Sylvia watched as the spirit hugged her hairpin, before it vanished and let the pin fall into the water. After that she spotted the charm and she picked it up along with the gemstone. Sylvia answered Pylia simply, “That’s good. Appearances can be deceiving, huh...”

After she had the two items and carefully stowed them in her backpack, she climbed back up the rope. Even though her heart was heavy from the loss of the hairpin, she still put on a smile and asked “Well, I think we can continue on to the next room. Three gems down, two to go,”

Sylvia blinked confusedly at the rattle, but she soon got the message as the crab waved its claw no. She put the knife away, and she heard Shortfang. Did she have anything shiny...? Her water ring wasn't very shiny, if anything when she first saw it, she dismissed as a normal ring before Mica pointed out that it was enchanted. There was gold, but she doubted the spirit would want gold.

When it seemed as though she didn't have anything shiny, she remembered the hairpin in her hair. That counted as shiny...especially with the blue stone in it. She took the hairpin out of her hair, and held it in her hands. She felt her heart break as she looked at the pin in her hands. The thought of having to give this away for the stone hurt. She does her best to hold back tears, and silently offered it to the spirit.

...As precious as the hairpin her grandparents gave her is, she knows that she needs to continue on in order to get home. She can apologize to her grandparents when...if she gets back home.
Let's go with one more Insight check!

Sylvia answered Pylia, "It hasn't said anything yet," She carefully watched the spirit for any sign of communication. The only thing she got was the spirit looking to the gemstone before looking back to her. She then heard Pylia's suggestion and answered "Maybe. I'll give that a shot," The only question was what did it consider to be of equal value to the gemstone? How valuable was the gemstone to it in the first place?

She then fished through her backpack. She decided to try something simple first. Maybe the spirit would like one of her throwing knives? She took out the throwing knife and held it in her palm so as to not appear threatening, and held it out towards the spirit in an offering motion.
Oh not good!

Oh man! This was so cool! She couldn't help but laugh a bit when she saw that she was actually walking on water! She called to Pylia excitedly, "Oh man! Pylia, Shortfang, do you see this?! I'm actually walking on water! This is so cool!" Of course, Sylvia calmed down and focused back on the task at hand. Just as she was about to reach for the gem she had to jump back, a little startled by the crab's and thing's appearance. At first she was prepared to fight, but then she realized that the crab wasn't hostile. It was just defending its territory. What was that figure on the top of the crab? It kinda looked like something from Studio Ghibli.

She called back to Pylia and Shortfang, while keeping her eyes on both the crab and the white figure "I'm fine! I think the crab's just defending its territory. Any ideas on what the little white guy with the crab may be?"
"It's alright, Shortfang. It was worth a shot," She answered Shortfang's apology. After that she walked over to Pylia was. After she gave her advice, Sylvia nodded and answered "OK. I'll try and be quick," She then started climbing down the rope and into or onto the water. This was a good chance to see what exactly her water ring did. Would she be able to walk on water? Or just swim really well?

Either way, she would go up to the corpse and try to grab the object out of its hand.
Sylvia thought about the two options presented. She had to agree, the fishing rod was a safer idea, and even if it was slower than her just going in there, it would be a good way to see if anything was in there. She spoke up, "Shortfang, that's a great idea. Let's try fishing it out first, and if that doesn't work, then I'll go and get it myself,"
There! That light and the corpse! Considering the where the last two gemstones were found, it wouldn't surprise her if that light was a gem. She knew there was something in this room that they were missing! But it was in a pool ten to fifteen feet below...

Hoo boy...

Sylvia called to Pylia and Shortfang, "Guys! I see something reflecting light down there. I think it might be a gem!" She wanted to investigate, but she knew better than to just jump down there. She was going to need some way of getting back up again. Plus...who knows what could be down there? She would need Pylia's and Shortfang's help as well...

Sylvia cautiously looked around the room as well, wondering if one of the gemstones would be hidden around here. This place seemed serene, but Sylvia remained on guard as she took the time to look around. Sylvia answered Pylia as she kept looking cautiously, "I'll be with you in just a moment..." She kept looking. Maybe she'll find something that Pylia or Shortfang possibly missed.
