By the context I assumed that the train would arrive very soon, basically at the end of each of our posts.
Markus cursed and faltered for a moment. This wasn't a situation he was used to reacting to, but he got his bearings quickly and transformed after Dora. He floated above the ground, flying toward the train tracks at a spring, and passing neatly through anything in the way, allowing him to take a straight line. When he arrived, he turned solid again, grabbed one victim around the waist, and dragged him down the line to a second and a third, all of whom he tackled to the ground together. He phased them all as the train came by, floating safely and intangibly away.
The premise is this:
You are a relatively normal person, who is introduced suddenly to the secret world of magic through a young but established and talented sorcerer who saves you from what at first appears to be a natural, every day, but possibly lethal situation. You decide, for whatever reason, not to ignore your new knowledge of magic and join your rescuer as his apprentice and friend.
You will learn magic from him, he will explain how it works and how to utilize it. Both you(the player) and your character will be ignorant to its intricacies until they are explained through my character. Because you as the player are also ignorant, you may have your character unwittingly perform a magical act that would be unwise, or that simply wouldn't work.
The original 1x1 was meant to have a romantic subplot. If you choose, you may try to initiate such a subplot through your character.
As for the possible small group: I definitely don't want more than four players in this, but if anyone else wants to submit an idea for a side character through PM I will gladly try to hash it out with you. Such characters may be useful in plots. If you choose to play a side character who is already versed in the magical world, I will give you a wide overview of how it works in this setting.

So two questions I shoulda already asked:
1) what year is it?
2) what's a uniform? The plain black robes and hat of he books, or the private school uniform plus robes of the movies?

Their wealth was still locked up and beyond their reach, but with Wilhelm Goethe back and searching for work, they would have spending money once again soon enough. Markus actually had to be at his job after school, but with the psychic transmission from Dora, he knew he'd just have to be a no-show.

Nobody in the cafeteria but us and her, obviously she was stalking us. I think we should keep an eye out in case she follows us, I don't like it. Can't one of you see people's energy or something?" he wasn't sure which it was, but it would be a useful skill for identifying a tail.
