[@Nexerus] I'll take you up on that offer, thank you!

And now that I'm looking at the map, there are indeed some nice open spots. Though it seems that it will be easier/more fun for me if I made a bit of an international merchant guild/bank thing.

You can have a branch in my city as well. ^^
@GreivousKhan I would, but it looks like most of the land has been reserved. So I guess my plan won't go through after all.

I will however, try to make something of a Merchant Guild/Iron Bank of Braavos combo. But as you might assume, I'll need a city-state willing to house:
- A massive bank
- A massive vault building

Perks of having that:
- Money money money
- Access to economic network with all other city states who want to house a representative of the bank
- A not insignificant thief network in most city-states with a representative.

Anyone interested?

I thought Nex was our Iron Bank? I suppose it can devolve into two competing ones who fight by proxy.
I have a proposal for you Khan. My city-state has religious freedom. So i'm guessing that there will already be quite some religions present. So you're very welcome to have your Healing Church their too. However, actual religious buildings are prohibited within the single city I'll have. This is because the city is inherently built by the followers of the Old Ways, who's religious 'building' is within the nearby woods. Though Justianism is starting to be introduced there, mostly within the slums just outside the city walls. If you'd like, your Healing Church could be there too. As I assume that a church focused on healing would have field day in the slums. What do you think?

((PS: My location is far west, on the southern side of the spine. It's the first city state you meet if you want to enter the isthmus from the south. From Tityos' side.))

Woulds they be allowed to build a apothecary at least?

Alright for the map, I don't really mind where really, just as long as its not in the desert. But My city has a large forest around it more or less along with allot of swamp land, and is built at the fork of a large river. So that its bisected into three parts.

Now onto collaborations for history Anyone open for that? Specifically neighbors and such? I want to get an idea of my cities relations with the other city states and work out major historical interactions, treaties, wars, alliances, etc.

Also as a side note, my faction's Anathema works allot like a great university/school of learning specifically in Thaumaturgy, Alchemy, and medicine. Similar to the Citadel in G Martins SOIAF's Maesters. So if anyone wants to have a Red Priest or even a White Priestess to serve in their court as an adviser on matters scientific, medical, and historical feel free to do so. I should have my race finished today.
Guys no! We must all be vanilla empires A through F.

Waking up to someone making such a complaint really boiled my blood. It's a fantasy setting. If someone wants to have sentient mushrooms I'm sure Flagg would approve if it was well written.

I'd rather see well written unique nations than six bland empires so maybe to shake your Internet phallus elsewhere? If people wanted similarly cohesive nations, based on fact it'd be a historical or alt-history setting.

Your opinion is there is a lack of cohesion. My opinion is that we're still in the world building stage and to make what is essentially nothing other than a shrouded insult is very annoying.

On brighter news, welcome Mr Khan! No you can't play as the red city as my city is already red and I must 1 up you and be cooler.

Noooo!!!!

On that note nice to see you here DM! THis really makes me want to join this, to bad Gorg will miss out but oh well.

Alright, I'll be starting my sheet today, however, as some of you know, I'm a big fan of collaborate efforts so I'm looking for at least two maybe three nations who are open to having a kinda-religion I'm going to be introducing have some presence in their city. The Healing church specializes in remedies and curing illnesses among other things, no down sides at all! But I do want the option of interacting with as many nations as possible.
@Stekkmen@Shadowpenguin07

Just an alert to make sure people who expressed interest are made aware.

Also as Skalla pointed out @Fallenreaper this would be an excellent place to get some experience in bare bones combat in an unranked match. ^^

No. I mean, just look at the chatzy, and you can tell that people are getting carried away - in my opinion at least.

A lot of us were in Gilded Throne, and that was really special. In that RP, our factions were consistent with one another and we worked off of a common history. For the most part, everyone had a fairly standard medieval nation. In this RP, it seems like everyone is trying to one-up everyone else by trying make their faction just that much cooler. Some of that of that is healthy excitement for the RP, but it's gotten to the point where everyone's nations are so discordant that they don't feel like they belong on the same world, let alone the same continent. People aren't making nations with compelling stories; from what I've seen, everyone's trying to impress one another.

That's not what RPing is about to me, and that's why I'm out. I would love for you guys to prove me wrong, though.

That's why I'm a fan of collaborated world building. It helps when people pull form a similar culture, tech range, and religion.

I apparently I scared @gorgenmast away? o.o

Awesome, the Red City might be a thing then.
Damn, I had a great idea for a city. :K
