Lady Mo swiftly caught the hatchet as it zipped through the air. Her fingers gripped the shaft as she spun it around her hand in an intimidating flourish. "It would do you good to never draw a weapon against me again, unless you have a death wish." She said as she pointed the hatchet at Mithias' vampire-specific weapon belt. The hatchet glowed slightly in her hands as she looked down at it again. With one hand on the wooden shaft and the other on the stone edge, Mo whispered in a language unknown to the vampires before her. Wood and minerals are of the Earth, and as such they have spirits and thought, for those who care enough to listen. The hatchet told the tale of its passing from hand to hand. In it's early days it caused bloodshed and horror, only later to be shared in times of smoke and peace. Lady Mo also saw it's passing from Bedivere to Mithias. Lady Mohowauuck opened her eyes and glared at Mithias with scrutiny. "You wish to foster a temporary peace with us?" she asked in a tone colored with suspicion and doubt. Even though she had seen that this is what Lord Bedivere wanted too, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease. "You cowards who fight alongside lesser beings and slay your own kin, you of so little worth wish to fight beside true greatness?" Mo held onto the hatchet tightly as she spoke. "I'm going to have to think on this ridiculous offering of peace... and I'm keeping this." she said, gesturing to the hatchet.
Yeah, I'm kinda waiting to for McHaggis and maybe Markararv (can't ever remember how it's spelled, lol) to progress the timeline before I post with Trixy again, as her next post will most likely be at Skye Manor.
She'll be able to tell for sure once she touches it, because of her spirit speaker abilities, I had planned for that when I wrote out her angry response. :p
Lady Mo was more strategic in her fighting now, staying alert and defensive in order to save her energy. The battle had losses on both sides, and it looked about time for the fighting to end, as many of the strongest warriors scattered to destinations unknown. Mohowauuck retreated closer to the treeline, fending off the relentless Purge fighters that still pursued her. Mo thrust her hand up through the crook in the crusader's armor, right under his chin, her claw-like fingers slicing through the flesh like butter. The last man actively attacking her fell to his knees before her, blood gushing out of eyes and mouth as he choked on it, his tongue now suffocating him. "That's right, kneel!" Lady Mohowauuck said the last word in a feral snarl. Her words swelled with power, and pride. She then swiftly kicked the man in his head, causing him to tumble backwards to his inevitable demise. She cast her earthly blue-green eyes upward to see two vampires heading out from the woods. She squinted at them, gauging if these vampires were comrades or enemies, and that's when she spotted the tomahawk. She remembered the meeting prior to this battle, and how the vampire lord had mentioned wanting her to appraise a similar artifact. Mo narrowed her eyes, this didn't seem to be coincidental, what happened to the collector that he should have lost a piece such as this to a lesser man? Lady Mohowauuck stormed over to the long dark-haired fellow, handsome or not, he would face her judgement. All would face her judgement, in time. "How did you get that?" she barked at him, her eyes making it obvious to what item she was speaking of.
Would not stop the scent from permeating the air.....oh I think I know what you mean.
Yeah, it was more of a "he won't see what it said" kind of thing. :p
Just so it's clear, when Trixy punched the wall she destroyed the message.
Sorry about the double post, but I thought of that scene while doing dishes and just HAD to write it out, but I didn't want people to miss an edit so big. :] P.S. I also somehow missed when Theo's CS got put up until @Savi posted IC today. Ian Somerhalder <3
Trixy listened and waited, but silence alone kissed her ears. She growled low, she would not fail this mission... it was too important. Losing Maria could very well break Alistair, it could break the Blackmoores. Beatrix retrieved both of her glocks from her hip holsters, ready to fire, as she emerged from the shadows. Trixy barreled towards the door and forced it open with her shoulder. Upon entering, Trixy attempted to take cover and poised herself to shoot. Empty. The abandoned room was empty of any enemy rogues. Beatrix couldn't detect anyone present mentally, but Maria's scent was everywhere. It was like she was right there in the room. Trixy lowered her gun-wielding arms to her sides as she walked further into the room, following the strong scent. The very moment she saw it, her lips formed a terrified little 'o'. It was no mystery why Maria's scent was so pungent now. On the wall opposite Trixy hung the dress Maria was wearing, tattered and bloody as it hung from a nail pinning it to the wall. Beside the dress was a grim message scrawled in Maria's blood, it read: "There will be Blod" Trixy's eyes blue eyes studied the message, reading it over and over again. The misspelling of 'blood' was purposeful, it was capitalized. What could it mean, aside from the fact that Maria was far from safe and no where near this abandoned building. The rogues must have known that the Blackmoores would send out a tracker, so they created a false trail. A really believable false trail. Beatrix put her guns back in their holsters and proceed to rake her fingers through her hair as she paced the room. Maria could be anywhere, scared and bleeding. Beatrix walked up to the wall with message and used her smart phone to capture a picture of it to show Alistair. Trixy then ripped the dress from the nail and bunched it up in her hands. How could she ever face Alistair with such a failure burdening her. A rage like none other pulsed through her and she punched the wall. Hard. The drywall and paint cracked and fell to the ground in a cloud of dust, even the studs behind it cracked with the force of her blows. Once she felt adequately pacified she stormed out of the building, Maria's dress still clenched in her fist.
The weight of his words did not fall lightly on Trixy's ears. Alistair trusted her enough to be charged with tracking down his beloved daughter. Whoever was responsible for this slight against the Blackmoore family would pay dearly for their folly. Madame Vengeance would destroy them all and leave ruin in her wake. Trixy prioritized her plan of attack. If the group was splitting up, she had to make sure the area was clear before dawn. Beatirx darted off into a nearby alley and awakened a sleeping bum and gathered a few druggies up. She compelled the humans to get to work cleaning up the docks, telling them they would face a painful death if they didn't get it done before sunrise. She then told them that they would forget everything that happened once they were done cleaning. The humans simply nodded, clearly taken by her spell. The simple minded were always easier to control. Beatrix turned her attention now to more pressing matters. She looked out in the direction that most of the rogues fled, but she was more clever than that. The rogue that had Maria wouldn't go the same way the others had, it would be to obvious. The scent of vampire was everywhere in the area, making it hard to track by smell, so she extended outward and sniffed around the circular perimeter surrounding where the attack had occurred. First Beatrix picked up the scent of the large group of rogues that fled in the same direction... then the musky scent that Klaus left behind.. and finally. "Maria" she whispered and reached out with her mind. The wispy tendrils of consciousness found nothing to latch onto, Maria was either too far away or she was... NO! Trixy shook her head, not willing to entertain the thought. This was a power play, Maria would be kept alive and held hostage... at least that was Trixy's hope. Trixy took off in the direction of Maria's scent, her speedy footfalls barely making a sound on the pavement. The trail took her through some very questionable areas of the city. Her leather trench billowed out behind her as she jumped down from a rooftop. Maria's scent was fresh and strong here, perhaps the rogues were behind the very door in front of her. A door that remained suspiciously unguarded. Trixy hid idly in the shadows and attempted to listen for anything that could help lead her in her search.
So... before I write this post. I forget how much the sun affects vamps in this RP... should Trixy really go out scouting as dawn approaches?
