Feel free to toss up your character introductions.

(And yes, I did actually research the cruise ship right down to the room number, suite layout, and destination cities. This cruise actually exists. I'm just that dedicated of a GM :p)

Jareth threw Old Faithful’s stick shift into park. The decrepit car’s engine shuddered a few times before he withdrew the key and put her to sleep. He made sure to disconnect the battery terminal so the vehicle wouldn’t be dead in the parking lot when he returned from what was sure to be the most glorious week of his life. Jar unpacked his things from the trunk – just a single suitcase packed with clothes, a couple bottles of the good stuff, and some… ‘party enhancers’, and his beloved guitar was in a separate case, of course. He slung the instrument over his shoulder, made sure his wallet, keys, and phone were in his pockets, and pulled the wheeled suitcase behind him as he headed for the dock.

Liberty of the Seas was breathtaking. Seeing the pictures online when booking this trip was one thing, but seeing her splendor in the Galveston, Texas sunshine was absolutely captivating. He couldn’t believe they’d managed to afford this. Jar had to book Crim Son gigs at least one night a week to earn enough to pay for his share. But hell, this was SO going to be worth it.

Check-in went pretty painlessly, and Jareth received his keys to suite 8414 on the eighth deck of the ship. He could hardly contain his excitement as he waited in line to take the elevator up. The suite kicked even more ass – a dining space, three private/semi-private sleeping areas with big beds, and a huge balcony with a view of the ocean.

“Damn…” Jar muttered in an impressed whisper as he closed the suite door behind him. It seemed like he was the first to arrive, so he picked the bedroom that seemed the best – the one in the back with an entrance to the balcony. The other available areas were the smaller bedroom immediately to the left of the entrance without access to the balcony, and the pullout king-size bed in the living room that had access to the balcony and was the biggest room, but it was only semi-private. The last to arrive would probably get that one.

After unpacking only slightly, Jar headed out onto the balcony. And by slightly unpacking, he took the bottles of Silver Tree vodka and Jim Beam single barrel whiskey out of his suitcase and put them on the balcony's table with some glasses for celebratory consumption once the guys showed up. Jar stood with his hands on the railing and breathed in the salty coastal air. Closing his eyes, he tried to drive out the guilt he still felt about what happened with Yuki. They were only together for three months, but that didn’t excuse what he did. She had fallen for him, hard, and he ruined it by drunkenly sleeping with a near-stranger at a party. At first, Jar tried to justify it to himself because Yuki was stuck on being celibate, but that only made him feel more like a dick. Maybe he was just a dick…

Jar pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. No, now was not the time to think about her. Yuki deserved better than him, he hoped she knew that. But this week was about self-forgiveness. Wendy, Jar’s college therapist, said that this trip should be about that, and that he should relax and have fun, but most of all, he needed to forgive himself.

@XxLyraxX
Both groups are supposed to be all three best friends going to the same college. But, you could have them be like childhood friends too if you wanted.
It is done.

You sinners should feel shame for what you are going to do.

SHAME!!!
@Silent Observer
I probably won't. No offense but I don't give out my facebook name to people I don't know all to well. You guys are all great but still, I think I'll pass for now.

Not a problem, I totally get it. Now that that's settled. It is time for me to draw names, inform the betrayers, I mean, authors involved and then toss up an introductory post before my D&D campaign at eight.
*wipes brow*
No stress, I got this.
@XxLyraxX Thanks for being direct with me, I love it. I may keep it a secret then, I think that's what I'd prefer. I mean, obviously I'm still going to know... but... secrets are fun!

Also, are you interested in the facebook group? Artifact just jumped into our overwhelmingly chatty craziness.
You have to help me out here, keep it a secret or nah? Lol. Give your gm some direction! :p
Alrighty

*cracks knuckles*

Before I write this first post. I am going to make a suggestion. I think that, unlike in the first roleplay, I am going to draw the names for the mystery couple that hooks up at the deck party really early on. Like early as in right now. So that way, at least the two parties involved in the hook up will know that this is coming and have time to work it into their character development. The betrayal can still be a shocking surprise, but at least the authors wil know what their characters are in for.

What are your guys' thoughts? And also, would we want this couple to be open knowledge for all of us OOC, or should only the two parties who are involved know about it?

The dragon made some condescending remark about it being amusing that she didn’t know how to dress for this occasion. Of course she didn’t, she wasn’t allowed to go to the human realm yet, it was too important for the faeries to maintain a secret existence, Kiara had to master her glamour first. She knew how to dress in faerie couture; her family was royal blood, after all. Kiki narrowed her eyes at Sul but he started talking to Alice and Oliver before she could tell him off yet again.

Thankfully for the others, Laurel was there with a distraction to put out Kiara’s hotheadedness. Laurel said that Kiki was probably a size or two smaller than herself and that her mom could pick up stuff for them. Faerie clothing was magical, so it didn’t have sizes, it would just shrink or stretch to fit the wearer perfectly. Kiki would soon find that her size fell somewhere between zero and one in the human world, unhealthy by most mortal standards, but Kiara wasn’t mortal, and she hardly ever ate solid food, unless it was ridiculously sweet. Even then, more than a bite or two would make her feel sick.

Laurel mentioned something that would show off artwork “Like tattoos? Ooh, that’s a good idea, I’d like something with a low back I think, to show off mine. Yes, a low back, and black, with feathers!” Kiara loved to wear fashion that paid homage to her relationship with Morrigane, the crow queen. “I don’t know about shoes though, I like for the souls of my feet to be in contact with nature…” she was excitedly rambling like a child, tapping her bare feet on the stone ground for emphasis. “Oh! I can pay though. Well, my daddy would.” Kiki smiled bright. Yup, she was that girl in the school.
@Aspen Wren nice. I think sulley is buying clothes for Alice and Oliver, so Kiara would still like and need laurels advice to pick something... Sensible.
