Seriously? That's pretty sleazy.

I know my company (Amity) also pushes for folks to not speak up when needing to be paid for overtime. And even then, it's hard to get it approved and added to your monthly salary. And they encourage fellow teachers to compete against each other for students. And even when we get days off they wanted us to give TWO MONTHS in advance and that while we're entitled to take them, that it is very inconvenient for us to use them. So yeah, they do treat their employees like shit.

Not to mention by overworking them, no one is procreating. Japan gets in its own way a lot.

Thanks guys. It's been a struggle this past week or so. Everyone's been really nice and though I did my best, I still feel like I failed. I haven't been discriminated against in a while and I feel partly to blame for not disclosing my low vision but at the same time, I didn't think it was an issue but I also assumed someone would have noticed during our skype calls and would have said something. But I'm home, trying to find work or decide to get a (useless) Masters.

So a few posts would be nice to distract myself. :3

Japan was fucking awesome and really cheap so I hope to go back but Japanese companies suck ass. So I guess in a way, I'm better off.

@Panic Sure, I can make some adjustments, it's always tricky to know if all from the IntChk migrate to the OOC so I am sure there's room and even if we're all accounted for, I can certainly add another old world element!

If anyone is interested, I will be rebooting this tomorrow or the next day in the Interest Check section. If anyone wishes to migrate over, their character and their character's position on the ship will be prioritized over new applicants.

@NecroKnight I just don't like gender bending characters to a gender that they're not originally, it changes them from a canon character to an OC in my mind. I don't mind playing males, I wasn't sure who I would be in that situation but even then, my knowledge of Luthor isn't extensive enough for me to be interested or comfortable in that pairing. Sorry.

@Sterling They'd be trained when the puppet master comes around, however previous physical skills wouldn't be out of the question.

Approaching the Guild's 10 year anniversary

I've encountered many wonderful writers, some of which I am still in contact (even off-site) to this day. This site saw me through some troubling times as a teenager. I learned to be a better writer with the aid of many fellow roleplayers. I remember barely being able to scrounge together a few sentences and now I can string together several hefty paragraphs without much issue. This site has helped me foster my love for writing and also my love for working with fellow writers. It's inspiring to be able to create something with someone else; to see characters and worlds grow in ways I alone couldn't imagine. I also improved my graphic design many moons ago and I loved helping fellow users have neat signatures/avatars. Overall, the Guild has been a great place to invest my time and as someone who wound up majoring in Creative Writing, I am very proud and privileged to be here and see things continue to progress.
