It's way too early to be hearing Christmas music in the mall... can we get past Thanksgiving, first?

Interacting With; Charlotte {@HushedWhispers}

The drive was short and loud; as soon as Valentina had the car started and ready to go, she plugged her phone into the auxiliary cord and play the first song on her playlist. The windows were rolled all the way down as she drove and sang along to the classic hip-hop songs, the cool breeze massaging her scalp. She was certain that she'd gotten a few odd looks whenever she stopped at a sign or traffic light, but she didn't rightfully care. While she was at one of the lights, she checked her cell phone to read the message Char sent. Not that she had to — knowing Charlotte, she had probably been thinking the exact same thing.

By the time Val pulled into the Boutique parking lot, Char had already arrived; Val could easily spot her bright red jeep in the midst of vehicles. After parking not too far away from Charlotte, Val grabbed her purse and keys, and exited her car. Without caring whether or not she'd startle the young girl, Val suddenly peeked into Char's passenger side window and waved, a toothy grin on her face. "C'mon, girl. Let's get this show on the road!" Val practically screamed as she started her way towards the shop's front doors.

"Okay," Val spoke once the two had entered the shop, "I don't know about you, but I'm kind of freaking out. All of the shit in my closet, yet I can't seem to find anything to wear. We don't want to get to fancy. I mean, it is just a bonfire, after all. But we also don't want to look like we have zero sense of fashion, you know?" Valentina took a look around the shop and shrugged her shoulders a her friend "Where do you think we should start?"
Senior picture proofs finally came in the mail. Beyond ready to graduate.

@HushedWhispers

I'm here! Working on a post.

Is this still open?

Jocelyn simply giggled and shook her head at Anna before turning back to Elizabeth. "It's not that I don't like swimming," she said as she threw one last float in the pool, "I just don't like everything that comes with it: going under water, the feeling of water rushing into my ears and nose, the chlorine burning my eyes, the chemicals in my hair... I could do without." As more people began to show up, Jocelyn found herself giving quick hugs and nods. She was pretty excited for what their Summer would entail; she was especially excited that she would be able to spend this time with her close group of friends rather than sit at home with her family as she did in the past. If she hadn't convinced her mom to let her spend the Summer away, she knew that instead of goofing around at the pool, she'd be stuck studying early to get ahead in her classes or volunteering at a nursing home. Sure, she loved the elderly just as much as the next person, but after a while, one does tend to get tired of playing bingo and politely accepting cherry cough drops from old ladies as a candy alternative.

"But if we're playing chicken, I'd still be down," she said with a shrug, "As long as y'all are prepared to get your asses kicked. We got this in the bag, isn't that right Damar?" As Jocelyn spoke, she made her way towards the edge of the pool, sat down, and let her feet dangle in the shallow water. The water was freezing, but she knew that it would begin to warm up a bit after a while. Once it did, she slowly slid down into the pool, the water stopping just above her navel. She had her game face on, ready to play a game of chicken.
