CONSTANCE MARIT

Constance looked to him, trying to stay stoic. Upon bringing out the amulet, her solemn look faltered. She gingerly grabbed it, as if she felt unworthy to hold something like that. Clasping the sun, it felt like it purred in her hand.

”I for one would be proud to have you be a part of the family."

Tears welled in her eyes that she tried to hide. For all of her life, looking so Sol in Nero was like a curse. She was never called a child of the moon, but since she lived in Nero, never called a child of the sun. The only child she was told she was was that of a bastard. It was a limbo painful enough to sting.

It stung once more that she was light headed from lack of blood. A sun child, needing to drink blood to survive… She was a vampire who needed light, which certainly wasn’t something revered. A disgrace to both sides of her heritage, as she was filled with energy from only one half of herself.

Shaking it off, she nodded. Looking to her allies, and then to Siiga, she lifted her chin. ”Thank you. I do not mean to intrude with her request, but I don’t want her standing on her own,” She spoke, walling and bottling up her inner turmoil.

CERESE 01

Tilting her head, she was clearly confused. She was going to speak, but was interrupted by loud sounds behind her. Turning, she saw guards rushing at them.

THREAT ALERT

She was ready to charge, but was held back. She looked to Lynn, almost getting upset. She was to protect all Lassa and here she was not being allowed to. Watching her pour something down her oral cavity- oh, she was drinking something,- Lynn started producing strange sounds. Very perplexed, she thought she was supposed to amplify the sound, so she did.

Nothing seemed to be happening, but she followed non verbal orders as well. They spoke, and didn’t register for a hot minute that they were addressing her. And then, they just walked off. Turning to Lynn after they moved, her eyes were wide.

“What psychokinesis are you possessing? Nothing in my data has shown you have those abilities. We-Ooo- I demand answers!” She yelled, taking Lynn’s hands to show concern. “The young child is not in the database either! Is he a serf you have? It’s important to know of all your endeavors so I can keep you safe!”

Constance held her head high. She and Dremmick had a lot more in common than they both thought. Carrying Siiga up there with no shame, she looked Vrondi in the eyes. “This is a big stretch, but I’ve nothing to ask for that you could help with but this. My mother… I know that she is Sol. Her name was Analetta. She lives here, if she’s still alive. I’ve been told she looks like me. That’s all I know,” She spoke, trying to keep her voice strong. “Is there anyone that can help me find her?” She subconsciously starts squeezing Siiga tight, her hands clenching as she stares at the King of Light himself, basically crying for help right on front of him.

CERESE 01

With everyone else occupied with the banquet, they’d basically forgotten of their Cerese, who stood near the walls as another guard of sorts. She looked around the room, taking notice of colors. The module was updated recently, so they could spot hiding enemies better, which made them far more vibrant. They walked to the windows chasing flying creatures with her eyes. As they flew downwards, her eyes got caught at the streets, spotting a Tearian.

THREAT ALERT

Connecting it to their function of protecting Tearians, they identified dangers along the road, along with bandits and open flames as she sang. With no one watching her, she quickly made out of the hall. Guards knew of her importance, so no one really stopped her as she walked out.

After finding a potential exit as she made her way down one of the many stairwells, she arrived at a second floor garden. Seeing an opening, she casually climbed over the rail, and dropped to the streets around some bums, alarming them, as she picked herself up, and continued walking. Finding her way to the street the window had been facing, she saw the Lassa giving a merchant something. That wasn’t how it worked! The merchants were supposed to give you goods. As the Lassa walked farther away, Cerese 01 stopped at the stand grabbing the item she had given to the seller. Grabbing it, they looked up at him. He looked expectantly at her, but she produced no money, and kept walking. “Hey!” He said, stepping out of his stall to grab at her shoulder.

THREAT ALERT

Turning swiftly, she swung her leg around to kick him in his liver. He crumpled down, clutching his side. “What the hell?!” He cried, but she was already on her way. It was quite easy to track down the Tearian, since her heat mark was far different than other races. Looking at the object as she walked, she did not understand it’s purpose. What would something this small protect? Was it a weapon she hadn’t seen before? Arriving to where the Lassa sat, with a small female child, Cerese 01 held out the object to her. “I received the stolen item.”

Once Siiga was alive enough to travel, she helped to carry her over, trying to take most of the weight off her. Putting Siiga against a wall gently, she started moving the boulders by hand. Making quick work of it, too, so that they could arrive in Vrondi to get Siiga healed. Her muscles felt broken from the fighting, her mana from the magic, and mind from the shoddy plan to try and take the basilisk girl down. She felt buzzed, on autopilot as nothing seemed real. No one died… So it was a day’s work done. Clearing them enough for them all to pass through, she walked back over to Siiga.

"Are you ready to travel? You can take my horse with me. Kai rides smooth, I promise. We're going to Vrondi, and I'll get you fully healed by- I didn't react well to it either- the Aion. That's the gameplan, so far."

"Alright then, lets get to it. We are already behind. Mason is probably close to or already there." Dremmick would say after he finished wrapping up his arm.
Siiga, however, was not so buzzed. In fact, she was the very opposite of buzzed. Whatever the opposite of buzzed was? That was Siiga. She was grouchy, grumpy, down, miserable and quite a few other words that I totally didn't steal from the thesaurus. Out of all the endings this mission could have had, this was amongst the worst. Captured, without treasure and nearly dead. Fun, fun, fun! Oh, and about to be delivered into the hands of her worst enemies, what could POSSIBLY go wrong with that? She scowled angrily. "If you think I'm going to those Aion basatrds, you're dead wrong. I'd rather die than look at their smug faces."[/color]
"I don't give a damn about the Aion, I just need answers from Vrondi." Dremmick said as he leaned against a tree with his arms crossed, waiting on them. "I don't trust that 'Mirror' bastard either, but if you would rather die out here with nothing to show for yourself then be my guest."
Siiga rolled her eyes "You guys seriously cant go anywhere else? Anywhere at all?"
Dremmick sighed and looked over to Connie then back to Siiga. "Right now Vrondi has the only lead for something I'm looking for. I'm going back. As for you two, I don't know. If you want to bring her," he said, turning back to Connie, "it may be best to keep her out of sight. Stealing the horses as she did probably red flagged her to the guard."
"They can bite me if they think I'm not going to get her healed. I'll find someone in the city to do it. Doubt they even saw her, if she got this far." Frowning, she looked at the open world, with the peaks of Vrondi's capitol showing over the trees. "What's your name, by the way?"
"Siiga. Bandit, outlaw and heartbreaker." Siiga smiled, a little bit of cockiness returning to her. "Wanted all over for robbing merchants and defiling daughters."
Constance grunted. Holding out a hand to her to help get her up, she looked right at her. "I made a promise, I won't break promises. You're in no state to just not get a healer. I'll heal you on the way, and we'll figure out if we can get you in or not. I don't leave people behind."
"Hey, I'm fine!" Siiga smiled, but it was a pained grimace. She really wasnt in the kind of condition she claimed she was, but she was too fucking proud to admit that.
"Alright then, if you're fine then lets go. We've wasted enough time here."

As they neared the gates and guards, they stopped a bit out. “You’re on official business with the Aion with us, ok? Wear this,” She spoke, taking off her hooded cloak to make her look a bit less bloody, putting it over her shoulders as Siiga sat infront of her on the horse. “Worst comes to worst, I drag Mirror’s ass down here and make him bring you in. I have Sol blood, so, I hope, that I can for sure get in. That’s the least that shady dickwad can do.”

CONSTANCE MARIT AND GANYMEDE

Ganymede was blinded, and then multiple of her prey showed up. She had no idea where to look when, suddenly, something wrapped around her back as tight as a noose to a bandit’s neck, resulting in a deafening crash. The earth opened up, enveloping her like a wave. The stones flattened, like it was before. The wind stopped. Ilya let out a horrendous screech from Dremmick, and quickly went to follow after Ganymede. It opened like a cave, just long enough for him to slip in. They did not come up, and it looked like they wouldn’t until they were gone.

Faina lay there, still letting out blood from her huge body. Rocks around her started to rumble. Something popped out, landing on top of her. Constance panted, sweat glistening on her forehead. She sat, dumbfounded. Standing on weak legs, she stepped closer. “It’s a flower,” she whispered, looking back at Dremmick. The little snake popped out from her collar, looking at it’s cousin. It stayed silent, giving no hiss at all. Seeing something out of the corner of her eye and hearing shuffling, she turned, readying her shield. No… It was the woman. She instantly dropped her shield and weapon, running over, even if there was potential for the Oro girl to come back.

“Oh… My gods…” She touched a hand to her arm, gingerly. She went to try and turn her to face her. “You’ll live, I promise that. Afterall, you were a pretty good kisser,” Constance laughed, trying to keep her conscious. Going to try and pick her up, she would bring her to the sun, laying her down with her head raised a bit on her legs. Touching her wound softly after taking off her glove, she tried to channel healing through her hand.

“I’ll clear the rocks, after I try to mend her for a little bit… Then you continue with her,” She spoke, not knowing he was the killer. “Mason is probably halfway to Vrondi.” She looked to be struggling with breathing, from all the magic, though she didn't say anything. She now intensely watched Siiga, and even though it didn't do anything, she willed her to survive. She got this far, after all.

CONSTANCE MARIT AND GANYMEDE

Ganymede let out a deflating yelp, the electricity nearly making it to her until she dispersed it to the wind with her scythe- the next time she did, the shock would continue. That would be for another time. The bastard was trying to use her own weapon against her? Callisto, Io, and Europa were closer to her than the Queen herself. He didn’t even know what he started- disgusting. Someone like this was revolting even before he killed one of the Gods’ beautiful creations. Seraphim were not holy, he and the Aion showed that much.

Constance would get to work, giving a quick nod to Dremmick. She carried herself to the light as Ganymede began speaking in the sky.

“Vyurs! Avai myer suu. Basili qvas!” She cursed, the winds around her picking up. She raised her hands to the heavens, chunks of quaking rock raising. He was facing her- perfect. She moved her arms in a similar way as when she struck wind to Mason with her scythe, using her biggest bolder to try smash into his right, and injured, shoulder- right on her current target to smash her into a bloody, bloody pulp.

On the ground Ilya finally awoke enough to understand reality. As much as a basilisk showed emotion, there was extreme pain. He moved over her blood to circle Faina’s dead body. Through his mourning, he was enemies. They were the culprits of this… Two people remained on the ground, another nearly dead. As Dremmick was the closest, he went to strike, making his way over very quickly as he seemed preoccupied.

She put her shield in the sun, glinting. She got to her knees. Touching the shining shield. Like a ley line to the sun, she felt a connection. With a third eye of light, she recognized the shining near and on Mason. She was unaware of the fight above, with her focus mainly on making the reflections- though this would, if her sun tricks worked, appear after Ganymede struck with the rocks. Using that shine, it would attempt to flash in Ganymede’s eyes. During that time, she’d copy Mason in a circle all around Ganymede, all to confuse her.

GANYMEDE

That was all it took. The air pushed her continuously to her mouse, not giving the string of blood the fish to it’s bait. As the hag ragdolled in his arms, she struck. The chain connected to the end of her scythe, and she threw it out, going to try and hook it on the old lady and pull her violently towards herself. The child should’ve never touched the battlefield- and he would pay. First by failure…

CONSTANCE MARIT

Constance spotted the flirt as she now saw her in the midst of the other bloodbath, not knowing what killed her. Her eyes widened, and she looked between her objectives. She tried to call out a sincere apology to her and her ancestors… And went as fast as she could to Dremmick. Looking up at Ganymede now, she took a sharp breath in. “She needs to be trapped, or tricked in this frenzy. The lady is important… But we are obligated to protect Mason’s life first and foremost,” She yelled over the howling wind. She tried to gain direct eye contact with her cold-ally. Her mind was running faster that a rabbit being chased by a pack of wolves. “Blood… Can be shiny, right? What if,” She paused, trying to finish connecting all the strings. “I could use it to catch the light- and… guide the light over there to… Create...” Blinking a few times, she hoped to make it complete, and as foolproof as a guess could be. “I’d need something shiny near him… And then…” Ancestors, she’d need help figuring this all out. “You got your blood on the old lady from the chain, right? Could you control that to become something sharp..?” Clenching her fists, she looked up at them. “It’s a stretch, I know… It might not make sense to you… But I trust my gut and adrenaline right now. Make the old lady bleed. I think I can do this if you can.”

CONSTANCE MARIT AND GANYMEDE

Constance blinked back to life, then quickly pushed herself up, panting. Her mind felt like someone opened up a hole in her skull and decided to make scrambled eggs out of her brain. What was going on? What were people talking about? It was a different language to her.

She stood up, still dazed, stumbling, before finding her footing. Her mind reorientated everything, and she saw what was going on. The old lady lie beside her. “Mason! Get her out of here!”She yelled, hoping her numb mouth was making the right sounds. She grabbed her shield-finally being capable to reach it- and held her stand in front of the old lady, willing Mason to get out of there. If he could pick her up, that was.

Ganymede snarled. She made a short and deep “Ugh,” before changing directions. In a show of her markings flashing, she had a long chain in her hand. At the end, a small but sharp barbed-sword. Her main opponent was trying to distract her, but she wasn’t as dumb as they were. She continued to Constance, taking a huge leap in the air with a gust of wind, launching the chain with a deadly throw to the heart of the lady.

Constance’s eyes widened, and she dove to protect her. It skimmed on her shield just barely, and imbed itself inches from where the old lady lie. Constance didn’t have time for a breather though. Ganymede was coming with a downward slash. Yelping, she reached up, and caught the blade between her shield and her sword. Sparks flew. They both were strong, but who was stronger?

Luckily for the gang, it was Constance. Pushing forwards, Ganymede stumbled back, her face in dismay. She was about to lunge again when she fell to her knees, screaming in agony. Constance looked behind her, and a basilisk was bleeding everywhere- but Mason was up in the air. The smaller basilisk was dead. Blood filled the floors, partly from Ganymede's own mouth. She looked up, her eyes purely white, though it could be sensed she was looking at Mason.

She stands, scales nearly covering her whole body. She held herself like they were choking her, in addition to the snake coiling around her tightly. Imbued with another voice, this one deeper and that of a royal, it filled the air like nothing else. “WHO DARES KILL ONE OF MY CHILDREN?!” Wind stirred around the room, building up to vortex-like winds, as Ilya woke up, pain in his eyes, blood from his mouth. Rocks were thrown everywhere, some as big as Ganymede herself. Ganymede starts to get picked off the ground, not being thrown around from the tornado, but out of levitation.

Constance held herself, wind slashing at her face. The moss on the ground started to grow around her feet, letting her move, but keeping her on the ground. She tried to trudge forwards, towards Ganymede, though it would take her a while.

In the meantime, Ganymede has locked on. She slashes her scythe downwards, aiming a slice of wind at Mason, trying to get blurred winds to push him violently against the wall.

“PERISH!”

GANYMEDE

All she could offer to the dead bandit was a frown. Such a waste of time. Gany smirked now, looking at Dremmick, stepping over her body. She didn’t matter to her. Daring him with her eyes, she walked over calmly to the orb, walking backwards to face him the whole time. Summoning her scythe, she pushed weight into the gold ring at the end, and shattered the ball like it was china. Glass shards flew in many different directions, but she didn’t seem to mind. Infact, she was reveling in it. Magic essence seeped out onto the floors, and she quickly got out of it. She didn’t want to stain her shoes, afterall.

She snickered to herself, nearly doubling over. Any swing Dremmick would take now would be like a tickle, with his petty attempt to stop her. “Your evil will never prevail- your 'king’ will never win with such a horrendous cause. I will at least give you guys a fitting death- because you aren't the coward he is.” She barked, swinging her scythe in a show to be behind her back. “Sure, I’d love to have more fun, but the grown-ups have places to be,” She spoke, mockingly flashing her eyes. A hyena-grin made its way to her lips. Jumping back out to a fighting stance, she took out in a dead run to the lady, as rocks shifted on her limp body, going to put her in a position to readily expose her tender chest, with a weak attempt of a heart of a hero living inside. Such vile and malicious people should not try to play god, it was such a dishonor to the real ones trying to salvage the good on this world.

CONSTANCE MARIT AND GANYMEDE

Ganymede laughed, blood coming from the corner of her mouth spraying out a bit. Perfect. Good test, it was. Spreading her arms, her scythe vanished in a gust of air.

”Skir ashi mj voous, She sang, her voice clear as water on the lip of a wine glass. She flashed her doe eyes, nearing Siiga frozen in time. The basilisks turned towards her, their attention on their snacks slowly dispersing.

“Bours ver querv Gup vaaseur,” Came now. Constance looked at the basilisks as they started to turn away. Back to her friends, she was ready to grab them the second an opening came through. Her breathing was heavy, almost tired, as she watched vigilantly.

“Knys ir mj tyem,” Rang, with the basilisks slowing their circling. They still surrounded them, but now stopped. Constance blinked hard, just as she spotted something. The space between their tails. She’d have to charge through, but it was possible. Turning to Mason, she held out her hand to help him up.

“Vuef mien surkur skir.”

Constance fell to her knees, her shield clattering to the ground just like the Basilisk’s heads. What was happening? She gingerly looked up to Ganymede, now in line with the one that kissed her. Gany reached down, going to pry the paper off her leg.

An enchantment… Every time she reached for her shield, it seemed to get further away. Her drunkard-like attempts at standing up were futile. Everything turned into clouds, ready for her to rest her head. “Pluu…. rs…” She whispered, probably too quiet for anyone to hear. Curse her Nayu ears… Everything was amplified, not that she’d be able to withstand it with Sol ears either. She clenched her fists. Not here, not now… Please…

Ganymede continued to hum the tune of the song, putting a hand over Siiga’s ears. The perpetuated sounds into everyone’s heads was still strong. Would that shield come down? Who knew. Worth the attempt. Plus, she hoped to get the Tyro back without the paper, as she bent forwards to try and take the paper off, hoping the the lullaby would make it weak. One could dream, just like her basilisks and those incapacitated.
