Mika listened to what Dean was saying, sighing slightly as she nodded at his words. It was true, she did bolt faster than was probably necessary but when didn't she? She was playing a dangerous game with Dean and she knew it. At his apology about his dad, she shook her head as if to say 'don't sweat it', it wasn't his fault his dad came in and cut everything short after all. Even if she was slightly thankful for it as it meant she didn't have to risk bumbling through all her lies to try and make Dean drop the subject. A subject that she knew better than either of them, he would never drop. She tried to look at him the entire time he was talking or moving but it was difficult and every few seconds she found herself looking down at the ground, at her feet instead.

Hearing that the case was a vampire case, she nodded once again. She knew as well as any hunter that it really was a case of either or and very very rarely if ever, in between. It always depended on the strength of the nest and how many there were. The fact she had no information on the case they were here for made it difficult for her to judge but the idea of Dean possibly dying on a vampire case didn't sit well with her at all and she tempted to face John to make her go along to make sure she had Dean's back. He may have saved her ass plenty of times, but the same could be said for the other way round as well. She would never admit it, but if they did team up, they worked well together.

Yet it was the moment he shoved the note in her face that made her properly look up at him and lean her head back slightly so the words she had previously written on it didn't blur into a smudgy mess. His demand in wanting answers in person with no lies put her on edge but she kept up the charade that it wasn't getting to her on the outside. Seeing him well up, the pain and longing for answers in his eyes ripped her heart apart, if she was anyone else she would just come clean here and now, but she felt she was in too far deep to do so. "I don't know what to tell you... I'm as in the dark about this as you are. Maybe she is haunting you or watching out for you... Maybe she got issues with her cousin sleeping with you.. I don't know, but we both know that there's no way a human can survive that kind of wendigo attack" she said back. Hell, she still didn't fully understand how she survived that fateful night, even now.

"but if she is haunting you? Do you really want to treat her like some kind hunt? She's not a monster Dean." she then said.

"dad can I go to the vending machine for some snacks and a drink?" Sam asked, rubbing his hands down the front of his face as he tried to give his eyes a break from reading, with the agreement, he took the money and headed out of the room and went to the nearest vending machine to the room, where he spotted a young girl standing there already. "hey" he said awkwardly, letting her finish getting what she wanted whilst he tried to decide from where he was, what he wanted himself. He had no idea who she was, but she was someone around his age and the fact that Dean didn't want to be near him or their dad because he was angry at John, he figured it wouldn't hurt to briefly talk to someone his age.
If Chas had heard what John said about the guilt of the past, he would have commented about how John needed to actually practice what he preached, but luckily for John Chas wasn't in the room and didn't hear what he said. Instead he was listening to the nurse and nodded, "thanks, I'll let them know" he replied, then walked away, pulling his phone out and giving Renee a quick text to say he'll be late but it's for a very valid reason as John is in hospital.

Kay sighed and nodded, "I know" she replied back to him. "I hope so too, we all need a break from everything. I've almost forgotten what a normal life is" she said back to him, a slight snigger escaping her at her last words. She then looked up when she heard a knock on the doorframe and it was Chas, "spoken to a nurse and it seems it could be a few days you're both in here for. Depends what the doc will say in the morning when he comes in to check on you both" he explained. "just thought I'd give you the heads up, now to tell Serena. Either of you need anything? I can do a trip to grab food or drinks after seeing Serena" he offered.

"I can go in a bit. You stay with Serena, she seems to be struggling" Kay offered.
Mika couldn't stop the small and 'blink and you miss it' brief smirk that crept onto her lips when he finally aswered the door and stammered about what he wanted to say. She got what he was hinting at and honestly, she was half tempted to just not come and find her own hotel to stay in, or stay with Ethan and not even make the drive at all. "I thought about not coming...but I guess my actions surprise both of us" she commented back, stepping inside when he gave room for her to do so. She saw there was at least two beds in the room, but she was well aware that that never meant they slept in their own beds before. THey were chaotic and complicated and almost always ended up sleeping together, whether that was sexually or just crashing out side by side because neither could take falling asleep alone. She chucked her bag on the floor by the table and chair that was in the room and turned on her heel to face him.

"So why did you want me to come here? Can't be just solely because of the case you guys clearly have here as you've given me absolutely no info on it." she said to him, her tone slightly more abrupt than she wanted it to sound but her body language luckily was a lot more casual than her tone. She leaned against the table and crossed one foot over the other whilst placing her hands down on the table top. She glanced around at the room and saw it was clearly one he booked for himself to keep his dad and brother out of his hair which made her think that their last phone call caused an arguement or some kind of altercation between him and his dad. A tiny flicker of guilt flashed in her mind that because of her secrets, her actions with Dean, it was causing such rifts with his family. Sure John wasn't a perfect father to the boys and there was always rifts going on but she wasn't so naiive to not realise some of it was because of her actions.
Kay could see like John did that Serena was muttering to herself for whatever reason and hadn't forgotten about the woman's lost love. She might not be able to fully understand what that must feel like, but she did feel sorry for her. "She's not alone, she has us" she corrected him before looking at him in the eyes when he told her she didn't need to feel bad again. "Well I was hardly going to leave you both in there to die now" She said, "But I'll try and not feel bad about it, not making any promises though" she said with a light smile.

Chas found a nurse just sitting at the station and not acknowledging him at all, so he made a coughing noise to get her attention, "Excuse me. Can you tell me how long John Constantine and Serena will be expected to remain in here please?" he asked, wanting answers so he can head back to Serena whilst also giving a text to his family in the process.
Like with every drive, this one was long boring and tiring. With only her cassette tapes for company Mika found the long drive incredibly lonely but she was also strangely used to it. It was after all her chocie to do all this alone and not just come clean to the Winchesters with who she was. Truth she wasn't just terrified of how Dean and Sam would react, but also John. Would their father see her now as the kind of girl who he didn't want anywhere near his sons, or would he scold her like a daughter of his? or even worse would he shower her with relief that she was infact alive and smother her, whilst giving his condolenses about her parents deaths. She wasn't sure she would be able to cope with either scenario, not to mention John would probably go absolutely ballistic at Bobby for keeping her secret from them all all this time.

It took her what felt like forever to get to Minnesota, she was tempted to have stopped for a break at one point but she didn't, instead finding the nearest drive thru she could on route and got herself a coffee on the go. It was during that break in the queue that she got Dean's text and looked at it sighing. Now he was the one giving her the hotel room and name with offers, which strangely made her smirk slightly. She gave him a text back, again in as short hand as possible due to driving, 'still on road, ETA 1hour dep.on traffic. Kenzi.'

Eventually after what felt like hours in total but only the remaining one hour she said in her text she managed to find herself in Minnesota and after a little bit of driving around, she found the hotel in question instantly spotting John's car which made her drive round the other parking lot round the back to be out of sight and pull up. Turning the engine off she looked in her mirror and wondered why she was doing this. "Mika you are a glutton for punishment I swear.." she told herself, before folding up her sun shield, putting her keys in her jacket and swiping her white hair up and back off her face. With some extra self motivation to leave the car she got out, grabbed her bag and phone and headed to room 320, knocking on the door.
MIKA, NATALIA AND SAM

Mika couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when Benjamin started muttering about what he was seeing in his vision, wondering what the hells he was on about. Wings? On Dean? That was to her the most obsurd thing she had ever heard. If it was her benjamin was tlaking about she sort of could see it, but with Dean she couldn't at all. She didn't know if said vision was to be about the future or what, but it was certainly curious even if they didn't have a moment free to truly think about it. As Dean glacned at her with a smirk after his dragon or something comment, she couldn't help but match his smirk before letting it disappear from her her face and return the seriousness of the situation at hand. "Dean's right, get some rest in a room that won't have one or several of us constantly chatting and disturbing you. Like he said, it could just be stress related or something" she suggested.

Sam felt Annabeth's grip get tighter which made him turn properly to face her and place his free hand ontop of hers to try and relax her and calm her down, sensing that she was getting severely anxious, something that he knew if either of the girls could understand, it would be Natalia in particular, but both would be able to sympathise with Annabeth. "It'll be okay I promise. You've already met Nat and as much as she acts all hard, she's a softie really and Mika is like another sister to me. You can trust them both, I promise. I won't let you be left alone with Dean. I'll just be in this room but on the other side of the wall there in the other half of the room." he explained to her, gesturing exactly where he would be. When she said that she would go with the girls, he nodded and gave her reassuring smile. "You'll be safe with them both and I'll be right back" he said once more before gently peeling her hand off of his arm.

"He's right, you can trust us" Natalia replied walking up to Annabeth, "And if you ever get scared by Deano there we'll put him in his place. If he listens to anyone it'll be Mika. You've seen for yourself how much he calms down when she's there" Natalia smirked kindly, trying to make some smart ass quip to try and lighten the mood. She then looked at Esme "You wanna hang around here with us or what? I'm aware I probably interrupted you're moment of break back in Sioux Falls" she commented, partly feeling bad for that.
Yeah totally. Doesn#t help im a natural red head and fair skinned XD!
@FuriePhoenix
Living in Texas, I can relate. It can get so hot here and with stomach pain on top of that, it can become almost unbearable.

Yup, we've had such a shit spring and then literally overnight we got summer hot weather and its been horrible.

ALso, @ActRaiserTheReturned just encorporate your note in your next post and explain it in that, rather than in the brakcets on the ic thread. We don't need to know everything before hand
NATALIA, SAM AND MIKA

Sam could feel symapthy and empathy for Annabeth, no matter how much he felt he had changed emotionally since he lost Dean in those four months. "I am...was..I don't really know to be honest. I've not had visions for a while" he replied to Annabeth but he did know that if he drank demon blood, particularly from Ruby then he could exorcise demons with his mind like her, but he wasn't going to go into that just yet with his brother, sister and someone who he practically considered a sister-in-law even though Mika wasn't, he was close enough to her to see her as such. He looked over at Cason when he just had to interrupt what they were talking about, him deciding that he was going to leave this confrontation to Annabeth and not insert himself, like Cason felt was necessary. He got taken aback ever so slightly when Annabeth eventually walked back to him and held onto his arm for protection, but he got what she was doing and didn't try to shake her off or the sort. What he did find utterly curious was it seemed that Cason was clearly getting genuinely emotional over it all and before they could stop him, he let himself out of the room.

Natalia was about to go stop Cason from possibly doing something stupid, not knowing if he was going to teleport or make an attack move, but it was too late. He was gone and Dean was beyond pissed off about it. "Don't yell at her Dean, the girl didn't even know the guy was a demon until just before we left for here today. It's not like any of us a 101 manual for every single demon in the universe is it?" she told him back, knowing that no matter how angry they were over everything and how few answers they had gotten, directing their anger onto Annabeth was not the route to take. She sighed wondering what the hell to do now, when Benjamin spoke up with his thoughts out loud to them all and she found herself shrugging. "Well our family still need answers for what brought Dean back from Hell, Something tells me Cason won't be running off to any bosses. He's a smartass, snarky son of a bitch but there's definitely more to him than just being a demon lacky to someone else." she remarked.

Mika nodded at everyting that was being said by everyone. She didn't believe for a moment that it'd be the last time they'd see Cason, she also didn't think he was the type to be a blind dumb lacky for someone else. he had too much snark to be that kind of demon in his eyes, but whatever angle he was playing she couldn't figure out just yet. She tried to keep Dean calm in her own way by walking up to him and attempted to slowly and softly remove his gun from his hand for everyone's sake. What she wasn't expecting was Benjamin to suddenly hold his head and ask for Dean. "I think what we need to do, is have Dean and Sam talk in private and us lot sort out everything else and try and see what's happening with this guy-" she said, gesturing at Benjamin. "I agree, I need to speak to my brother...alone" Sam agreed, before glancing down at Annabeth, "You can stay with Nat and Mika. They're trustworthy" he told her softly. He would have added Esme but quite frankly he personally still didn't know who she truly was, only Dean did and Dean hadn't acknowledged their past yet.
Mika kept looking at Ethan wondering what was taking the guy so long to answer her, but evetually she saw him start to open his mouth to actually talk. "What's going on between you and this Dean guy?" he finally asked, despite needing to be downstairs as his client was due in any moment now. "It's a complicated and long story Ethan, one that you don't have time to hear because you have a client to see. But to give you some answer for the time being, he dated my cousin when they were teenagers and a childhood close friend before then" she explained, keeping up the lie she told Dean over the phone. "oh...right" Ethan simply replied nodding whilst scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "It's complicated because my cousin died at eighteen years old and I guess he just never got over it" she added, hoping that next piece of information would be enough to get him off of her back. She really wasn't in the mood for talking about her past with the guy, no matter how much she did care about him.

"I'm sorry for asking, I'll leave you be" Ethan finally said going back downstiars where indeed his first client of the day had walked inside and was waiting for him to appear. Mika on the other hand stayed upstairs in the apartment part of the shop and sighed. "damnit Mika..." she cursed to herself quietly, before noticing her phone buzzing with a text message. Grabbing it she saw that Dean was texting her the co-ordinates of the case the Winchester family were clearly on their way to. "Dean...one day you gotta stop sending me these" she said to herself before she put the co-ordinates into her gps and saw they were heading to Minnesota. "Hmm...that's a long endless drive from here. But doable enough. No...Mika don't even think about it...you need to break yourself from him...it's not fair on Ethan.." she argued with herself, desperate to convince herself to not jump into her car and follow them to Minnesota. "Bloody hells..." she sighed knowing it was pointless and instantly grabbed her stuff from Ethan's bedroom and grabbed her jacket from the back of his bar chair. Just like she did with Dean, in the hopes the mysterious note would keep him from giving up figuring it all out, she left one for Ethan:
Ethan,
I'm sorry to leave you like thism but I got a job to go to in Minnesota,
I'll be back as soon as I can be
Kenzi

With the note written down, she headed downstairs and left out the back and out of sight, into her car and she was gone. She didn't give herself time to think about what she was doing because she knew if she did? She would regret every single action, try and stay with Ethan and try and get out of the hunting business, but she knew deep down she just couldn't. She couldn't leave Dean like that, especially as far as he was aware she already had. She sent a quick text to Dean back with her usual short hand reply saying 'on my way' before putting her phone down on the passenger seat beside her, turned her music on and drove to where Dean needed her to be.
