Star Ocean is just an okay series. Ive always found Spyro Overrated. Soul Calibur 2 is better than the first one in every way. Resident Evil 2 is actually very forgettable when put against, 3, Zero and the REmake. Rouge Squadron is a great by star wars standards but just decent by any other standard. The rest are legit I guess.

I'd put 2011 and 1997 above your year.

Yeah thats totally what I didnt say. Im not talking abiut being let down by a game you thought would be good. Im talking about shit talking a game you that you will play despite the bitching. Worse when they spend money.

Like how the remember how the entire internet was in uproar when disney aqquired the rights to marvel, or when they found out jj abrahams would be directing the 7th star wars movie, you can bet they coughed up their cash just like everyone else and supported the project despite the bitching.

Maybe its sort of warped self reverse psychology hype to keep your expectations low in the hope youll be proven wrong. Like how you implied the new god of war would be bad but you ended up giving it a 3/5.

Don't be dramatic, we also agree on Far Cry 2 being praised out of spite of Far Cry 3 and.....Dante being cringe. I think that's it.

Underrated:

As far as well balanced, technically pure fighting games go. Virtua fighter is top tier, I think just for whatever reason the characters didn't catch on well as household names like SF MK and Tekken did. I think it also has that odd aesthetic of being similar to DOA (even though it came first) but more bland and stripped down visually which means nobody has a reason to go and pick it up. But this game is so damn smooth and responsive. It's one of the few 3D fighting games that isn't Tekken or Soul Calibur 2 that does it right.

Ah, you'll always find people like that trying to cause provocation. That's the thing, I've been playing War Thunder and Hearts of Iron IV for a fair bit of time and I've never really encountered people like that. At worst, you see Wehraboos but that's about as alt-right as I've seen it get. For the most part though, it's just people who have an interest in the time period just dicking around. Games like HoI are an excellent way of testing out what-if scenarios. Least that's how I've always seen it.

Yeah I agree, I've not seen anything overt in those communities, but For Honor is something else. It's not just the emblems its, the rabid defense of anything white nationalist and then complaining about things like a black gladiator. Granted this is only what i've seen on Reddit.

No its more of an internal community thing. A few edgelords like to have swastikas as their emblem. When it get's discussed on reddit, the large number of alt right type opinions get exposed. Its shocking to some people because the idea is that people who fetishize white nationalism usually gravitate to games like HOI, Crusader Kings and War Thunder. But For Honor accidentally has the aesthetics there to attract them too.
