It was nice to have the fighting stopped before anyone was really injured. Takeshi looked between the two parties, both his friends and his former squad, wondering just how this was going to work. Both needed something out of this, two totally conflicting things that could not possibly work. Somehow they had to compromise on this or find a new solution entirely, easier said than done. Sighing to himself once everyone was settled on the ground he folded his arms across his chest, looking down at his feet with his brow pulled together. "Right... I guess now we talk..." he mumbled, mouth twisting at the corner in thought. There had to be a way to help his squad with their issue. The biggest driving force in their dilemma was their families being held captive. If that could somehow be struck from the equation then there would be no need for this mission of theirs, and no reason to swear loyalty to his damned father any longer.

"They need to pay for what they did to me..." Yumi mumbled, managing to keep her voice from breaking. Tears had stopped, though her cheeks were still wet and glistening from those that had already fallen. She had to get some of this out, but with no outlet available she could only hope it would dissipate after a while. Still feeling Vegeta's arms around her she stepped out of them carefully, managing a weak smile as she nodded gratefully to him, wiping her cheeks and eyes with the heels of her hands. "Thank you... I needed that." Looking away towards Takeshi and the other Saiyans she became a bit bothered once more, but keeping it together this time she walked to the elder brother's side, shaking off Vegeta trying to stop her as she came face to face with her former captors. "I'm not forgiving you guys, just so that's clear..." Yumi stated, holding her head up while staring them down steadily. "But... If my friends want to do this another way then I'll let them, just don't expect me to be sympathetic towards you."

"Don't worry Yumi, they don't need your sympathy," Takeshi piped in, looking at his friend sternly before softening up slightly with a small smile. "Please let me handle this? You don't know what we've talked about before, and you don't understand the situation, aside from wanting to get back at them. You'll get yours when we reach Kortal eventually, but until then you've got to let it go." Letting that sit for a moment he watched the conflicted and torn look onn Yumi's face for a moment, knowing full well how she felt. If he had been wronged like this he'd be in the same boat. Hell, even now knowing that she had been made to suffer too had him a bit angry, but their blame was misplaced if put on his squad. They were collaborators, sure, but by force, not by choice. When no qualms from the Beastman came up he smiled slightly, nodding his head and looking at the trio before him. "All right... First I need to know what's going on at home. How is my father handling the war with the rebels, do you know?"

"Of course we know, it's basically all you hear about when in the palace," Kabocha explained, rolling his eyes in exasperation. "From what I understand your old man is confident that he can still win easily, but that attack on his base has him riled up. And even better yet is your little rebel friends have sparked something of a frenzy in the galaxy." Seeing the puzzled look on both Takeshi's and the others faces he smirked, raising an eyebrow in question. "You hadn't heard? Other races are catching wind of the rebellion making some dents now, and other places are sprouting up to do the same. 'Course they won't be nearly as effective, but now Yamate has all these little bits of trouble to deal with. Last we spoke to him he was pretty pissed. So to answer your question he's deploying people to deal with the uprisings, but it's getting to be a bigger and bigger problem."

Takeshi had no idea about other groups taking up arms, and he was pretty sure Korian hadn't a clue either, at least not when they last spoke. Hearing that his father was scrambling to keep his stolen empire together was satisfying, but also just what they needed. Smiling he looked over towards Shu, going to his brother's side and looking to Viral as well. "Guys... Did you hear that? Sounds like the king is having problems, which means Kortal ought to be hurting for manpower right about now..."
"Takeshi? What are you thinking? We can't go to the Saiyan world. Even with people missing it's still a suicide mission." Vegeta didn't like where this was heading. If a proposed attack on the Saiyan home planet just to free these kids' families was to happen they'd need way more man power than they had. "I guess it's a good thing that the Saiyan's are a little flustered, but how does that help us?"

"Because, it means that father will be busy with something else to worry about a few cooks and some second-rate noble." Giving Kabocha a look to keep him quiet the older boy smiled thoughtfully, grabbing his brother's hand and tapping his nose to get his undivided attention. "Shu... Think real carefully, okay? We need to get their parents out of the palace, quickly and without putting ourselves in danger. Who is someone we know that can do that for us?" It had to be someone who was strong enough to defend themselves in case of danger, and someone who could certainly keep the others safe. Also, it had to be someone already dead. "I'll give you a hint..." Takeshi whispered, chuckling as he poked his sibling's stomach, "He's your idol."
The little brawl they were having was quickly devolving into a simple shouting contest, everyone wanting to tear one another apart verbally. Oddly enough that was getting to Vegeta more than the actual fighting had been. These kids were going on about protecting their families, but they had no idea about what his life was. They were lucky, even if they didn't know it. After the twins gave their piece Vegeta started to laugh bitterly, covering his eyes with one hand as he reeled back slightly. "You're doing this all for your father...?" he asked, calming enough to look back at Kai and Choi, a hollow grin on his face. "Well that's sweet of you. I however don't have the same luxury, mine is dead. As is my mother." Becoming a bit somber at saying it he slumped slightly, feeling tired for some reason. "And all I've got are my friends now. At home I run a worldwide company, I hardly ever have any time. Priviliged, is having no family and no time to myself privileged? Is that free? You've got a brother, each of you, and a father still. Without my friends, who YOU are trying to steal, I'm alone. So don't you talk to me like I don't know how shitty life can be, because I DO know!"

"Enough of the sob stories already! No one's here to listen to a bleeding heart." Yumi shouted, getting a rather surprised look from both Vegeta and Takeshi. Her mind was set on one thing, and that was hurting the two boys in front of her. It had only been a week in Saiyan custody, but that week had been utterly miserable and painful. She wanted to make them feel even a fraction of that, whatever she could do. Glaring over at a crestfallen Vegeta she pointed furiously at the twins, gritting her teeth. "Fight them! Help me beat them already, quit your pissing contest!" It was unlike her to be this vicious or vindictive, but she couldn't help it right now. Something inside her was screaming to get out, and it was driving her mental, she had to lash out at something. When all her friend did was hang his head she looked instead to Takeshi, balling her hands into fists. "Well, are you going stand there gawking or help me out?!"

"Yumi... You need to stop..." Takeshi answered, looking just as dejected as Vegeta. This wasn't like her, he'd never seen her get this righteously furious before. The utter look of anger on her face was unsettling, it was like she was an entirely different person. Rather than indulge her desire for revenge he found himself quickly losing the desire to fight, opting to try and compromise again. If they went at one another like this than no one was going to win ultimately, and who knows, someone even might end up seriously hurt, or worse. Moving towards Yumi he watched her take a stance as if expecting to fight, instead placing himself in front of her with his arms stretched out to the sides, giving her a sad look. "They're not worth getting this angry over. Come on, just settle down..." Takeshi pleaded. He owed it to both his friends and to his former squad to stop them from fighting, since both had to ultimately be saved. Seeing that she wasn't backing down he got ready to block any attacks, but was surprised when something else happened.

Yumi was hardly paying any mind to Takeshi's pleas, her eyes still trained on Kai and Choi beyond him. Despite his protests she tried to move ahead and go after the twins, though was blocked off yet again. Looking up from the chest before her she saw Vegeta floating before her, giving her the same sad look that her other friend had. Growling she tried to move around him, livid when he followed her. "Get out of my way Vegeta! I need to do this!" she screamed, shaking from her pent up anger. He didn't say anything, only giving her that same sorry look as before. Why couldn't they just let her have this? These two were so content with fighting on their own, but now that she wanted to become involved it was wrong? Moving to strike Vegeta away Yumi stopped as she felt wetness on her cheeks, blinking in confusion for a moment before reaching up, feeling tears streaming out. Why was she crying over this? Looking at her dampened fingertips uncertainly she let out a soft gasp when Vegeta wrapped his arms around her, freezing as her arms hung limply at her sides. The fire was still in her, but it was slowly starting to dwindle down. "Why can't I do this...?" she mumbled, closing her eyes and halting the flow of tears fitfully, "Why can't I get even with them?"

"Because it's not what you want," Vegeta explained gently, giving a sad smile. He had realized something, even in the midst of his own ranting. These kids had no choice, they were being made to do this. If any of them were in the same situation he was positive they'd endanger a stranger in order to protect the ones they loved. And the quip about the twin's father, that was jealousy on his part. Vegeta wasn't alone though, not really, as he had an extended family that more than filled the void. A big part of that family was in his arms right now, looking rather lost and confused with herself. "You don't want revenge on them... You want to get to the king, we all do. And that's what we're going to do, yeah?" The brother's father was the one to blame for all of this, everyone else was in service due to fear of him. Cut the head off the snake and the rest follows, that was how they'd have to resolve this. Glancing over his shoulder at Kai and Choi before turning to Kabocha his expression hardened a bit, finally focusing on his friend in his arms once more. "Think we can talk now, guys?"

Kabocha gave Yumi a funny look, thinking the girl was a proper mental case for freaking out like that. Sure, things were a bit heated, but holy hell did she have to go off like that? Realizing he had been left hanging there in the air by himself the noble moved back towards the twins, looking at their former leader and his friends uncertainly. Vegeta and Takeshi both looked to want a truce now, competely disregarding the fact that such a thing was incredibly unlikely. They couldn't give up, their families were on the line if they failed. With the odds stacked against them now, it being a potential 4 on three, he knew better than to push their luck. "Dammit...! We're so dead..." Kabocha grumbled, crossing his arms and glaring at the group before them. "We don't have much of a choice guys... Fine, we'll talk." Worst case scenario coming to fruition the Saiyan had resigned himself to at least try this, lowering himself down to the ground as the rest of the group did the same. "Kai, Choi, let's go! We've got a deal to make."
Not unsurprisingly his attempts to injure either of the twins failed yet again, each attack countered or blocked easily. It was frustrating, but if he hoped to actually get anywhere he needed to reel in his anger. Easier said than done, espcially as he was kicked in the back and moved away, getting chased with a punch to the chin to boot. Gritting his teeth he lifted a hand to wipe at his mouth, glaring at Kai as he tried to chastise Vegeta. "You're not looking for another way either, you're just taking the easy route out!" he snapped, refusing to hear any of their justifications. "Why suffer yourselves when someone can do it for you, right? So long as your family is happy others can pay the price in their place!" If it was their friends or family on the line he was certain these kids would do the exact same thing, it was all a matter of perspective. Looking between the twins Vegeta was faced with the very real posibility that he was in a futile fight here, as he couldn't break through their teamwork on his own. And the only other viable fighter here was in his own battle.

"You might have been our leader before, but I've gotten stronger since then! I know I'm stronger than you now," Kabocha shouted, waving a hand dismissively, "And I'll prove it to you!" Hurrying in and closing the distance he threw a punch that was immediately blocked, trying a kick that had the same result. In turn he dodged a punch that was intended for his head, grabbing Takeshi's arm and throwing him over to try and make him vulnerable. When he turned to attack though he was surprised to see a Ki blast charged, unable to do much more other than block as the shot was fired, being pushed back towards the trees and crashing through the canopy into the ground. He barely managed to push it away, but the force of the attack alone had driven him off a fair bit. Wasting no time Kabocha countered with a blast of his own, flying towards Takeshi simultaneously to apply pressure. Like with the prince's though it was blocked, and ultimately deflected and sent careening into the sky above them. Both boys were deadlocked by the looks of it, which infuriated them both.

This was not what was supposed to be happening right now. Viral should be peacefully resting, and the rest of them enjoying themselves in the mean time. Yet again though their lives were being disrupted by Saiyans, with utterly no disregard for them at all. It was personal this time too, seeing as the ones in question were responsible for what had been done to her. Screeching through the sky at a high speed for a few moments the Beastman finally slowed, if only due to a sizable Ki blast exploding a few dozen meters ahead of them. Uncertain as to whether it was safe or not Yumi lingered for a moment, looking back at Shu to see how he was fairing. Another blast erupted a few seconds later, making her shirk back reflexively. They were either getting serious or testing one another, and for a secon she debated if she was even capable of competing with these boys. Of course she was, what a ridiculous notion that she wouldn't be. She'd have her friends to help too, this time was going to be different.

"You three need to leave, now! I'm not going to say it a second time!" Takeshi screamed, taking his eyes off of Kabocha briefly to look at the twins. "We won't let you take anyone, you're only wasting your time. I made a promise to you, but if you try hurting my friends then I say to hell with it, you're in the same boat as my father!" Not getting a chance to continue as Kabocha came at him for an attack he cursed under his breath, meeting fist with fist and knee with knee. They were being ridiculous, there wasn't any chance that they'd get either Viral or Yumi. Grappling with the other Saiyan he continued trying to get the upper hand, baffled as to how he wasn't overpowering his old squadmate. In the midst of their struggle matters were made even worse as two powers began approaching. Normally Takeshi would be glad to see them, but in the current situation neither Shu nor Yumi had any place here. Now he had to worry about both them and Viral too.

Diving right into the fight wasn't going to work, not while she was playing taxi. Without saying a word to either of her friends or even giving the Saiyans a glance she flew past everyone, landing before Viral and giving him a sad smile. "Hi..." she said gently, a bit upset to see him clearly exhausted. Now wasn't the time for doting on her friend though, there were far more pressing matters to see to. Sliding Shu down off of her back she looked at the little Saiyan tenderly, giving his head a gentle rub as she leaned over, coming eye to eye. "Listen to me Shu, this is important. Please keep Viral safe for me? I'm going to help your brother and Vegeta, and he's still recovering, so keep them away." Giving the monkey-boy a kiss on the forehead as thanks she immediately went back into the air, driving right on my Takeshi and taking a spot at Vegeta's side instead. Seeing the twins was rekindling her discontent towards them, her lip curling bag to reveal elongated canines threateningly. "Good... You didn't kill either of them yet..."
Yumi was ready to fly off as soon as Shu was on he back, eager to get into that fight. She recognized the three opposing energies, it was the group who had taken her and done this to her. Now though she had help, and come hell or high water she was going to make them pay for what had happened. Feeling the little monkey-boy clamber up onto her back she nearly darted off, instead stopping when he complained about the fruit they'd gotten. Sighing she licked up the basket, handing it off to Shu for him to carry instead of her having to balance it and him. "There, now please just hold on!" With his being unable to fly she had to take it upon herself to get him there, also making it nigh impossible to join the fray without setting him down first. With her own arms wrapped securely around Shu's legs she darted off into the air, flying in the direction of the battle hastily. Between herself, the boys and Vegeta these creeps were going to pay, big time.

Vegeta knew his anger was getting the best of him and clouding his judgment, but he could scarcely care at the moment. He just wanted to hurt one of these kids, badly. In an attempt to put them off balance he tried a false swipe, annoyed with himself as he failed to connect like he wanted. Instead he felt an elbow drive into the side of his head, coughing out a bit of phlegm and blood from the hard hit, staggering in mid-air as well. With an angry growl he lowered himself slightly, gathering a mass of Ki in the palm of his hand quickly and throwing a punch with the other. As an insurance policy if the other boy tried to interfere or if he was blocked he'd shoot the Ki, holding it for the time being.

Takeshi and Kabocha were going back and forth, hitting and blocking one another just about blow for blow. While the former was stronger he wasn't quite as desperate to win as Kabocha was, and so he was scarcely using his full strength. Whether the noble was or not hardly mattered, he was putting up more than enough of a fight. After having a punch narrowly skim his hair Takeshi got a kick right into his side, groaning painfully as it connected and immediately being punched upwards following suit. Being sent skyward he looked down to see Kabocha spiraling after him, forcing himself to stop in mid-air and instead shooting himself directly down at the other boy. When they got close enough Kabocha threw a punch, but the prince pushed the fist to the side and responded with a strong headbutt, wincing himself as he watched Kabocha back off, grasping at his head. Dashing in he slammed an elbow into the other boy's shoulder, knocking him down a few good meters. "You're not going to win idiot, just give up!"
Vegeta knew the odds were against him, but until Viral was seen to he had to tough it out. With three capable fighters to watch out for he couldn't possibly keep tabs on every single one, and sure enough one of the twins pulled a fast one and vanished from the rest of the group. Focusing on his energy the Saiyan spun around to face him, being caught utterly off guard as the other twin drove a foot into his back, kicking him right into his brother. From there he felt a heavy blow connect with his back, knocking him towards the ground once more at a fair speed. Trying to catch himself before crashing he barely managed to hover a few meters above the ground, but with Kabocha still a viable fighter he looked up only to get a glimpse of a Ki blast hurtling in his direction. Cursing at having no time to counter he balled up slightly, taking the brunt of the attack and finally being pressed down into the dirt. The blast exploded on contact, scattering dirt and various debris about and leaving a sizable hole in its wake. Vegeta was hardly down from that, but the ringing in his ears and the disorientation from tumbling left him lying there for a moment.

"A thank you would be nice..." Takeshi mumbled, smiling slightly as he tossed the cuffs away. So Yumi still had a damn tracking chip, and his former squad of all people had to be the ones to come collect. He was supposed to save them too, but not if it meant sacrificing another friend in the process. Watching as Vegeta soon found himself on the end of the twin's attack he knew he had to go help, sighing as he got to his feet. "We'll settle this, then deal with her chip. Take a breather, then give us a hand, yeah?" Turning and preparing to go in for an attack Takeshi was made to brace himself as a blast was fired, gritting his teeth while trying to block debris from hitting the tired Beastman. When the dust settled he glared up at the trio in the air, furious that they were going to such lengths. "Dammit, cut the crap!" he screamed, letting his power shoot up before dashing skyward in a fit of fury.

Kabocha wanted to blast the other Saiyan again, keep him pinned, but that wasn't going to happen. Instead he was made to face Takeshi again, though this time he would hardly be caught off guard. In a straightforward attempt at a punch the noble leaned to the side, grabbing Takeshi's shirt and driving a knee up into his gut. Trying to knock him down as well he gritted his teeth as his elbow was caught, getting a fair hit to his jaw that nearly sent him spinning. A follow up punch to the gut made him keel over painfully, and after gripping his gut he drove a shoulder into the prince's stomach, knocking him away before chasing him down, throwing a haymaker and knocking him further back. "So much for compromising, you jerk! You're just going to let our parents be killed then, huh?!"

Seeing that at least one of the Saiyans were busy Vegeta focused on the twins, forcing a smile as he got out of the hole he was in. It was still a two on one, and against really coordinated brothers, but still better odds than before. Rising up into the air liesurely he dusted himself off, frowning at hearing the obnoxious one shouting at Takeshi. "You're only worrying about your own skins with no concern for anyone else. That makes you as bad as any other Saiyan," he stated plainly, his voice full of bitter resentment. Turning to Kai and Choi his anger became more visible as his energy shot up, trembling as his Ki surged. "And I will NOT let any damned Saiyan steal my friends!" Racing ahead in a fury Vegeta closed in on Choi, pretending to throw a punch before propelling himself sideways, instead trying to catch Kai upside the head with a hard elbow.

"Whatever you want to do is fine with me Shu," Yumi replied, smiling gently. If Takeshi was handling the business with the general then for the moment anyways they had no hurry. She did want to get back before anyone had the chance to worry about them, but another 20 minutes wouldn't hurt. Opting to keep going the Beastman stopped just as she took her first steps, her ears twitching nervously as she sensed something unusual. Looking around the area confused she tried to find the source, until a sudden, sharp surge in Ki did that for her. Off in the distance to their right she could make out the glow of a blast, and then the rising of several powers, each of which she recognized. Vegeta and Takeshi were there, as were the three who had kidnapped her before. How were they found, and were they fighting to keep her safe? The very thought of those three made her furious, her face twisting into an angry snarl as she dropped the basket. "Shu!" she said sharply, not taking her eyes from where the fighting was. "Get on my back, now. We need to go help, our friends are fighting Saiyans!"
"Woah there, slow down Shu! You're asking questions faster than I can answer them!' Yumi said, laughing amused. "I don't get a lot of vacations, and I don't think it matters if you're a boy or girl really. And... You can't really hold them," she added, brow furrowing confused. So he didn't quite get what a vacation was yet, it'd take a little more explaining then. Like many things it seemed like Shu was going to have to learn as he went, as there was really no other way she could describe it other than a break. With a second slew of questions the Beastman kept her mouth shut for a moment, looking about the forest curiously. She knew the direction they had come in to get here, the very same they were heading in now. Thinking hard about it they had taken a left after finding T'charrl, which meant when they got back to that spot they'd take a right. "I do know how to get back," Yumi assured, smiling at Shu happily, "And I don't feel much like flying anyways. We might as well just go ahead and enjoy a walk back."

Vegeta smiled faintly as Kai shouted down to him, finding the kid's behavior curious in an amusing way. "The likes of me? I'm a Saiyan too, or do you mean an Earthling? Afraid to lose to someone from Earth?" The other twin was back in it too, and by the looks of things both boys intended to take the fight to him in gusto, ignoring Takeshi entirely. Wondering just where the other boy had gone he looked around, finding him heading to Viral to help out. So he was supposed to buy time right now then? Turning back to Kai and Choi he braced as they rushed in to attack him, pushing ahead to do the same. One punch was thrown, which he blocked, and the second he narrowly dodged by leaning back. Not even bothering to try landing strikes himself he vanished, distancing himself from the twins carefully. As he backed off Kabocha came in behind him, grabbing him from behind to try and restrain him. Vegeta reached over his shoulders and grabbed the Saiyan by the armor, tossing him head over heels towards the twins, smiling strained seeing him line up with the other two. "Crap... A three on one huh?"

Takeshi touched down beside Viral carefully, trying not to look over his shoulder at how Vegeta was fairing right now. "Just hold still for a second, these things are easy to get off." There was a release button right on the backside of one of the cuffs, well out of reach of the one wearing them. For another person it was as simple as finding the little divet, and after examining the links carefully he pressed the release, smiling proudly as the cuff unlocked itself. Doing the same with the other one Takeshi tossed aside the restraints, looking at Viral carefully for any signs of being roughed up. Finding none he sighed, looking back up to his former squad and Vegeta squaring off uncertainly. "Viral...? Why are they after Yumi...?" he asked, not taking his eyes from his old team. "Do you know if they're the ones who took her? Or are they just here on my father's orders?"
Yumi smiled at Shu adoringly, releasing his hand to give his nose a light tap. "That's right, we can play whenever we want. But a vacation is a little different... Maybe when we get back to Earth I can show you what I mean." As they walked back into the outside world the Beastman shielded her eyes carefully, trying not to go blind from the sudden change in lighting. Shu didn't take that precaution by the sounds of it, so she stopped for a moment to let his eyes adjust, smiling sympathetically. Once she was sure his vision had returned she starte walking again, tucking the basket under one arm as she offered the little Saiyan her hand again, enjoying walking like that. It was for her akin to taking a stroll with a little brother, and she wondered in earnest why Takeshi never did this. It was different for boys, she supposed, but getting to take a liesurely walk hand in hand with her young friend was very enjoyable. "Ready to go find the others? I bet they're all waiting for us."

Vegeta was pissed, which for him to snap as quickly as he did it was unusual. Having Yumi involved on top of Viral being victimized was just what he needed to go over the tipping point, and in an odd show of aggression from him he attacked the closest enemy to him, striking Choi with a good solid punch that sent the Saiyan back a fair deal. It felt satisfying to land a blow, but there was little time to enjoy it as the other twin immediately charged at him. Feeling a shoulder drive into his stomach Vegeta gasped, being sent down towards the ground before barely blocking a strong punch with his forearm, still hitting the earth due to momentum alone. Landing had caused a small crater, and while not really injured in the least he was dazed, his head spinning as he glared up at Kai furiously. "You're not taking my friends again, I'll kill you before that happens!" Picking himself up off of the ground he readied himself to get back into the air, but seeing a flitting figure chase down his attacker made him pause.

A fight should have been avoided, it wasn't going to fix anything. Now that blows were being exchanged though there was no helping it, not any longer. A fair bit angry over Yumi's involuntary involvement as well Takeshi chose to chase down Kai, coming right up behind him with the intent on driving both fists over head down onto the boy's back in a spike. He didn't get close enough to do that though, instead having to block a pair of feet that nearly slammed into the side of his head. Glaring beyond his arms at Kabocha his eyes darted around the area, taking a brief breather seeing that Viral had been set down below. Gritting his teeth he pushed the noble boy back, grabbing both legs and spinning before sending him hurtling awkwardly towards Choi, resuming his attack on Kai with an attempted kick of his own.
It really was a shame to be leaving this city so soon. While above ground was nice it just didn't have the same mystical charm that this one did, it was utterly absent of the glowing veins of energy and the grand tree as its centerpiece. Worse still was that they probably couldn't say a word about this while back in the stone-washed city. If these two factions were at war with one another then giving away the location of one's home was obviously not a very good idea. Nearing the doors at the forefront of the city Yumi smiled at Shu as he asked what she had ment, it wavering slightly as he seemed to become disappointed. "It's when you don't have to do anything but have fun and play games," she explained gently, giving his arm a playful swing to try and cheer him up. "If you miss Master Roshi and Earth then we'd best hurry up and get home, huh? Don't want that old man taking on new students now do we?" She had hoped to bid farewell to L'esta as well, but as they passed through the main gates to the city it was clear he wasn't around any longer. Disappointed, Yumi kept pulling Shu along with her, gradually making their way up to the brightness of the ground above.

Takeshi didn't get what these three were trying to hide from him, or why Choi was freaking out so much. It was unusual seeing the normally vibrant Saiyan panicking like that, it meant they were really in one hell of a situation then. Opening his mouth to speak he paused when a curious bit came up in the other boy's rambling. "Wait... One of the experiments...?" he mirrored, frowning as he gave the trio a puzzled look. The only other one that had been experimented on was Shu. That wasn't right though, because there was one more person in their group who had fallen into the Saiyan's clutches. Almost afraid to hear the answer Takeshi looked at Viral for a moment before his former squad, his body slumping slightly in realization. "You're talking about Yumi... Aren't you? She's the one you came here for?"

"It's not like we want to be doing this, you know!" Kabocha said, butting into the conversation. "What else can we do? Like Choi said, our hands are tied here Takeshi, you know that! And I don't see any way for you to get us out of this, so we've got to do something to keep our families safe!" The very deal they'd made initially was bogus in hindsight. After all, how was anyone going to successfully get away from their king, especially while on their home world? Those who had gotten away so far had already been off planet, but being the king's personal servants their families had no such hopes. That meant they had to be taken directly from Kortal, which was a suicide mission. Things were hardly looking ideal for them, they were just getting into a deeper and deeper pit here. Just to make matters worse another power had suddenly come to attention, and it was approaching disconcertingly fast. "Oh man... Now what?!"

Vegeta could really sense the powers now, four distinct energies straight ahead. As he raced across the forest the group finally began to come into view, first as small dots until they quickly began to take shape. To his surprise not only was Takeshi there, but Viral as well, the latter in the grasp of some Saiyan brat. Coming to a halt well behind the trio he glared at the one holding the Beastman angrily, looking over them to his friend perplexed. "What's going on here? And why are you just standing there shooting the breeze with them? They've got Viral!"

"I know Vegeta!" Takeshi shouted back, groaning as he lifted his hands and ran them back through his hair with a soft exhale. "It's complicated, okay? There's a lot going on here, and I'm really not getting any answers here." He didn't like it, but if these three weren't going to talk willingly then they'd have to be made to answer. With little reason to conceal himself the prince let his energy rise up a bit, the air around him gusting as his Ki fired out, a small aura dancing around him as a result before disappearing again. "I'm not going to ask again, put Viral down. I can't let you take him or Yumi back to my father, you know what will happen to them if you do!"

"Wait, they're after Yumi too...?" That changed things quite a bit, as if it wasn't an affront already to be trying to make off with Viral. Giving the trio a nasty glare Vegeta tightened up a bit, his own power rising out of sheer distaste for the three before him. "She's already had enough of your damned king, I'll sooner go there myself in her place than let you bring her back." he said harshly, and with no signal of any sort he dashed forward, striking out at Choi with a punch as he was the nearest to him.
Eslaria let her son go after a moment, making sure he got the message this time around. Chances were he'd do it again, knowing the boy, and they'd be right back to this once more. Sighing to herself the Queen decided then to see to their guests, and after getting a basket from her guard she delivered it down to Yumi personally. Both of them seemed to appreciate it, which was certainly good, it meant that everyone was happy now. Retaking her spot on the throne Eslaria looked at Shu curiously as he brightened up a bit, giving the young Saiyan a small smile of amusement. "You have a lot of simple pleasures, don't you little one?" she mused, crossing her arms over her chest and biting back a yawn. T'charrl didn't know it, and neither did her husband, but she had been up quite a while worrying over the Prince, and now that was catching up with her. "You are both very welcome. And the currency I gave you, it's good in both our cities and theirs," the Queen added, referring to the cities above. "I can't expect you to just abandon your residence there, but don't get too comfortable. There are people in those cities that cannot be trusted. Now, if you'll excuse me..." Eslaria rose from her seat once more, looking down at T'charrl with a small smirk. "WE have some talking to do, young man. To your room, now."

On that note Yumi figured it was likely a good idea to get a move on. Smiling apologetically at the Prince she bowed to him politely, adjusting the basket to one hand as she took Shu's in her other. "We'll keep that in mind, Your Majesty, thank you again." It felt kind of flaky leaving T'charrl here to deal with his mother, but now it was a family thing and out of their hands. Awkwardly giving a wave to Garesh as well the Beastman turned with her friend in tow and made for the exit. Some detour this had turned into, they definitely had a story to tell when they got back to the house. Now that they had some idea of the real state of things on this planet Yumi wondered just what they would do now. Leaving didn't seem right, they should try helping bring things to a peaceful end. There was the glaring issue of finding this 'corrupt one' though and even the Kaesstrians didn't know who that referred to. "Think we'll ever get a proper vacation?" Yumi mused, smiling at Shu thoughtfully and giving his arm a playful tug. "I want to go to the beach again when we get home! I miss the salty air, even on that old pervert Roshi's island."

"What do you mean you can't tell me?" Takeshi replied, frowning as he waved his hands cluelessly. "How am I supposed to cut you a deal and let you go when I have no idea what's even going on? If I'm going to even consider that then you owe it to me to fill me in. I'm not just going to let one of my friends be dragged back to that hell-hole just because my old squad needs a trophy." He knew the situation they were in, but they were certainly at an impasse. One needed someone to come back with them, and the other refused to let that happen. With Yamate pulling the strings there really was no middle ground, meaning one side was going to have to give. Kai's line of questioning managed to stump Takeshi for a good moment, the Saiyan's brow furrowing as he thought on the matter. "I don't know..." he mumbled, hands clenching into fists. "I don't have a way to save your families, not yet. But you stealing back my friends isn't going to fix that problem, all you're doing is helping my father! I bet we can find a way to get your parents away from the king, just tell me what's going on already!"

Vegeta ran out of the house in a hurry, taking off into the sky towards the group of powers he felt. One was Takeshi, he knew that much, but the others he wasn't too sure. They were vaguely recognizable, but not nearly enough to put a face to the energy. They weren't friendly, he wagered, which meant they had a problem on their hands. It had to be Saiyans, the energies were fairly strong in themselves, and the nature of them were definitely familiar. Why did those damn creeps have to follow them out here of all places? If this devolved into a fight it would be him and Takeshi against those three, not the best odds but certainly could be worse. "Dammit... This war is going to follow us around..." he mumbled, pulling no punches as he jettisoned ahead at full speed.
Eslaria listened to her son for a moment, keeping a stern expression on her face as he spoke. He genuinely seemed to like these two, even if that was only due to their saving him. It was nice to see him talkative around someone around his age, presumably, since she tended to scare off quite a few people herself. When T'charrl backtracked and tried to change his demeanor the Queen let out a small laugh, smiling as she reached over and gently rubbed one of her son's shoulders. "You can visit them so long as they stay away from the cities," she answered gently, showing a more compassionate motherly side. She then grabbed one of his antennae, the equivalent of grabbing one's ear, and looked at the boy sternly. "If I find out you went there again you won't leave this palace for a month, got it? I'll lock you up if I have to." With her little warning out of the way she softened up once more, smiling down at Shu and Yumi. "Of course, they'd have to agree to it too. But I know they wouldn't want to disappoint me or my son."

"Uh... N-No, of course not, Your Majesty!" Yumi stammered, really not wanting to say anything to the contrary. Really it would be nice to see T'charrl again, especially if it meant seeing this 'ability' of his. But having to do that under the rather terrifying eye of his mother... That was going to take a little convincing. Putting on a timid smile she looked back at Shu for a moment before pulling him to her side, turning back to Eslaria. "If it's all the same miss... We do need to be going soon. Our friends must be wondering where we are, and some of them are a real handful when they're angry..." All three men back in the city were really, given the proper ammunition. For everyone's sake then it was best that she and Shu not stay out too long.

"So you want to just leave, is that it?" the Queen asked, getting a jump out of Yumi and a small cringe from her husband. Rather than take offense as she was prone to do she smiled, nodding her head. "Very well, I can sympathize with that. We'll give you your reward and send you on your way." Waving over one of the guards she rose from her seat, coming down and meeting the man halfway, taking a basket from him. Eslaria then went to Shu and Yumi, handing the latter the basket with a kind smile. "Inside there's fruit from our city's largest tree, a shard of the Ornamium, a rare metal found on our planet, and 10,000 Kaessia, our currency. I hope that's a suitable gift for helping us bring our prince home."

Yumi took the basket a bit cluelessly, hesitant to peek inside until she was told so. When the Queen went over its contents she had to look inside, surprised by what they were getting. She didn't know how far 10,000 of their currency would get them, but it seemed like a lot. Plus they had some of the delicious fruit, hard to argue that. The metal shard she wasn't entirely sure what to do with, best to keep that in the basket and have Vegeta take a look at it. Closing the container again the Beastman smiled gratefully up to the Queen, bowing in earnest to show her appreciation. "Thank you very much, it's more than we really ought to get, but we'll take it. And we're just happy we could have helped."

Takeshi wasn't really too sure how to treat this situation. He hadn't planned on seeing these three again, not until they went back to the Saiyan world to free them. Now he was being forced to take action in some way though and he really wasn't thrilled with that. Drifting towards Choi slowly he halted when the younger boy moved back, frowning a bit in confusion. "What are you here for? And I'm not just going to forget you trying to run off with one of my friends, so put him down already." If he wasn't utterly baffled he might be angry, but at the moment he was trying to put two and two together. Viral felt the need to speak up about his predicament, Takeshi looking to the Beastman exasperatedly in turn. "I never said it was your fault, no need to get defensive..." he mumbled, sighing and crossing his arms over his chest. "Look guys... Land and we'll figure out what's going on. It's earlier than I'd have liked, but maybe now it's time to fill my end of the bargain."
