Some are hard to think of engravings for. Can't think of one for pain

A gash is a good suggestion. Or maybe a scythe? Or a broken heart?
I'm not exactly sure. I would either say an arrow or the tomoe symbol, but I leave that up to you and your interpretations. ^^"
The badges/brooches for the main sentai would be gold with an engraving that represents a sense (like a music note for hearing), and a jewel.

The prototype badges/brooches that you would see on a person before they turn into a monster will be pitch black with only an engraving for a particular sense.
"I beg of you, don't lose this. No matter what,"

Hibiki was on her way home from working at the bookstore when a man in a brown trench coat and hat that hid his features well, approached her and shoved a brooch in her hands. The stranger's voice was extremely quiet, but she just barely managed to make out what he said. Before she could ask, the man ran away. She called after him, "Huh?! W-Wait!" but the stranger didn't seem to listen, and he was clearly too fast for her to even try and follow. She blinked and she asked "What just happened...?" She looked down at the brooch. It was gold in color, and this brooch had a music note engraved on it with a single jewel in the center as a decoration. She shrugged and she held onto the brooch, figuring that if she ran into the stranger again, she'll be able to hand it back to him.

That was two days ago. Ever since that time, Hibiki's hearing improved greatly, to the point that the improvement was somewhat painful. She could hear everything around her, even if a particular was some miles away from her. She was also able to notice small sounds that everybody else may miss. At first she wore headphones to try and dull the sounds and the pain that came with them, but she found that it didn't help. Thankfully today, the pain wasn't as bad as it was yesterday. Now, it was just a peaceful and yet a not-so-quiet Saturday, the only free day in Hibiki's schedule between high school and work. As of now, she was strolling through town. They just got out of the movie theater, where a new and highly anticipated movie was released.

Hibiki's friends spoke amongst themselves about how great the movie was, while Hibiki was left in her thoughts. She couldn't help but think about the news she heard of a slasher that was out and about, and how many people were murdered by this elusive slasher. Now that she thought about it, she had heard that the crime rate was on a surprising and unusual rise in this once peaceful city. She also couldn't help but think about the brooch she had. She snapped out of her thoughts when the three of them reached the place where they split up to go back to their homes. Her friends said to HIbiki
"OK, see you on Monday!"
"And remember Hibiki! Don't sing those awesome songs on your way back! You may cause somebody's ears to bleed!"
Hibiki rolled her eyes and laughed somewhat sarcastically, "Yeah, yeah. I know. I'll be sure not to. See you guys!" She hated that she liked to sing whenever she could, but she was apparently considered too tone deaf to even try without hurting everyone's ears.

She walked alone, heading for her home, and as she did she couldn't help but hear everything around her once again. As she walked on, she couldn't help but notice that the street she walked was quieter than usual. She shrugged it off thinking that nothing was wrong and that she may just be paranoid. As she walked past the bookstore she worked at, she started humming one of the songs she heard from the movie, and it soon turned into quiet singing. She never noticed that her singing had greatly improved...and it caught something's attention.
Your character is AWESOME!

And with Hero's character up, we can NOW BEGIN! XD *audience cheers*

The first IC post is coming right up! We shall begin after receiving the badges/brooches from the mysterious figure and a little before the very first monster attack.
Kazeko groaned as she opened her eyes and stared at the grey ceiling above her. She groaned and placed her hand on her forehead and asked "Wha...? Where...Where am...I?" Her head felt fuzzy and clouded, like she just woke up from a very long dream-filled sleep. She turned only to feel nothing supporting her after she turned and she yelped, falling to the ground. She moaned "Owwww! That hurt!" She looked up to where she fell from to see that she had been sleeping on a green couch. She stood up and looked to see that she was in a shop of sorts, with a warm, lit, and homey fireplace. She heard a voice say to her, "Kupo! You're awake! Kupo! I thought you were going to be sleeping forever, the way you slept so heavily!"

Kazeko looked at the source of the voice to see that it was a small white creature with a red thing coming from the head. She had no idea what it was, but it was just so cute! She wanted to squeal and hug the cute thing, but she shook her head and immediately composed herself as the memories came back to her. What happened to her home? What was that blue weapon thing that appeared in her hand then? What happened to her family? Her friends? Were they....? She shook her head again, denying the possibility that her home and the people she cared about could be dead, and keeping possible tears from falling, as she asked "Um....Where am I?" The thing answered her in its cute voice, "Kupokupo! You are in Traverse Town! Specifically you're in the accessory shop!" Kazeko mumbled "How did I get here?" The thing seemed to give her a light glare, and nodded towards the ceiling. She followed the thing's gaze and she saw that there was a giant hole that showed the clear night sky, right above the couch where she slept.

Kazeko gave a hesitant smile and she said "Oh...Oops," The moogle seemed to sigh and he commented "Kupo...I understand it wasn't on purpose. But you owe me for repairs! This looks like it will cost 1000 munny!" Kazeko raised an eyebrow and she asked "Munny? I'm afraid I don't have any munny on me,". The shopkeeper then said "Figures. Still, come back when you can pay the debt, ok?" Kazeko nodded and said "I will. Thanks," She then left the accessory shop and stood at the steps that led to the plaza. She looked around, noticing how everything was definitely nothing like her home.

She mumbled "This really is strange. Am I sure I'm not daydreaming again?" She stepped forwards, and as she did a bright light appeared floating in front of her face. She blinked and asked "Huh?" and when the sound of a bell rang loudly, she jumped slightly out of being startled, causing her foot to miss the stairs entirely. She yelped as she fell down the front stairs and landed harshly on the ground in the Traverse Town square. She groaned answering her own question, "Ow! Yeah...I'm sure," She then looked up to see the light dart to the side and float towards a man with black hair, blue eyes, wearing white clothes in the cafe. She blinked. This guy didn't seem bad, maybe he could answer some questions? She stood up and dusted herself off before she headed over to the man with black hair and she started, "Excuse me-" However before she could get her first question out, the strange weapon appeared in her hand once again, eliciting a look of confusion on Kazeko's face. Why did this appear? The man with the black hair wasn't one of those small black creatures.
I don't mind at all. ^_^ Welcome to the rp! XD
