Sylvia nodded in agreement with Pylia. She then looked at Shortfang when he suggested sending Syfr to get the guards and she nodded answering him with a smile, "Great idea, Shortfang!" She then had a thought on that idea, and she added to Shortfang's idea, "I have an idea, to make sure that Shor and the other guards do follow Syfr and don't get confused. I don't think Syfr can talk...so what if we wrote a message to them, explaining what's going on a little bit, ask for their help, and Syfr can deliver that to them before leading them back to the sewers?"

She had to admit...she might have gotten that idea from Harry Potter.

It wasn't long before Skinwalker came back with the meatball soup. She accepts the meatball soup and she thanks Skinwalker politely before eating just the soup. She was carefully and trying to be subtle in avoiding the meat. She didn't want to offend Skinwalker, and she knew that the meatballs were from rat...

She noticed the forlorn feeling despite the smile before it disappeared as Shortfang hyped himself up once more. Sylvia smiled as his cheer returned. It's kind of infectious. It disappeared when Pylia voiced her thoughts, and as Pylia spoke, the more it clicked in Sylvia's mind. She answered Pylia, in slight shock at the revelation, "Pylia...you may be right!" If that were truly the case, then this was definitely something that they needed to take care of, immediately. She then spoke up, "That means...we'll need to find evidence of Elysium's influence while we help the Sewer Dragons, for the Grey Scales and the Guards of Gransys,"
Sylvia smiled at Shortfang's answer, before sitting back down. It was then that Shortfang spoke. She listened to him attentively, and she came to realize that he had been talking about the first camp, and how Garruk had tricked him into stealing Mariam's items. Never had Sylvia looked back on a fight and felt glad that she gave her opponent some good strikes until now. Thinking back on the situation made her wonder if the hunter knew the whole situation to begin with and that was why he pointed her to Shortfang...

Then he got to his point. She could hear the defeat in his words. When he asked, she decided to answer, "We can't make decisions for other people, and bringing peace between humans and kobolds is not a change that can happen overnight. I think the best thing we can do for the tribe is to just help them out as much as we can. We just need to take it one step at a time. For now, we can focus on Green Eyes before turning our attention onto the trogs and Red Stain, and then talking with the Grey Scales,"

She then added thoughtfully, "They said the trog problem was caused by humans....If I asked the Grey Scales how so, then maybe I could talk to Duke Erod about it and make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again,"

She then realized something and she looked to Shortfang while pointing out, "They're not the only ones who have grown stronger. I think you have a bit of magic of your own, Shortfang," She directed her gaze at Syfr and she pointed out, "Befriending an owl and somehow being able to know what he sees while he's flying ahead...that's not a small feat,"
Sylvia could feel a bead of sweat drip down the side of her face from the anxiety of Skinwalker threatening her. But thankfully, the air seemed to lighten up when Shortfang returned...with rat meat. She could feel sick already, but she didn't dare to show it, nor complain against the food. She listened to what Shortfang had to say about the process of cooking rat...just...in case she needed to cook rat? ....

Then it was mentioned that everyone is supposed to help make the meatballs. She could see Pylia was nervous, and as the rat meat was grounded, it became harder to tell that it came from rat, which eased the sick feeling in Sylvia's stomach a little. When it was turn, she nodded to Shortfang, and she took her turn. Using her cooking experience to her advantage, she chopped the meat, saying out loud, "Chop chop chop chop!" She then asked once she had done her fair bit of shopping, "How's this?"
Sylvia entered the small hut with everyone, lowering her mask as she did. She answered the apology and thanks with a smile and an "It's not a problem," She watched as Shortfang translated for his mother and explained the roots and herbs she just gave the group. When Shortfang explained the roots, Sylvia commented "This will definitely help! Thank you, Skinwalker,"

It wasn't long till Shortfang left and the room seemed to grow a little more serious. She caught Pylia's nervous gaze before looking back to Skinwalker. She then spoke, and when she mentioned that she wasn't from here, Sylvia answered, "That is very astute. Indeed, I'm not from here. I'm from somewhere...very far away,"

She listened as she spoke more about Shortfang, and she couldn't help but smile. The fact that Shortfang wants to become a hero and unite humans and kobolds...it was heartwarming for Sylvia to hear. It was indeed like hearing a kid back home saying they wanted to be a superhero, but she felt that Shortfang could actually achieve those dreams here.

Her smile faded a bit when Skinwalker looked serious and gave her warning. As she did, Skinwalker's name and occupation clicked in Sylvia's mind and she shuddered at the thought of what Skinwalker would do if they hurt Shortfang. She answered Skinwalker, just as serious as she was but maintaining respect, "You have my word. We will not hurt Shortfang. If anything, we will do all we can to protect him and help him if he needs it,"
Sylvia followed Shortfang and listened as he explained the history of the kobolds and the Underhaven. So the kobolds and humans were friends, and the kobolds were here in the sewers willingly. Sylvia honestly thought that the kobolds were forced to be here. When she heard about the two probable causes for the rift between kobolds and humans, she honestly figured that maybe selfish humans were the main cause. She then heard about Shortfang's mother, and she couldn't help but smile.

She quickly put on the mask as soon as she heard Pylia gagged, but it wasn't fast enough as she caught whiff of the chemicals and other awful smells here. She watched as Shortfang seemed to have called for his mother, and the both of them hugged each other. It really was nice to see Shortfang reunited with his family, it made Sylvia happy...and a little homesick for her grandparents. She wished she could introduce her friends to them, but they were a world away...literally!

She answered Shortfang and Skinwalker happily, "It's nice to meet you, Skinwalker! And it's no problem, Shortfang is an awesome friend," She then introduced herself and the others, "I'm Sylvia, and this is Pylia. And this big guy is Buddy!"
Sylvia nodded at her hospitality and warning as well, before leaving the Grey Scales' home. After Pylia mentioned that the air here wasn't as bad as the rest of the sewers, Sylvia lowered her mask as well. Sylvia answered her, "OK. I'll need to meditate and regain some of my ki back anyways," She then blinked when Shortfang mentioned visiting his mother, and she answered smiling, "Sure. Let's go!"
Sylvia quirked an eyebrow. She never really considered herself a missionary, she wasn't out to convert people to a different religion. She nodded in agreement when Longstrider mentioned that they should take care of the troglodytes first. She watched as the Grey Scale blew at the smoke and caused images to form while she spoke.

The Red Stain...what on earth was that? And what was its plans? If it won against the kobolds...then would it turn its attention onto the rest of Gransys above the sewers?

She felt sick at the mention that there used to be a thousand kobolds here, and now there were only three hundred. The two Sewer Dragons must have been the two kobolds riding the gators just outside of this village...

She listened as she told her that they couldn't hope to face the Red Stain alone, and to go find Green Eyes the crocodile. After Longstrider apologized for the hostility, she nodded and answered her, "Your distrust and hostility is completely understandable. There's no need to apologize. We'll help you find Green Eyes and we'll bring him back,"
Sylvia sighed quietly as the guards didn’t want to listen to reason. Before she could try and prevent a fight from happening, she heard a voice telling the guards to let them in. With a slight sigh of relief, she entered the home of the Grey Scales. After they introduced themselves and asked why they were here, she answered them respectfully,

“It is nice to meet you, Grey Scale Longstrider. My name is Sylvia. As we have told the guards, we are not here to hurt, or persecute, anyone. We have actually come to inform you of the prophetic dreams Shortfang and I had, as well as offer our assistance in fighting off the trogs,”
Sylvia watched the kobolds and she listened to Pylia as she gave a rough translation of what they were saying. She nodded to Pylia in silent thanks, and she followed the kobold as he led them into the sewers and to their small village within. It was kinda amazing that a small village of people could stand to live in the sewers, and it was also...kind of saddening. As they walked through, she looked around curiously.

Soon enough they reached the house that looked like a maw. She was quiet as one of the guards said that they weren't welcome and Shortfang's words didn't seem to reach him. She whispered back to Pylia, "I'm not sure if anything we say will convince them. Hopefully our previous actions will be much more convincing," As she made the last statement she glanced at the kobold who led them here.

She looked to the guards, and she spoke, "We understand your concerns, but we can assure you we're not here to hurt any of you. We even helped you fight off the trogs just outside of your home. We have to talk to the Grey Scales about a threat that is much bigger than the trogs,"
