That's what Brand did for about half the trip after losing his lead, and I did for one of my horses over the last couple long stretches of water after losing one of my leads.Brand's horse, which is now part of Awson's breeding stock, might be the sturdiest horse ever: not only did it go through oceans without a lead, it took a creeper blast straight to the face and then a short while after that a long drop that would have killed a lesser creature.It was an epic journey that took three full days in Minecraft time, all for the sake of Awson and I getting horses since there are none on the continent southwest of spawn. We happened to pass by an island that had horses about 1/3 of the way into the trip though.
