LOVE IT!
Thanks, Wraith! :]
Béatrix: Trixy nodded when Alistair gave her the signal to stay quiet as he talked to the rogue on the phone. When one of the workers came to inform about another vampire outside the bar, Béatrix rolled her eyes and marched over to greet the most-likely unwelcomed guest. Truthfully, she was glad to get out of the same room as that insufferable twat, Adelisssa. Whether or not she actually was trying to help get Maria back, Trixy couldn’t stand the girl. As Trixy exited the backroom and entered the front of the bar, she couldn’t help but hear Maria’s scream from the speaker phone. She winced at the sound. This was Alistair’s fight though, he would handle it and she would help when she was asked to. “For France’s sake, Vincent, who could be – ” Béatrix’ words to the vampire guard halted when she saw the long, dark-haired stranger in the doorway. “Oh,” she began, stood up straighter, and cleared her throat. “Hello, come in. Welcome to The Tortuga.” She said with an indecipherable smile. Jareth: Jareth watch the ceiling with a smile on his face. He held up his hand in the air as if he was holding a paintbrush, a familiar glaze in his eyes. O-neg blanketed him in peaceful silence as he lazily lounged on his bed and gazed up at his artwork. The ceiling of his bedroom covered in his own depiction of the milky way galaxy, artfully painted to scale. To be honest, it was a breathtaking piece, it was shocking that something so beautiful could be the work of someone so ugly. A scream cut through the blissful silence. Normally such a cacophonous disturbance to Jareth’s tranquil moments would anger him, but the scream had such a lovely femininity to it. Ahh, the cry of a woman, no other sound like it in the universe! A smile peeled across Jar’s face as he hopped out of the bed to investigate. He dissected the sound in his mind: the voice, the tone, the pitch – this woman was a singer. How lovely, she’d shutter to realize how much her cries held more of a siren song to him than any love ballad would be. Theo was in the room with the source of the scream, and she was a beauty. Blood-stained and naked, she laid before him, trembling as tears ran down her face. Theo had down something to pain her leg. A strap of leather was between her teeth to allow her to cry and scream, but not say any discernible words that could give away their location. Jareth walked over to Maria and grasped her chin to tilt her face in a way that he could get a better view. His ebony eyes peered at her through locks of dark silver hair that hung about his face. He smiled as she feebly trembled in his grasp, obviously weakened by the serum he himself had concocted – it affected vampire body chemistry in a way that hindered cellular activity and rapid healing. It was the perfect pre-game to torture. “Pretty, pretty girl” he murmured as he studied her, a hungry gravelly tone to his voice. He was quiet, recognizing that Theo was on the phone and assuming it was important. He brought his lips to hers, kissing only the bottom one as they were separated by the gag. When he pulled away, he bit down slightly and caused her blood to bubble up and trickle down her chin.
@Savi, I made a bro for your bad guy, so we can be bad guy bros. :D
Chemist of the Night
NAME: Jareth ALIASES AND NICKNAMES: Jar, Chemist of the Night, JRock, The Cook. AGE: 57 TURNED: June 4th, 1982 PERSONALITY:Fun-loving, dark-hearted, musical, calculating, hot-headed, passionate, mean-spirited and extremely ambitious. Don’t let the rocker looks fool you, his business acumen is unmatched. His intelligence also makes him prideful and hard to get along with at times. Jareth also does everything with a dramatic - often theatrical and bordering on flamboyant - flair. BIOGRAPHY: Jareth was at his prime in the late seventies and early eighties. He spent his days sleeping in and his nights getting drunk, high, and making music with the boys. Jareth was the lead singer and guitarist for Crim Son, a little band he started in his foster parents’ garage - before they kicked him out, that is. I guess they didn’t like the drugs, or his friends, or his music, or… him. Even before vampirism - even with the excessive drug use - Jareth had a great mind, talent, and ambition on his side. His little garage band took off in the local Portland region, gaining a decent following and, fortunate for the boys, a few groupies. After a show one night, Jar was smoking out in the alley behind the bar when a hot little thing with fiery hair and a leather miniskirt approached him. Thinking her another groupie and always being one to objectify women, Jareth pinned her against the brick wall and kissed her hard and fast. At his brutish reaction to her charm, the vampire woman clutched her hand around his chin and switched their position only to slam him against the wall with enough force to make him shudder. “No, no, little beauty. I’m going to teach you how to submit.” She said in a purr. Jareth can’t remember much of what happened next, he remembers pain similar to getting a tattoo, except one his neck. He assumes that’s when she bit him. But she didn’t turn him then, oh no, that would have ruined all her fun. When he woke up he was tied up in leather and chains, coated in his own blood. She did things to him, evil torturous things, sometimes pleasurable things, and in a way it may have seemed like she was doing these things to show him that the way he treated women was wrong. But that wasn’t the case, she was just evil, and her behavior only caused his hatred to grow, but Jareth was clever in his hatred. Such a clever boy. The ruby-haired woman promised that if he should ever learn to submit to her, she would make him strong like she was, and he could be hers forever. Strength, Jareth craved to feel strong again, so he put his mind to work. He had convinced her that she had broken him, that he had come to love her in all the torture and time. So she turned him into a vampire, and as soon as he was able, he killed her. It didn’t take long for Jareth to figure out what his special powers were. His strengths in life became his strengths in death, as his brilliant mind constantly worked in overdrive. In the dawn of modern science, Jareth had a knack for things like chemistry and synthesis. And what did he do with his awesome powers, well he figured out how to make money, of course. Vampires, especially old vampires, get bored easily -They have an eternity to live, to explore, to contemplate, and they can’t even get high? And what do vampires have a lot of, especially the older ones? Money, and they are more than willing to spend it, especially on the darker things in life. Jareth got to work synthesizing a drug that works on vampires. He figured out a way to genetically and chemically alter human blood so that it gave vampires the effect of being high, a high much like that of tripping on acid. All vampires react to O-neg a bit differently, but for Jar, it gave him back the only thing he missed about his humanity: a way to escape his own mind. For some vampires it felt like ecstasy, or just pot, or acid, it could take you all the way up and then let you crash through the floorboards. For Jareth, it gave him back the inspiration he needed to continue with his music, it stopped the endless thinking, thinking, thinking… Vampires took to O-neg like kids in a candy store, and before long, Jareth was one of the youngest extremely wealthy vampires in the US. Wealthy, but not famous, Jareth wasn’t stupid; He kept his recipe hidden in his head and his work severely underground. In his travels, Jareth met Theo and they bonded like two f**ked up peas in a pod. Jareth is the money and brains behind Blod, and Theo is the brute strength. Theo was just the person that Jar needed to find in order to keep him safe from his own ambitious ways. FAMILY: Rogue – Blod family member. Jareth keeps his membership to Blod a secret, much like his O-neg lab. Even Adelisa wouldn’t recognize him as a Blod member… the only one who knows, and the only one who matters, is Theo. POWER: Brilliant Mind. The whole idea of people having a stronger left brain or right brain doesn’t apply to Jareth, he excels at both the arts and sciences. He is what the humans would call a bonafide genius. That being said, his mind is his own strength and weakness – it is impermeable to compulsion and mental manipulation, but his intelligence hinders his perception of social cues and morality. SIDES: Downright evil. He likes other vampires, but he seeks out the fall of the other established families in the city, desiring to have the whole city in O-neg’s grasp. Jareth is more than willing to drink from and kill humans. He is also known to be an extreme misogynist. WEAPON:Chemical warfare, where he lacks in strength, he makes up for in intelligence and crafty weaponry. Homemade bombs and acids, chemicals and fire, those sorts of things are his forte. OTHER:Don’t let the rocker chic and the charm fool you, Jareth is NOT one of the good guys.
I've got a couple things to do, but I'm going to write up a CS for a second character and post later. :]
“I am sorry.” She said in a whisper that was bulging with tangible meaning. She couldn’t remember the last time those three words passed her lips. Was it to Francis? Did she mean it then? Surely she meant it now, as her gut twisted in knots. When was the last time she felt emotions like sympathy and sorrow? Was it possible for her to feel… other feelings again as well? A flush crept up her pale neck, but not enough to meet the cheek that Alistair placed a peck on. In his own nervousness he let out a slew of word vomit, making sure to fully inform her on what he knew about the situation. When he mentioned that he knew who took Maria, Trixy tilted her head in curiosity before she fumbled for her smart phone. “What do you think this means? Blood is purposefully misspelled, you can tell because it's capitalized.” Trixy said as she held the phone in her palm. She looked up at him with worry in her eyes before showing him the picture. “The blood was hers, the whole room screamed of her scent, that’s why I was so sure that she was actually in there.” Beatrix chewed on her bottom lip with a fang and nodded in agreement with Alistair “She is still alive, but I don’t think she’s conscious. I couldn’t reach her.” She said, pointing a finger to her temple as she said ‘reach’. “Either that, or she is very far away.” She offered. “Tonight, you say? Should we try to get some rest during the day?” she asked, as if rest was possible. Trixy finally offered the dress to Alistair, she had pulled it off the wall to give to him, after all.
It wasn't long before Béatrix arrived at The Tortuga. The vampire guards at the door nodded as she walked in and the taller one spoke up. "Mornin' Madame de la Croix, Sir Alistair just went in the back room." "Thank you, Vincent." she said with a smile, trying her best not to sound cold and harsh; He wasn't the reason for her ire, after all. Trixy walked passed the bar, taking in the scent of fresh blood, alcohol, and plastic. She winced, Alistair resorting to bagged blood was a good indicator of just the mood he was in. Without a second thought, Trixy unsheathed her dagger and cut a gash deep into her palm. Dark blood oozed from the wound as she held it above a red wine goblet. Béatrix put her dagger back against her thigh and walked towards the back room, Maria's bloodied dress in one hand and her own personal offering in the other. Trixy leaned her shoulder against the door frame and watched Alistair as he rummaged through clothing. He turned to face her, worry and agitation marring his handsome face. Béatrix looked towards the floor as she walked toward him, clutching the dress in her fist. She held out the goblet of her blood to him "I can't have you drinking bagged blood on a night like tonight, plus, I know you've always wanted to try me." she said with a flirtatious smile, but the humor fell flat even to her own ears. Béatrix looked down at the dress again and frowned. "I tried, the false trail, I just..." her Old French accent thickly coated her words before she looked up at him. For the first time in a long time, the blue in her eyes wasn't harsh in any way, it was soft and warm and inviting as she prepared to offer him three words that she hadn't said in centuries. "I..." For the first time in over 500 years, Béatrix de la Croix nervously trembled before a man.
@McHaggis, hop on Chatzy! :D
Trixy headed as far from that abandoned building as she could, as if she could run from her failure. With a deep and a loud exhale, Trixy pulled out her phone. Alistair's name was one of the first names in her contacts, naturally. Her finger paused over the call button briefly as she tried to prepare her words, what could she really say to make this seem any better than it was? Beatrix shook her head and firmly pressed the call button before placing the phone against her ear. The phone rung for approximately half a millisecond before Alistair answered, his voice was low but laced with a hint of excitement. His hopefulness in her abilities only made her feel worse. "We... we need to talk. Où ètes-vous?" she asked him quickly, slipping into her native language out of nervousness. When he answered with "The Tortuga" she told him that she was on her way, easy enough since she was only minutes away via rooftop travel.
