I read something once that said that due to the wide spread trade routes established after the Mongolians created their massive empire, it paved the way for the black plague to spread so far across Europe and Asia. Had that not happened and the nations they subjugated would have remained largely isolated, it wouldn't have had such a huge impact.

Depends upon what you're talking about. Every person is different, and I've learned to adjust the topics which I discuss and my general body language to suit the individuals to whom I am speaking to. Most people you can't talk about RP's and video games to because they're kinda slow on that kind of thing.

Without knowing the context of this, it doesn't make any sense even if he flips out.

Oddly enough, it seems that this is the norm these days, and although it doesn't really make sense to the norm, it doesn't actually kinda make sense considering that this is the behavior I've come to expect from people who are used to getting their way. This just happens ( if it wasn't staged of course ) to be the typical extreme case.
