Bio

Well hello.

I guess I should introduce myself, huh.

I'm Gardevoiran, just some schmuck going to college and working towards getting a degree in Fine Arts.

I do commissions and what-not, and you can ask me to do a commission for you through my Discord (Gardevoiran #1429) or up here through RPGuild PMs, and I receive donations and payment through my Ko-fi page. Clicking the box right below here will take you to it.

I'm a nerd. I play Pokemon religiously, I dabble in some anime, I write up here, and I love watching incredibly awful movies and just making fun of them. Specifically things like "Leo the Lion" and what not.

I don't have much else to say, so I guess I can leave you guys with a really bad joke.

"What do you call a cow with two legs?"
"Lean beef."

"Hm. This was certainly a wake-up call." Akiko stepped closer to the tower. "Not the one I was expecting, certainly, but it will do." It was only a short while ago that she had seen the choices in front of her, though she didn't exactly like any of the options she had been provided, leading her to reluctantly choose the Rod in hopes it would help her with her approach to everything. There wasn't any need for someone to heal you, nor any need to fight as long as everything went according to her actions and plans.

In front of her laid three others. One was decorated in gear similar to a pirate, only she gave off a little more of a Mage vibe than what Akiko had read about in her stories. She'd probably have a boring history, but maybe she would be a little more gullible and willing to submit to Akiko than the others that she'd meet around here.

Beside her was a younger girl, merely a teenager, but sporting an interesting set of equipment on her body. It's quite interesting to see, someone as young as her being up here ready to scale the tower to see what kind of horrors and power it could grant. Ultimately, Akiko wasn't sure how she felt about the girl, outside of a vague feeling she could probably do some real damage. Nevertheless, she addressed everyone around with her name, followed by a question.

”H-Hello! My name is Umi! How are you all?”
"Umi"

Akiko didn't know how to respond at first. Did she want to go down the authoritative route and spearhead control of the party? Likely not, that'd cause for some terrible sway later. Instead, she decided to play it up to be someone who could be trusted, like a close friend. Someone not in power immediately. Hopefully, that'd help out in securing her a spot as the bard.

"Fairly decent. A little confused, but I guess we all are, eh?" Akiko said before offering a hand down to the only boy present in the area at the time, wanting to help him up. She didn't get much of a vibe, if any at all, from this person, but she wasn't too afraid that he'd be unhelpful. The ones that are quiet and shy are normally the best to count on, in her experience.

"Need a hand, mister...?"

From one encounter to the other, Digbie was face-to-face with a Dire Rat, and from the looks of things they were just as scared of eachother as they should be. Digbie immediately took up the defensive, backpedaling a few steps away from the monster before taking a few more steps... and a few more steps... and a few more steps... until eventually he hoped to stop hear the hissing. The entire time he stepped backwards, though, he kept track of where he was in a directional sense.

"... okay... where am I?" He was sure he ran fairly straight towards the Rat, not very much steering around any paths aside dodging around trees, so if he went straight behind him he was sure to find his path again. He wasn't sure how far he had run, but if he went straight back towards him he'd certainly find it again if he was careful.

He was sure he was away from the Rat at this point, so he stopped to regain his directional bearings, facing towards the Flak Beetle's location to help him figure it out. Trying to save the Yill was important, but Digbie felt like he might be able to save it once he was back with his friends. After all, if the Broken Tower Goblins came back to see him, then he didn't want his friends to get in trouble without him to negotiate with them. He didn't need to figure out magic right now, he needed to get back to help his friends.

"Okay, okay... we're lookin' from where we came from to see the rat. If we look to the left, we'd see the mountains that had Earth God in it, and if we go to the right... we'd be goin' towards the stream. From there, we follow it to get back to Torrent, Oberon, and Ash... right?" It all sounded right in Digbie's head, but he could only figure out if it was by walking the path. Worst case, he tries to go back to revisit Earth God, and use his path all over again.

With a little hesitation, Digbie turned to the right (northwestwards, meta speaking), and he began to walk. He'd either find his path, the camp, or the stream if he was right, and any of those would be just fine. Hopefully he wouldn't have to fight on his way, though.

"Well, I can certainly see what I have. It's been a little since I've been able to restock my supply, though, and this town's lack of a proper healer and quite small stockpile isn't helping my supply." Ursaren kept his supply of herbs well-stocked for any possible situation, but as of this town's predicament that the group happened across, his supply had to be drawn from, and it was quite small now. The old man was slightly irritated, but as long as the herbs were being put to good use, he didn't mind.

The group started to make their way towards the Tavern, withwhich Ursaren turned around to head back to the building he was treating everyone in. "I'll come and join you fellows within time. I promised the good people in this shack that I'd be right back. Once I'm done there, I'll be on my way." Ursaren smiled as he continued his walk back, finally stepping back into the building and looking over at the desk he was brewing everything at. There happened to be a younger boy there, looking at everything with wonder in his eyes.

"Sir, what's all this?"

"It's my alchemy supplies. Everyone in this building needs healing in some way, and I'm glad to be the one to be doing it."

"What's alchemy?"

"Making mixtures of herbs and liquids and turning them into magical drinks. It's actually quite relaxing, and sometimes the payouts are good." Ursaren explained as he put a few flower petals into his mortar and pestle, smashing them into fine dust along with a single robin's egg that hadn't birthed any young.

"Why are you crushing the flower petals and egg?"

"Well, each one has a property to it that makes them special. You can combine them together to make this..." Ursaren held down the bowl he was holding to show the reddish-yellow mixture to show the boy. Ursaren pulled it back up and started to grind it a little more, pouring it into a small glass bottle, adding a bunch of clean water to the mixture before shaking the bottle vigorously, the old man's hand glowing slightly as he did so.

The young boy's mouth opened wide as he watched the mixture formulate into a proper potion, the dark crimson hue of the bottle turning into a vibrant rose red. "If you create a mixture that's just right, you'll get a potion. This one'll heal some minor injuries, though it'll be better if it ferments a little." Ursaren set the bottle down so he could get to work on a few more.

"Wow, that's so cool!" the young boy exclaimed, a spark in his eye. "I wanna do that, can I try?!"

"Maybe later, little one. For now, just watch and observe."
uhhh i got nothin to defend my position with

To be entirely honest I forgot about this. Though, I'm on it now, don't worry!

Post'll be incoming.

[edit] Wowie kazowie, there it is.
"I, uh, gots a lot of Earth Magic. I can sense tremors and vibrations, create walls of rock, move soil with my mind, and even make large spices." Digbie said as he rose to his feet and kneeled, touching the floor in front of him as he tried to mend it. He gave it an actual effort before he realized something, a green flash appearing on his eye for a split-second. "This... isn't Earth. Material Analysis confirms that..." Yep, seemed like his magic acted a little different compared to yours.

"I uh... I got more tricks! I can create shields on people, spread healing ground, and do this!" He grabbed a small rock out of his bag (... surprisingly, it was made out of a hollowed-out, yet very large rat) and wound his arm back, preparing to throw it. As he threw it forwards, however, you can see the rock turn golden as it flies out of his hands, going much farther than something that you could even throw. In it's wake, it even left a golden trail.

"... that's... something I don't recognize, not gonna lie."

"It's called Stone Shot."
The Pumpkin King!

"That's their disguise figured out." Jack smiled as he spoke, though he did frown slightly when he realized that he was lacking in the disguise department. "Alas, I'm afraid I won't be able to enter the tavern with you all. I have no mask that'd let my identity be concealed, unlike Lock, Shock, and Barrel here." Jack returned to his smiling facade as he lifted Zero up and placed the dog on his shoulder, the spectral canine lapping at his skull.

"I'll climb up to the roof. In case anyone comes for you all and tries to do anything to hurt you, I'm fairly sure I can scare them away from doing it." He was confident in that regard. Being scary was his schtick. His number one claim to fame. If he wasn't able to scare the pants off of some n'er-do-wells, then what good would he be able to do. "Regardless of anything, though, we should get a move on. The sooner we find Sally, the better."
"This tent is a wagon." Brock said as he looked to the entrance. "I think Eve's out there guiding it. She's got the sharpest eyes of anyone in this crew, unless Digbie has better eyes." Brock thought for a moment before stepping towards the entrance himself. "I'll actually go with her. I would prefer to not see my Basilisk be burnt alive, and with how unstable her magic is, it's likely bound to happen."

As Brock walked off towards the entrance, you notice Digbie looking around the area and summoning a small ball of blue light in front of him. It seems to be shoddily constructed, as if he doesn't know exactly how it's going, but you can slowly see him start to mold its form into a more oblong oval before it shatters into sparkly blue dust. "I-I chose to be a Demiblin 'cause it gave me a good amount of magical power, honest! I'm not a bad guy at all!" Even if you're inclined to believe it, there's still something off about him...

Eh, maybe not. Maggie seems to like him, in any case. It may also be a good idea to see what he's actually capable of doing, since he'll probably be sticking around for a while, at least until you find Gobbo (if you do).

You can't help but feel your destiny has become yours once again, as the area calms back to what it once was.
The goblin looked at you and spoke, though his body language still conveyed his timidity. "A demiblin is a goblin that had been swayed to go down a dark path through doin' some form of evil act. I-I threw a flamin' rat corpse and that was enough to get the path." The goblin tilted his head at the mention of how you didn't know who/what System was. "The System is... kind of my, uh, Mourningstar called it 'micromanagin'' thing. You guys don't have it?"

"I've heard of monsters growing stronger through experience... maybe that's how it manifests for this demiblin?" Brock said, his sword raised to block Jen and make sure she doesn't run right for the goblin and beat it into the next life. "Does it know where Gobbo is?"

"Who?"

"There's your answer," Maggie bluntly said as she looked down at the Demiblin. "Do you have a name that we could call you?"

"... D-Digbie. I'd prefer to not fight anyone, if that's okay..."

With a reluctant sigh, Jen lowers her mace.
