hellhounds.
And their biggest defender had thrown himself back into the fire.

"...So. Run or fight?" he asked, beads of sweat popping up on his face as he slowly backed up from the encroaching beasts. "I vote run. Because, you know, I'm pretty sure that going to a place with fewer people is going to just get us killed faster. Unless, y'know, you two have some kind of instakill skill for this sort of thing. Then I'm all ears."

Seriously, what kind of a sick joke was this place?! Even if he had been tossed into this mess, this was NOT what he had signed up for!
Granted, he had expected to start off from the bottom and be fully reincarnated and smoothly work from there, but not THIS!

Blazers is kinda doing quick self-intros ('cept for the coward that just jumped in), so I think a bit of progression is prob fine whenever.
Liu bit his lip as Kyang and Torako berated him, the latter more indirectly than the former. He couldn't say that he was in the right; as fast as it was, something as sadistic as what he did would never be looked upon with praise, only scorn and disdain. But so long as it had gotten the job done, then for the moment it would do.

"I don't want to do it again. Don't worry," Liu said, his voice as heavy as his heart. "But it seemed like the most efficient way to get things done. Beating him back into unconsciousness would only waste more time, and given how bandits tend to act, I assumed that he'd be more apt to bite off his own tongue than be imprisoned for his crimes."

It was a flimsy justification, if nothing else, but that was the best way Liu could rationalize the whole ordeal. Xin's comment prompted a bitter smile from him, but it didn't help his mental state as much as the hunter had hoped it would.

"I know, but... You were injured from your earlier battle, and making you do any more work would just feel insensitive. Then again, I did just torture a man into submission, so what do I know about 'insensitive'?" Liu asked in response, a small, half-hearted laugh following soon after. "But no, any more fighting tonight will probably be too dangerous. You need to get healed and rest, and I need to get my shoulder checked out. We can get local enforcement sent over to check everything out here, and that should net us at least some reward. We can tie up any remaining loose ends tomorrow; at the very least, we can reclaim the looted goods, if not take out their boss."

Looking once more at the decapitated bandit's body, Liu grimaced and, drawing his jian once more, cut the vines binding the body in place. Leaving the body desecrated to that extent... There was only so far he could go before his own conscience started trying to shoot back.

"I'm going to head back to town; the longer that whatever's in my shoulder is stuck there, the more dangerous it is to my body. I'd hate to think that it was blocking a qi pathway or something similar."

Without another word, Liu placed the jian back into its sheath and began the trek back to Mingdu. After today, he really needed a good night's sleep to shrug this off. His mind, however, spoke otherwise.

The village, when he and the others returned, was just about ready to turn in for the night. The guards, of course, were shocked at the amount of blood on the group, but after a quick explanation and the rest, a few of the guards went to check the site for themselves. Excusing himself (and Xin) from the group after everyone was safely inside the town, the young hunter directed the martial artist towards to school for treatment as he himself went there. With Kyang's financial situation somewhat alleviated, he hoped that she could at least foot the bill for her own room that night.

Treatment went by quickly but painfully; only a dull painkiller was applied, so his wound was opened, the offending object removed (it WAS an arrowhead piece, after all), and subsequently healed. Told to stay overnight just in case of poisons or anything of the sort, Liu obliged; after all, he'd have to be as in-shape as possible for the fight tomorrow.

Liu was, by some chance or circumstance, able to sleep through the night without incident. Though the events of last night had weighed heavily on him, the whole experience had been tiring enough to knock him right out after the treatment had concluded. Testing his arm once more for mobility, Liu nodded before looking at his own uniform. Well, it wasn't as if he needed to be wearing it any more...

Taking a moment to switch sets of clothing, the hunter walked of the infirmary, if only to check the position of the sun in the sky.

Sunrise.

Would the others even be awake by now...?
