"Well, the priest asked if I had any visions relating to my current situation, and it turns out, dreams count as visions. I did have a dream last night. Well, I told the priest about it, and he referred me to Duke Erod's biography. After that, I went on to read about the Arisen, four of them out of eleven. Orchid's situation at the beginning of her story sounded similar to mine: She woke up in a cave scared and confused!"

Sylvia answered Pylia, she then continued,

"It seems like my situation has something to do with the Arisen. What and how exactly? I'm not sure myself,"
Sylvia greeted jovially with a wave in return "Ah, there you are, Pylia! Nah, I ran into Dirk on my way back and I spoke with him for a bit. Oh! He's the thief from this morning!" She added the last statement as she recalled that none of them really asked for his name this morning, so of course she wouldn't really know who she was talking about by name.

As she spoke, she headed for the table and sat down across from Pylia. She noticed the book but she decided to not ask about it right now. She did glance at the cover to see if she could glean a title from the cover and thus an idea of what the book may be about.

She then spoke to Pylia, "I learned a lot from reading the books though, and I think I may have a lead, but it may be a long shot,"
Sylvia answered Dirk with a small smile, "There will be time for rest, but it isn't now,"

She then left the restaurant with Dirk and parted ways from him and Toi. To Sylvia's surprise, she spotted the group of traders. Huh...Speak of the Devil!

When she spotted Iola with who she would presume was the leader of the caravan, Sylvia thought about approaching the two and talking about possibly traveling with the caravan if they're going to Gransys. But, right now, it seemed as though the leader and Iola were busy and she didn't want to be rude and interrupt them. Plus, before doing that, she figured that she would need to talk to Pylia first about traveling plans before talking to the Leader of the Traders. It would be wise to let her know what Sylvia was thinking before acting on her plans...

So, with those thoughts in mind, she decided to search for Pylia first and speak with her, about her plans and what she learned in the library. Couldn't hurt to get a second opinion.
Sylvia gave an understanding nod in response to his answer to her question. She couldn't really blame him. She doubted that she would want a life of adventure if she had seen the things he saw.

She then listened as Dirk started to explain what to expect on the road to Gransys. The monsters, bandits, safe havens, everything and where and when to expect them. That was quite valuable information. As he asked for the refill, she paid for it. After he finished, she answered him, "Hmm...Sounds like I'll need to make more preparations before I even think of leaving, maybe find a large group to travel with as well. Thank you for letting me know, Dirk. That is really helpful," As she thanked him she smiled at him.

With her soup finished, she asked, "Alright, ready for community service, Dirk?"
Sylvia listened to Dirk's answer as she slowly ate her soup. She answered him when he was done, "I wouldn't know. I'm kinda new to this place. As for what to do...well, that's up to you, I think. Plus, wouldn't the inn or inns in Gransys have job boards as well? After all, I wouldn't say your talents are nefarious by themselves. It's what you do with those talents,"

After a bit more thought, Sylvia asked Dirk, "What would you want to do? I mean, you're not going to be on Community Service forever, and I am considering heading to Gransys myself,"
Sylvia thanked the girl after she stated that she would bring the food soon. She turned her attention back to Dirk when he thanked her for listening to her. She couldn't help but blush slightly at the mention that she was a good person. At the mention of letting her have his stuff, she asked him curiously "But you need them, don't you? In order to make your way Gransys, right?" She remembered what he said regarding as to why he stole in the first place.

When the food arrived, Sylvia thanked the girl once more, and pocketed the change. She smiled to Dirk at his words, and she nodded answering "Cheers!" before taking a bite of her soup. Looking at it, the soup reminded her of clam chowder.
Sylvia took a seat across from Dirk at the lone table. She figured that she might as well have a small lunch herself, while she had the chance. Might as well try the alehouse's food while she was here as well. She nodded to Dirk with a smile as she accepted the menu. After looking it over a bit, she mentally made her choice. Once the choice was made, she looked over to the young girl who seemed to be the server, and politely called to her,

"Ah, excuse me? Miss?"

Once she had her attention, Sylvia continued politely, "Hi. I think we're ready to order," She then nodded to Dirk and she stated "He'll have the fried fish on bread and ale, and I'll have the daily soup," After she gave the order, Sylvia immediately placed two silvers down for the young girl.

Sylvia nodded and thanked Toi as she led Dirk and followed the man towards the Alehouse. As soon as they entered the alehouse, she looked to Dirk and she asked him, "What would you like to order, Dirk?" She wasn't going to make his choice for him. Lord...er, Maker knows how powerless he felt already. She felt like making a choice for him wasn't going to help things. She didn't mind paying for his lunch.
Sylvia heard Dirk's stomach, and she realized that he had missed more than just lunch. With what happened this morning and the night before, Dirk never had the chance to eat breakfast like she did! No wonder his stomach was growling so loudly!
She patted his shoulder gently and she suggested, "Let's go get you some lunch, Dirk. I'll pay for it," She then looked to Toi, giving him a questioning look as though to ask him where they could get food. She wasn't sure if the inn was the only place where they could get food for Dirk.
Sylvia was silent as she listened to Dirk. It was best to just let the poor man cry and vent his feelings out. She was grateful to Toi for making sure that the other townsfolk didn't just stand and gawk at poor Dirk. As she listened, she couldn't help but feel happy at the good times...and sad, angry, and horrified at the horrible things that Dirk had witnessed. She couldn't help but think about giving that leader of the Iron Hammers some good whacks with her staff in if she ever crossed paths with him.

Of course, when everything was said and done, Sylvia let Dirk go. She could see that he felt relieved now that he had talked about his past. After he thanked her, she smiled to him softly and answered "Hey, I'm just glad I can help out in some way," She then commented, "I don't think anyone really knows how to come back from that. But I do think it is possible. It might not be easy, it might not be crystal clear, and it might take a long time, but it is possible," She then pointed out, "While it is true that those who stand by and let evil happen are just as guilty, it still doesn't excuse the evil-doers. Plus, there's a key difference between you and the people he was talking about,"

"The people he was talking about...they don't give a second thought, or try to pretend that it didn't exist or never happened. You? You not only acknowledge it, but you also try to make up for what's happened. That means more than you realize,"

She then realized something, and she asked "Oh! Right! You were probably heading somewhere else when I started talking to you, right? Where were you headed? I can walk with you there,"
